canons ultimate scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 600F by
lynseyb
Advantages: fairly easy to use and great software
Disadvantages: yet to find one
...transfers and scanning speeds.
The included software greatly enhances resolution, up to an amazing 19200 colour dpi. Built-in retouching technology removes much of the dust and scratches on original prints, and revives faded images. One convenient cable to your computer provides both a USB connection and power. Large function buttons automate the scanning process - select the use for the image, and it's ready in seconds.
priced between 65 and 80 pound this scanner is nowhere near the most expensive on the market but cant be far off being one of the best!
feast your eyes over its impresive Specifications.

No! You Don't Sit On It !
Review of Canon MPC600F by
benraiben
Advantages: Lots Of Features/ Good For Businesses
Disadvantages: See review
...The Canon Smartbase MPC600F is a very useful piece of equipment to own. It is an inkjet printer, colour scanner and a fax machine in one with colour copying capabilities. This all sounds good doesn't it? Well, now let us take a closer look..!
The equipment comes in a nicely packaged box as most equipment does, along with the instruction manual. The manual is easy to read and follow as it is detailed with diagrams.
The equipment itself is rather compact and measures in at 58 by 44cm so would easily fit in any small study room, or for its prime use, in a small office. The manual does state that this would be good for small businesses actually.
The unit itself is actually quite nicely designed and easy to operate. To the centre of the machine's front panel there are three illuminated buttons which allow you to choose what...

Suzuki GSX600F - Every home should have one
Review of Suzuki GSX600-F by
Speedi01
Advantages: Cost or running, purchase and parts, practicality
Disadvantages: Engine Access, some say looks
...I first came into the possesion of my 1997 Suzuki GSXF600 in 2001.. For a quite suprisinng £1195.00.
I had just come off of a Yamaha XJ600 (literally) which I found a brilliant bike, which the press also underated, after looking through the local RAG the Suzuki caught my eye and I decided to try another one of the biking press' snub jobs.
BAD POINTS
When I first got it back to my little bike museum in my back garden the first thing that I found was the poor finish on the engine casing, front forks and the rear swingarm... although this is a classic weathering problem I have heard that it is common with these. I took the time and re-did what suzuki should have done properly and it looks a treat.
The front end is a bit heavy, its something that I have heard from every owner, you only really notice it in the corners and when you...

Sweet lovely F4
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
quick789
Advantages: Nimble bike for practical every day use for street, Track and Tour
Disadvantages: Too tame...
...I have been riding my gixxer for 40 month till I get my CBR900RRV in 00. Rode the Fireblade for 10 months till I laid my eyes on a used CBR600F4 June 2001, with 8000km on the clock.
Been riding it for 12 months and travelled 20000km under my hand....First impression of the bike is gentle instead of aggressive. This bike come with a mainstand....Scratch my head?? Why?? Now then I realised that this bike is meant for Track but yet retained it street usbility. Perfect for my case here.
I tried the 2001 CBR600f4i before I bought my F4. F4i pull slightly stronger at low rev, fret not F4 have no problem in keeping up at all times. Honda fuel-injection suck big time, F4i is so noisy and unrefined compared to the older brother the carb model.
My prior CBR900RRV was easy to live with, plus that tendon ripping power. Been doing abit...

Why is the CBR600 the best selling bike ever?
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
goodo
Advantages: Comfort, Reliability, Durability
Disadvantages: Gearbox, Camchain tensioners
...Introduction
My second bike ever, was a second hand 2 year old Honda CBR600F with 6k on the clock. It's the 2002 fuel injected version. My first bike was a Suzuki SV650S which I got after passing my Direct Access in 2002. The Honda was something of a step up from the SV, which was starting to limit my learning on account of its budget suspension. I fancied something a little bit sharper to challenge me a bit more. I looked around at the sports 600s and even considered a 900 for a while then dismissed it - then I realised; a couple of years on a 600 would be a good learning exercise for me. The two bikes I considered were a Kawasaki ZX6r and the Honda CBR600F. The reliability issues with carb icing on the Kwak led me to buy the Honda. £4300 later I was the proud owner of a brand-ish new CBR600F in navy blue /silver.
Engine
I had...

