A good calculator. But hard to get the hang of
Review of Casio FX 9750 G+ by
DaC_87
Advantages: Lots of exciting mathsy things to do, cuts the work for your brain
Disadvantages: Quite hard to grasp - esp complicated things
...I was loaned the fx-9750G by my school whilst doing my A-Level maths course. It seemed most unfair, as only those doing double maths were allowed one of these beauties. However, I soon realised the reason for this. It takes a super-brain of Further-Maths-A-Level proportions to actually figure out how to work the thing.
For starters, there seemed to be about three or four buttons explaining what seemed to be, on a linguistic synonymic level, 'BACK', but all carried out subtly different functions. To start with I just often hit the off button then started again from scratch. Thank goodness for it's memory!
However, with time, I have slowly become acquainted with this 80s-styled beast, and I am the first to admit that the fx-9750G was playing hard-to-get at first ; it's now well worth getting to know it for the rewards.
Short of writing...

The casio calc
Review of Casio FX 9750 G+ by
bigstu299
Advantages: Very good quality graphic calculator
Disadvantages: Speed of 'graph' calculations and lots needed to learn to use it
...The Casio fx-9750G is the calculator I now use at college. It seems to be the standard calculator to use now at AS and A level, as I know other sixth forms other than my college who now solely sell these to their students.
The look and layout : -
The Casio fx-9750G is a quite chunky calculator with dimesnsion of 178mm x 89mm x 21mm, as one might expect of a graphic calculator, but it is not unnattractive to the eye. It comes in an assortment of colours, mine being green, but all (that I know of) have a white cover and front surface. The calculator has some attractive, if pointless, curves in its body, but to be honest, when choosing a calculator I don't think look should have a great deal of influence. The layout of the calculator is very good. The screen, dimensions 36mm x 62mm, give ample room to carry out calculations...

A student's view
Review of Casio FX 9750 G+ by
jessjessjess
Advantages: so many funtions, makes calculations a lot easier, draw graphs, big screen, large memory
Disadvantages: battery powered, bulky, long instruction manual
...I was required to get a graphical calculator for A-level maths and the casio fx-9750G plus was the one sold through the college.
This has been unbelievably useful as with the many functions, it helps with things that would normally take a long time to do by hand.
It is a white colour with a green back and sides. The lid is easily taken off and can be put on the back whilst the calculator is in use and the large screen is incredibly useful when looking at graphs.
It came packaged in quite a large box ( 20cm x 14cm) and althouh the calculator is quite bulky, most of the box contains the instruction booklet. It is 480 pages long with ALL of it being in english. This meant it was a bit daunting to look at so I only really used it to work out how to put the batteries in.
Pressing on will take you to the main menu which has 15 options...

VERY USEFUL!
Review of Casio FX 83 ES by
JM1234
Advantages: QUICK AND USEFUL FOR STUDENTS>
Disadvantages: CAN BE QUITE HARD TO HANDLE FOR INEXPERIENCED
...This has done me well for a couple of years now. Has been very useful and touch wood the battery has lasted. Hopefully it will last longer but I have had another Casio calculator and that has served me well too. Not the smallest of calculators but are very mathematical and are brilliant for working out the difficult equasions and sums and are useful for key stage 3 exams, GCSE's, A level's etc. I will not be changing my calculator unless the battery runs out. From my opinion, Casio are very reliable and so is this calculator. It looks good and just has a good feel about it. Once you get used to it, it can be very handy and easy to use. Also value for money. Thumbs up from me!...

Casio Calculator
Review of Casio FX 85 ES by
matty168
Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered
Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just be ain...

