...Another day and another magazine review. Apologies for doing two in a row. I wouldn't normally, but I had a reply to my product proposal for Candis the other day, just as I was in the middle of my Bella offering. However, they are different magazines with different styles, so I hope it's not too boring ! I started reading Candis about 4 years ago. A very nice elderly lady knocked on our front door and sold an issue to us. I don't normally buy things from door to door salespeople, but this lady wasn't your typical 'rep'. She explained about the magazine and about the Club, and let me have a look at it. It only cost around £2 back then, and so I decided to try it out. Advantages: good acting, fairly gripping
Disadvantages: a bit depressing, some people might be offended/squeamish!

...Candy was released in 2006 and tells the story of two young lovers, artist Candy and poet Dan, becoming more and more involved in drugs, in particular the use of heroin. Candy is played by Abbie Cornish (SOMERSAULT) and Dan by Heath Ledger (BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, A KNIGHT'S TALE). Before watching this movie I had not seen any of Abbie's previous work, but was always impressed by Heath's acting, and after his sad death by accidental overdose in January decided to catch up on some of his work I hadn't yet seen. The film is based on the novel Candy: A Novel of Love and Addiction by Luke Davies, which can be found from £4.83 on Amazon Marketplace or in good bookshops. I have yet to read the book but after watching the film I would be interested to see how similar the two are, it comes with excellent reviews. I cant comment... Read review

Advantages: Great design, economical, only have to de-frost every 6 months, ample space.

...After searching around for hours trying to find the model of my Candy fridge/freezer (a picture would have helped Ciao!) I finally nailed it down to the CPCA250K model, which fortunately was listed in the kitchen appliances category. So here lies my opinion on the Candy CPCA250K and my first submission to the premium fund: Introduction It was approximately 7 months ago we purchased this fridge for the special offer of £199, from a high street store. We decided upon a Candy fridge, as we currently own a Candy washing machine which has served it’s purpose for many years without repair. ...As a member of a survey panel- I was offered a choice of gifts in return of completing surveys. I was going through the catalogue trying to find out what to choose? My husband joined the children and convinced me to choose a candy floss maker. My children were quite excited about it and we waited quite anxiously for its arrival. We received a huge but very light cardboard box and inside it was another box with the candy floss maker. The packaging was very basic and unimpressive. The machine works on mains power and consumes 470 watts. It comes with a 12-month warranty. ...For Christmas my children bought me a Princess Silver Cotton Candy (a candy floss maker). I'm sure however this was more for their benefit than mine. CONTENTS: Rotating disc Bowl (approx 13" diameter) Base Measuring spoon Candyfloss sticks HOW TO USE: Before you can start to use the Candy floss maker you have to assemble it, this is relatively easy and comes with full instructions. Disadvantages: Some Programmes Seem to take forever

...on the internet which met all three of these criteria was a Hoover machine which was available in store at Comet for £349.99 or on the internet for £299.99. However, the earliest delivery date for this particular machine via the internet was a further 10 days and given that we were now without a working machine and with two small children as well, that clearly was not an option. So I decided that I would go in store the next day and try and blag the internet deal if they had the particular machine in stock. So into Comet I went and low and behold they had the machine which I wanted which was available for £349.99. I tried to get the assistant to honour the internet price but to no avail, so on principal I opted to purchase another comparable machine if one was available. Advantages: smells delicious, like bathing in a sweet shop, softens water, moisturises skin

...about one of my Lush addictions. I have tried several of these bubble bar slices, lets face it after all the effort Helen has put in to create and perfect such bubbly delights how could I not feel compelled to try the lot, but the one I keep coming back to time and time again is the creamy candy bath. Lush ensure that, 'one bar contains exactly the right amount of fragrance and bubble stuff for one fluffy, Hollywood style luxury bath.' So, does it live up to that claim? Creamy Candy is, in my opinion, a French fancy as it tends to come in smaller sizes than other bubble bar slices. However, don't think for one minute that this reduces its potency or effectiveness at all. This bar may be petite but its delightful aroma punches you hard on the nose and it smells and looks almost good enough to eat. The bar comes in a lovely shade... Read review

Advantages: smells good enough to eat, softens and smooths skin

...Lush products to choose from which are mainly highly scented, brightly coloured and have really funky names. You really do have an awful lot to choose from when you enter a Lush store and could easily spend a small fortune, I normally set myself a limit of £30-40 maximum otherwise I could easily spend double or treble that amount in the space of a few minutes. Normally when I'm choosing a new Lush goodie to try out I am drawn to the products which are either bright pink or purple in colour; mainly because pink and purple are my favourite colours and they look all girly and feminine. Lush Creamy Candy is a bubble bar which is pink in colour, and again looks all feminine and girly. I think that the bubble bar looks really similar to that of a decorative piece of handmade soap; it has the same appearance and feel to a bar of soap... Read review