This Teapot is my cup of tea!
Review of Suzuki GSX600-F by
Odysseus4
Advantages: More "oomph" than the GS500
Disadvantages: Adding a rack and top box mucks up the aerodynamics a bit!
...Introduction:
Well despite my love for the GS500 that I rode happily for just over two years (see review), I decided the time had come to get a bike with a bit more "oomph". Not that I wanted to race at high speed all over the place, but it is nice to have that extra bit of acceleration to get you out of trouble sometimes or to pull away quickly!
Choosing a bike:
I didn't want an out and out sports bike so had a look around and came up with a "preferred" list as follows:
Yamaha Fazer;
Honda Hornet;
Triumph Bonneville (new version);
Suzuki GSX 600F.
Well I sat on the Fazer at the NEC and it felt good, definitely a possibility. Then I knew someone shorter than me with a Hornet who loved it and found it OK for her, so that was also on the cards. I really liked the idea of a British bike but the Bonneville isn't fared...

Review of Honda CBR600FS Road Bike by
BuddieM8
Advantages: Brilliant all rounder
Disadvantages: er cant think of any!
...I have a CBR600F its a J reg (92) so its quite old. But theres still alot of life in the ol girl. Its my first bike, so I'm bound to be a bit bias, but I had done alot of research before I got it, to find out what would be the best first time bike to get. This is a good ALL ROUNDER bike. It handles well at really slow speeds, when you need your clutch control, when filtering or moving in slow traffic, and it handles well at high speed. It definately has the power there (even in top gear) to get you out of difficult situations should you need to. It is an easy bike to manuover, and it can take alot of abuse. Its brilliant on fuel. It has a comfy seat for you and the pillion. I think thats pretty vital esp if going on a long journey, which I have done many times now, taken long weekends away, touring the countryside. Its handles...

2002 MODEL injection and electronics
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
alexmessomalex
Advantages: price, comfort, engine, brakes
Disadvantages: cooling system
...************** modification of the 14-02-2002 **************
Unfortunately months ago my motorbike has been crushed and the assurance of the crusher payed me completely so in the past month I registered my new CBR 600F 2002. The opinion of the past year is not changed null therefore that you read here under is still valid, the modifications are only in the colorations (classic HRC red-white-blue are of a darker blue) and in restyling of the direction pointers (now more streamlined).
*****************************************************
I have paid the new HONDA CBR 600F 2001 white-red-blue in monday 30/07/2001 obtaining approximately 12,5% of reduction in price (WOW!). Tuesday 31/07/2001 I have sold my YAMAHA TZR125 RR of 1995. Wednesday 01/08/2001 I have received the plate number and have gone to take it. Only 2 days, a record...

Honda CBR600
Review of Honda CBR600F4 by
Sirus619
Advantages: Looks very modern and sporty
Disadvantages: high pegs at the back can cause pain in your legs
...for Vincent) went down to the local Motorcycle shop, which he did used to work for many years ago, before it got taken over and made some enquiries.
Everyone never wants to take a step back they always want to go forward. Obviously another 350cc would not please Vinnie he has to go one step further. He asked Tony who is part owner of the shop about the new Honda CBR600F. Like all salesmen and women it is their job to sell a product and my dad was well and truly convinced about the bike.
Now convinced it was the right bike for him it was now onto the second phase. Bare in mind this was all spur of the moment and he was just looking for a new bike possibly to invest in sometime in the near future, he asked what type of part exchange deal he could get. His old bike was now 10 years so it was not the most valuable item he owned.
Tony...

Mine's an Earl Grey - read on....
Review of Suzuki GSX600-F by
martinlross
Advantages: Cheap, Comfy, Practicable, Tough
Disadvantages: Image, Cheap
...The GSX600F. To some folk the very name elicits smirks, winks and nudges and conjures up images of teapots - apparently owing to its sculpting. To others it means real value for money biking with low buying and running costs. So how do I rate this questionable piece of motorcycling heritage? Read on!
This was my first bike after passing my bike test in 1996. I bought it for £2500 back then and that was a bit over the odds but I didn't know better.
It had a lovely paint scheme (metallic blue with Lucky Strike logos) and was mistaken, even by hardened sports bike fanatics, for something more than it was. But this paint scheme was there for a reason! Once home my prize and joy was stripped to see what lay beneath that vast expanse of plastic. Exhibit A - two majorly patched up and stitched together panels. Beautifully done...