The ultimate tool in mathematical calculation!
Review of Casio FX 83 ES by
m_lucas11
Advantages: Easy to use, large screen, large buttons
Disadvantages: not solar powered
...The Casio FX 83 ES is a definite must have for all those taking GCSEs or A levels. Although the Casio FX 83 ES is a little more expensive then most other calculators on sale, the Casio FX 83 ES is capable of everything from the standard addition and subtraction to more complex things like trigonometry and algebra. The case is very slim so the calculator does not take up a lot of space in bags or pockets while at the same time being very durable and able to withstand damage. The Casio FX 83 ES features a natural display that is capable of holding much more data then more normal calculators, as the screen is side scrolling to allow extra input of data. All the buttons are well labelled using colour-coded text showing whether they relate to the shift or alpha buttons. These markings are hard to scratch off so you will always know what...

Why go digital
Review of Casio QV-3000EX/Ir Digital Camera by
julianw
Advantages: High qaulity picutes, easy to use
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, slow shutter speed
...Having tried and tested several digital cameras at work I decided that it was about time I purchased my own. I had used an Olympus, Samsung and an older Casio model before, and out of these the Casio was by far the best. After reading some of the opinions on Ciao I decided that the Casio QV3000 EX was the one to buy, and I have not been disappointed!
The camera does not look anything special but is absolutely packed with features. The camera and software are user friendly which is important if you want the whole family to use it.
There are a couple of things that are slightly annoying but are easily overcome. The standard memory card supplied does not hold many high quality photo’s, however the quality is good even in low quality mode, but why have 3.3 megapixels if you can’t use them? So when purchasing the camera...

CASIO QV-70 DIGITAL CAMERA - Easy, Inexpensive, & Excellent Photos
Review of Casio QV-70 Digital Camera by
emlin
Advantages: Great compact digital camera & inexpensive
Disadvantages: It uses batteries quickly
...I bought my CASIO QV-70 a little over a year ago and I have used it more that I ever thought possible. I sell books on Ebay and I use it to take photos of all my merchandise. The camera cost only $99.95 US and it has proved itself a true bargain. ~~~~~
The CASIO QV-70 is very compact and easy to handle. There are not many buttons: this is an older model yet still available in stores and over the Internet. The buttons are easy to understand and the manual that came with the camera is very instructive. ~~~~~
On the back of my camera is an LCD screen which I may opt to turn on or off while photographing. Keeping it off saves battery life and extends my use. It does use a lot of batteries but don't let that keep you from buying it. You may also purchase an adaptor for about $39.95 US and an adaptor is great for home use...

New oldfahsioned organiser
Review of Casio Digital Diary SF7100SY by
hughro
Advantages: Big Screen, big memory
Disadvantages: Some features don't work properly
...I have been using an old Casio organiser for years and decided to upgrade. I thought a new Casio would be in order to save time in transferring some 1000 addresses and other entries.
The SF7100 has vastly more memory than my old one, and has a feature that ought to permit me to upload it to my PC where I can edit entries and memos, etc. Unfortunately the CD it with didn't work, so I have mailed it back to Casio.
The commands and keyboard are all clear and easy to work. The screen is wonderfully large compared to my previous model.
But... the password command that is supposed to operate on only the bit of memory you want it to persists in interfering with every logon for the whole device. I finally disabled it and am waiting for Casio technical advice. Also the search command doesn't work as well as the old one did. I need to do...

Good to start
Review of Casio CTK810 Keyboard by
Stanislav69
Advantages: Casio chord function, metronome, 100 songs, 120 rythmes, over 500 sounds, lessons
Disadvantages: small range of keys, annoying lady in speak mode
...Almost all the products I get are given to me as presents and this one was aswell. Not the most expensive key board ever, but then again I don't exactly need a whole load of synthesisers do I? No, I just needed a piano that I could play at home, and this has certainly done its job!
This casio keyboard is the perfect keyboard if you want to use it just as a piano, but however, if you are a starting keyboard player, I recomend that you get this keyboard since there are synthesiszing options available. Also this keyboard has over 500 different sounds to choose from with an additional 120 rythmes and included in the price is a Casio song book which has 100 songs in it, from easy one handed songs such as happy birthday, to extremely quite hard songs, like canon pachalbel.
The lesson feature is also very helpful as it has three steps where...
