The Beautiful Leopard Gecko
Review of Leopard Geckos by
daylehall
Advantages: fairly easy to keep, facinating to watch, easy to handle
Disadvantages: nocturnal so might not see them too much
...Just read back through my Leopard Gecko review (one of my 1st reviews) and realised how rubbish it was so thought I would re-write it.
I have kept Leopard Geckos for 3 years. Here I will explain a little about them!
Basic Set Up Needed
Leopard geckos are fairly easy to keep. Before you bring your new lizard home you will need to buy the following: (more info on the following later in review)
Vivarium
This is the tank you are going to keep them in. Personally, I think the bigger the better. The minimum size needed is 24 x 12 x 12 inches to house 1 gecko. Obviously you will need bigger vivs if you are intending on keeping more than one.
Calcium Powder and Vitamin D3
Leopard geckos need extra calcium and vitamins as part of their diet, this will be used to dust their food.
Water bowl
Your gecko will need fresh...

OS X Leopard Review
Review of Mac OS X Leopard by
itmandan
Advantages: 64 Bit, New improved programs, Spaces, Time Machine, Stacks, Coverflow.
Disadvantages: New 3d Dock can be annoying
...OS X 10.5 Leopard is fast, stable and has a set of new features.
Time Machine to back up and restore you files, Spaces to organize your desktop and keep you more organized, Quick Look to preview and browse your files without even opening a program, Stacks to keep you desktop clean and free from large amounts of files and to organize downloads, Cover Flow for a visually stunning way to browse you Pictures applications and other files. Parental controls include Bedtime and time limits. Many kids would sit at the computer for days if you let them. Fortunately, Leopard makes it easier to set the rules. Just enter bedtime and time limits for using the Mac, specifying different times for weekdays and weekends if you wish. Parental controls can also log your kids' activities to help you keep them from communicating with people they shouldn...

Leopard Geckos
Review of Leopard Geckos by
wholovestherain
Advantages: Relatively cheap for a reptile, good for children, small tank
Disadvantages: Must be live fed, not as sociable as some reptiles, nocturnal
...Leopard geckos in many ways make an ideal first pet, especially for those who have never kept a reptile before or for children. They are a very calm, docile animal, and unlike a hamster they do not bite or defecate when handled. When young they are more skittish and nervous about handling, but with regular careful handling settle down, just be careful not to grab from above (they may mistake you for a predator), or at the tail otherwise it will drop off, and though it'll grow back will never look quite so pretty.
Another advantage of leopard geckos over other reptiles is their small size and lower temperature requirements. Although leos need a basking temperature of around 26C, this is lower than reptiles such as the bearded dragon, and more easily maintained in a glass tank (like a fish tank) with just a heat mat and maybe a heat...

My Mate Murph
Review of Leopard Geckos by
martint1983
Advantages: The are easy to look after and a liitle different to most pets
Disadvantages: None
...I first came across leopard geckos when I met a guy at uni who had about five of them and fell in love with then straight away and when he decided to get rid of one of his geckos as he wanted to buy a new species I was knocking on his door asking if I could buy it and fortunately for me he said yes.
I have had my gecko for nearly four years now and I have to say I love him to bits and he is really easy to look after and great fun to have around.
Now most people don’t really know much about these cute little critters however in my opinion they are one of the easiest pets to keep as they are very low maintenance and although they are quite pricey to buy, once you have everything you need they are unbelievably cheap to look after.
What is a leopard gecko????
Geckos are a kind of lizard and therefore are cold blooded animals...

