...Everyone loves a good mystery and unfortunately the rumours are often far more juicy than the stories behind them. But in the case of conspiracy theories that rumour might just be as juicy as the truth governments and other individuals have been keen to hide from me and you. Not being religeous at all i found myself at a young age drawn to find out how things worked, and being a curious fellow i fell in love with unsolved mysteries some of which are labeled as conspiracy theories. Here are my top 4 and why they just might be true. ...One of the most popular conspiracy theory of recent years is the ‘Did we really land on the Moon?’ theory, ‘off course we did!’ is the answer but it is fun to speculate how such a massive conspiracy could be carried off. In 1978 ‘Capricorn One’ did just this; the only difference is that the conspiracy was about a manned landing on Mars instead of the Moon. THE PLOT Sometime in the near future (since the film was made in 1978 this would now be the near past) a manned mission to Mars is planned. Funding for such missions and space exploration in general is becoming more difficult to raise so the Capricorn One mission is all the more important in that if it succeeds the Senate will be more likely to continue funding a manned space programme. These two however, are what I consider the most interesting. ** Kurt Cobain's "Suicide" ** Kurt Cobain, frontman of legendary band 'Nirvana', left a drug rehab centre in California on April 1st 1994. He was found dead just seven days later. Kurt's death was immediately concluded as "Sucide". However the suspicious circumstances surrounding Cobain's death caused people to question if he really had taken his own life. The conclusion they came to was Murder. The events surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain I have to agree are "filled with lies, contradictions in logic, and countless inconsistencies". ...Conspiracy Theories are rumours, more often than not based on at least a grain of truth. As with every issue, if you want to uncover a conspiracy theory, you need to do your homework, ie. find that one grain of truth that might be there, somewhere in that theory.  Some years ago, I heard of somebody who knew someone who had a child who was damaged, allegedly by a vaccination. As my own daughter had just received a vaccination to which she reacted with a fever, I felt somewhat uneasy, so decided to find out for myself whether it was possible that there could be damage caused by vaccines. I could not really imagine that there would be more than, say, one case of severe side effects in a few million.
