...The lexmark 82 cartridge is a decent ink cartridge that delivers all that you expect but nothing more and ends up being satisfactory. It is a black ink catridge compatible with the following printer series: X5100 series Z55 series Z65 series As you can see the lexmark 82 is not compatible with a lot of printers. Whenever i see other ink cartridges, their list of compatible printers is usually quite long but not this one. As a result the cartridge is not in as much demand as other cartridges and i often find that my local high street stores dont sell them or are out of stock. The main problem with this cartridge is the price. Whenever i go to my local high street to buy ink i always find that this ink cartridge is always more expensive than most of the other ink cartridges for other lexmarks, as well as other printer brands... ...When the (then) next generation systems were announced, everyone was surprised at Nintendo's decision to use cartridges for the Nintendo 64. The Saturn and PlayStation both used CDs. Why was that? For Nintendo, their main concern was piracy. CDs are easy to copy but cartridges are not. Unfortunately, cartridges are more expensive than CDs, hence the reason why N64 games are £40, while PSX games are less than half that price. Also, cartridges can store less data than a CD so N64 games lacked FMV and CD quality sound. However, there were benefits for us, the gamers. Cartridges are much harder to break and damage then CDs. Also, there are no loading times and we can even save our game data onto the cartridge, without the need for an additional memory pak. For those who do not wish to use the manufacturer's branded replacement cartridges, it may be well worth visiting www.cartridgeshop.com (can visit through the Egg (www.Egg.com) shopping zone). This site provides a massive array of printer cartridges which are cheaper (by far) and of comparable quality to the manufacturers branded product. Delivery is very quick and their customer service is very quick to reply to any issues. ...I was recommended to ink cartridge direct by a friend. He knew I was looking for some ink cartridges for my printer and I couldn't find them at a reasonable price any where. I think it was Tesco who where trying to charge me £20 for a new cartridge, I went on print cartridge direct and found al 4 of the cartridges for £11.99 a result. They post the cartridges first class for 99p which I thought was great. The cartridges aren't branded however they work fine and I was more interested in the cost than the quality, which is why print cartridge direct is great. Its simple and easy to order and they have a great choice, its easy to search, and they send you information throughout your order process so you know where you are. ...Having a printer can be very expensive, the prices generally of cartridges is outrageous. Most of the Lexmark printers on the market use 2 cartridges, a black and a tri-colour. These cartridges can cost up to £30 each making it an expensive do to print those masterpieces. Lexmark however seem to have come up with a pretty good idea and it is a simple one really, take a normal cartridge and do not completely fill it and sell it half price or in this case just under at £14.97. The box for this cartridge identifies the cartridge as a moderate use cartridge compared to the No 27 which is the same and identified as a high yield cartridge. Unfortunately there seems to be no indication as to exactly what is considered a moderate usage. Since most people only use their prints now and then and the cartridges have a tendency to dry out... ...This cartridge fits a variety of Lexmark printers. In general it is easy to fit - with the usual load and lock Lexmark carriage on your printer. Just take off the tape covering the print head insert the cartridge and lock into the carriage. Most printer software will detect this change and then ask you to go through the simple cartidge alignment procedure The cartridge produces quality output - colours are very good and realistic. depending on the printer you can get near photo quality prints from this cartidge It has a reasonable output in terms of number of pages it will create My only gripe is the cost of these cartridges - you need to consider refilling them as a cost effective way of prolonging their life. ...When I came to change the black ink cartridge in my Cannon ip4200 I was shocked at the price of genuine Cannon cartridges. The black one which this replaces would have cost around £10, and although I trust Cannon and understand that they do produce high quality products I could not justify spending this amount on the cartridges. After looking around on the Internet I had initially been put off the cheap cartridges as they were often unbranded and no information was provided with them. Inkrite actually provide detailed descriptions of the products and highlight areas in which they feel they have improved on the cannon designs. One of these areas is the fact that the sponge part of the cartridge is significantly smaller therefore in theory wasting less ink which ends up trapped in the sponge. ...Last June I bought a Lexmark Z11 for £42. It appeared to be excellent value for money. I set the printer up, and printed various things, text and pictures to see what it was like. The quality was quite good, not as good as some other printers, but it did only cost £40. The printer is quite small, and does not take up much desk space, although you need a bit of space in front of it for the printed sheets to come out. When printing it is quite noisy, and shakes a lot. This does not affect the quality of the printing though. The print speed is also quite fast, usually about 3-4 pages of text a minute in my experience. One thing that I dion't like about the printer is that it only has one ink cartridge. ...I own an HP Deskjet 950C (Most cartridge distributors websites have compatibility tables to find the right cartridge for your printer) and I've been buying these HP ink cartridges for a few years now. So far I have never had problem with them. I think I do an average amount of printing; A few photos, documents, maps for driving, etc. and these cartridges have always performed flawlessly. But then you'd expect them to wouldn't you? They are made by a reputable manufacturer and are specifically designed for use in my printer. They come well packaged, vacuum sealed in plastic to prevent the ink drying out, and securly contained inside sturdy cardboard cases.