5 Star Paradise
Review of Leopard Beach Hotel, Ukunda by
bluetedgirl
Advantages: Excellent facilities, beautiful setting, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Variety of food, expenive at times
...IIn November 2006 myself and my now husband spent 8 days at the Leopard Beach Hotel. We had gone there to get married, and we spend our stay (before moving onto safari) in the Honeymoon Suite. The hotel is located on Diani Beach, pristine sandy beach and gorgeous sunshine.
The thing that hits you first when you arrive at the hotel is the easy, attentive and friendly service. You are greeted at reception by a tall gentleman in a white robe and leopard print sash, he tells you not to worry about your baggage, he gives you a wet cool towel to refresh yourself with, offers you a seat (when I say seat, its a lovely pillow fest comfy thing!) and gives you a non alcoholic fruit cocktail - with chunks of fruit in it!
The front of the building is beautiful, carved wooden animals large and small are dotted around...

My beautiful orange friend!
Review of Leopard Geckos by
grapesoda
Advantages: Easy to look after, get attached to them, beautiful.
Disadvantages: None
...Leopard Geckos
Me and my partner own two geckos. They are relatively new, just under a year old but we have quickly become attached to our "babies" as we call them and wanted to share the beautiful pictures and experiences of our geckos with all of you.
What do leopard geckos look like?
We actually have one leopard gecko and the other is an albino! Both of our geckos are still not adults so they have not reached full size yet but the leopard geckos are really beautiful usually orange/yellow with spots on their tail and light grey/purple colors on their tail also. Our albino is a pinkish colour and is a bit smaller than the leopard gecko. See above at the photos for the geckos.
How big can a gecko get?
A gecko can reach an adult length of 7 - 10 inches long! Not huge but still a nice size! Our tank isn't huge and we...

Domestic Leopard
Review of Bengal by
Hmatt
Advantages: Beautiful leopard-like coat & energetic, friendly nature.
Disadvantages: Can be danger to itself & expensive.
...If you've always wanted a leopard, but are worried about what the neighbours might think of a decent sized buffalo carcass scattered across your front lawn every morning, and a 10 foot long, half tonne nocturnal predator sniffing around their azaleas come night fall, the Bengal cat might be just what you're looking for.
Given the fact it's desperately illegal and somewhat dangerous to own a real leopard (even a small one), the Bengal cat is probably your only chance to own anything approaching these regal, feline predators. A quick browse of DEFRA's (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) Dangerous Wild Animals Act of 1976 will show that the powers that be have deemed just about every large predator you could care to name inappropriate for home ownership. However, it does state that "the domestic cat is excepted" from...

Can this leopard change its spots
Review of Everything that starts with L ... by
freespirit1402
Advantages: Very pretty and interesting pets to keep
Disadvantages: Feeding and maintenance is hard work
...Despite being a reptile lover and having kept a python in the past Leopard Gecko's were not something I had ever considered keeping as a pet until a year or two ago when my mum bought one home in a tank which now sits proudly in her sittingroom. However, I quickly warmed to them and their obvious charms.
The Leopard Gecko is part of the lizard family in the sub family: Gekkonidae (Geckos) and their latin name is EUBLEPHARIS MACULARIUS (yoo-blay-fair-iss mac-yoo-lair-ee-us)which roughly translated means spotted eyelid gecko - although from what I can see they don't have spotted eyelids at all lol. They are pretty little lizards although they are very unlike most geckos.
The main difference is that they have not got the conventional flat toe pads which act like the suckers on the ends of those toys that stick to car windows...

A tail of spots, yellows & lizards....
Review of Leopard Geckos by
la_chique
Advantages: Easy to keep
Disadvantages: Can be fragile if you have young children
...A leopard gecko or Eublepharis Macularius as is their latin name, can make a great pet, as it needs little space, has minimal feed requiredents, comes in the most velvety looking colours, and is robust enough, even to withstand the most absent minded keepers (like me - more later...). When they are first born, they can be very jumpy and you must keep a keen eye on them, however as they get older, they usually become much more tame, and they will even take food from your hand if you handle them correctly from the first instance.
A fully - grown leopard gecko is around 7 to 10 inches and therefore, even children can handle them. You must take care when handling them however because if you pick them up or grab them by their tail it can fall off and it takes a while for it to then grow back. This is a defense mechanism so they cannot...
