...I have been an extremely satisfied motor insurance customer of Churchill's for a number of years. I first used Churchill after they gave a highly competitive quote on my then new (used) car. It was the first time I wanted fully comprehensive insurance and was dreading the cost, however Churchill under cut other companies by over £150. After my second year with them decided it wasn't worth bothering to shop around as Churchill cannot be beaten for my needs. Unfortunately, in 1999 I had the misfortune of a minor accident, which was my fault. Churchill were fantastic. My car was taken in and repaired within a week and a courtesy car provided. The service was second to none and the advisors were great. I did feel embarrassed about the accident but my claim was handled with very professionally. ...I selected Churchill as the cheapest insurance I could find. When I made a claim I found it was settled quickly and fully - no haggling over price needed as they quoted a reasonable price. A minor delay by Churchill in getting a document to me resulted in a prompt and very welcome good will payment. Subsequent reinsurance has continued to be at a very keen price - the cheapest I can find. Churcxhill do send mailshots for other products - mainly insurance. I don't object to this, but I suppose some people might not like it. Cheap, good and easy to deal with.... Read review

...Churchill insurance orginally offered me the best policy for the best price at the time. You only really find out if you have made the right choice in insurance when you actually need to claim from them. Over the last couple of years I have had to make two claims on my insurance. Both claims were handled quickly and efficiently, with no fuss. My car was picked up from outside my house and replaced with 106 for the duration of repairs. The repairs I have had checked by an independent mechanic and they are excellent. I have yet to find a fault with Churchill, maybe if the fact that I have been unable to find a 24 hour telephone number for emergencies is there only fault. ...I have used many insurance companies, but never have I been as satisfied as with Churchill. It is not simply that their rates are most competitive, in fact once of the cheapest I was quoted, but it is the extent of the cover and the service you get. This service is second to none. Any querries are delt with promptly by knowledgeable staff, clearly well trained and eager to please. One very important fact which ought to be mentioned is the European cover offered by Churchill. It's free and you don't even have to let them know that you are taking your car on the continent. You are fully insured (i.e. fully comprehensive insurance cover) for no extra cost. With all the other insurance companies I have used in the past, I had to let them know in advance exactly where I was going and for how long, then I had to pay an extra premium... Read review

...I have a 1997 renault clio panache 5 door which I bought brand new, with 2 years free insurance. When this became due for renewal, the existing insurers, RAC sent me a renewal for £680. I was astonished at how high this was, I was a 21 yr old female with 3 yrs no claims bonus, and the car's engine was only a 1.2, hardly a GTI ! I phoned loads of big name insurance companies, and the cheapest I found was Norwich Union, who quoted £400, until I tried an online quote from Churchill, I was staggered at the quote and couldn't believe it was true. £212 fully comprehensive ! With a high level of cover and excellent customer service, I have recommended Churchill to everyone I know ever since.... Read review

...I have recently taken out a policy with churchill insurance and i have to give credit to churchill as they were able to provide me with the lowest quote out of all the insurance companies. i have tried over 50 companies in order to get my quote down to £430.95 with 4 years ncb. I was quite suprised that my quotes were coming out so high with 4 years ncd but i am under 25 and do own a 2001 registered car. i did try phoning churchill first of all and the gave me a quote in the region of £490. I then got a quote from their website and their quote came down by £60. I do feel a little disappointed that they could not quote me the lowest price on my first call, however this is a problem i have noticed with all insurance companies. ...and we received a Proton as a courtesy car. Our Corsa was delivered back to us two days later. Cost to us? Nothing. The claim form that Churchill sent through had as much detail filled in as possible just leaving us the responsibility of sketching the positions of the vehicles and signing it. It's good to know that should an accident happen then your insurance company will do all it can to smooth things over. If our car had been heavily damaged then Churchill would have arranged for a replacement vehicle as soom as possible. One other thing worth mentioning about car insurance is that if you don't have an insurance policy, in your name, for two years or more then you automatically lose all discounts you have accrued. ...Since I wrote this OP I have had to try to claim on my house insurance with major problems, read the Chirchills house insurance OP I came to be with churchill by accident the company I was insured with was bought out by Churchills. You only find out if your insurance is any good the day you need to claim & the two times I have needed them they were fantastic. The first time I was driving home when a car swerved around a parked car & hit the side of my car & then drove off. I chased him and got his details etc the police said they could not do anything because I had stopped him within a mile of the accident. Anyway I phone churchills & within 6 hours they had someone come around to asses the damage & take it for repair. But the other driver was saying that it was my fault. ...My dear wife has been with Churchill Insurance for her motor insurance for 4 years now. Initially when you choose an insurance company you do so on one premise – the quote. It is an understandable thing to do but I hope that Ciao will be able to build a comprehensive database which will help customers choose their insurance provider with more information with which to make their choice. Firstly that all-important quote. Like many people I’m sure we have many unprompted cards and letters delivered to us from insurance companies promising to make savings of 20% or that we will save £100 on our insurance if we choose them. I always ring around for a number of quotes but in each of the last 4 years Churchill have given the best quote. Now of course insurance companies do differ and some have specific areas of the insurance market... Read review
