HP also provide various means of configuring your server with the operating system you can use either the enclosed Smart Start CD or if you have a lot of servers to deploy there is a scripting tool kit, and for the very large enterprise there is the Rapid Deployment Kit based on Altiris Deployment Server, unfortunately this last option does require the purchase of a licence but it is well worth it if you have lots of servers. Bundled with every server is a copy of HP Insight manager which is a web based console that uses SNMP traps from the server it can manage you whole server and desktop estate, it is basic monitoring but for a small company is ideal. Advantages: Good value for money

...in full colour on photographic paper and was flabbergasted by the results. Lately I have had to refill and I chose to do this by injecting the ink with an HP Refill Colour Kit. I have to admit that i did do a small mess (i somehow managed to spill blue ink on the outside of the cartridge!!!) but all in all everything turned out smoothly. A downside of the printer is that it does not have a cancel printing button, however this is not really essential as the task can be done through the computer. Anodther disadvantage of the printer is that it can be a little noisy and really literally 'rocks' the (sturdy) table on which I put it. However i am ready to expose myself to a little noise if that means i can save a few quid. The Installation process was preety straightforward. I plugged it in through the USB and it worked. ...and a quick search on my PC, bingo www.fixyourownprinter.com an American based website all about fixing your own printer no less; full of useful information about yes you guessed it fixing your own printer. There is even a forum thread dedicated to repairing the HP LaserJet 5L. This website does sell various printer-fixing kits but after a read of a few solutions to repairs problem pages I got mine up and running like new so didn’t need them and couldn't comment on their service. A lot of people may not have the time or the inclination to do this but it does prove there is a lot of support for this machine, the main Hewlett Packard website at http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html still supports the HP LaserJet 5L and you can download drivers, order manuals and get compatibility information as well as a F.A.Q.S. page amongst other... ...When I first started to use the 8200 I was not sure about it as it would not have been my first choice. I say this as this CD-Writer is not the fastest on the market or in the HP Range. However it is used at work so I can't complain. Having used the CD-Writer I must say I am quite impressed with it. Although the speed is not what I would like, it is only 4x write and re-write, it is a very reliable peice of kit. Other CD-Writers that I have used have chewed up CD's and given errors when writing, so making the CD useless. The HP 8200 as with other HP CD-Writers comes in two forms, an internal (You can tell by having an i after the number, e.g. 8200i) and an external (Similar to internal but e on the end of a number, e.g. 8200e). ...We have 12 of these machines, all with dual 2.8Ghz Xeons. The thing I like most about them is that almost everything is hot-plug. From the drives, to the fans, power supplies to the pci cards. Opening the top cover leads to an incredibly well laid out system. PCI cards can be installed and de-installed (assuming the OS supports it) while the system is up and running. I'd highly recommend you invest in the redundant fan option kit. If you're installing another processor then you really need to have this. On a downside, the only thing that springs to mind is there is no front USB port available. With floppy discs disapppearing these days, it would have been nice.
