...First of all this channel is on Sky digital and it’s a really good free channel with a variety of sport shown, you could there is no one sport they show more, hence it’s not specialised. They show skiing, rally driving, tennis, football, running and extreme sports. Some of the sports they show are not the sports you could watch on the mainstream channels. This channel is really if you like an alternative, if you like skiing then why not watch the excellent coverage here. I think it’s nice to give the viewer choice of different sports as not everyone may not like the main sports for instance I like cycling and they often show major events live which is really helpful. ...The Tour do France is one of the world's most challenging sport events. Three weeks of five hour cycling days, covering well over 2000 miles. This event is much neglected by television, which makes Eurosport's coverage very welcome. Since it is the only coverage available, it could let standards drop, but it never does. The commentary is entertaining, especially the superb David Duffield. Unfortunately there are frequent advertisement breaks, but for such comprehensive coverage they are bearable. ...coverage of the Tour on Channel 4 as some people haven't got Eurosport. ~When Channel 4 started, I'm sure there was a charter stating that they would cover minority sports. Cycling was a minority sport, is it anymore? ~Channel 4 seem to have broke their promises. ~I understand that Channel 4 had a contract to cover the Tour de france until 2004, what has happenend to that contract? ~Cricket has always been covered by other broadcasters, but if the highlights have to be shown again, why not at a later time, why axe Cycling. Advantages: good aerobic exercise that all can partake in
Disadvantages: Roads are simply not made for bikes

..., I had no chance, there was nowhere to go. The jewel in the crown? It was a private road and the cyclist gave a false name and address – to this day I still don’t know what really happened! Cycling is undeniably good for you, giving you a complete aerobic workout, and for the environment, giving it a breather from all those nasty car fumes. Why then does it not promote itself? ...British Eurosport is wonderfully amateur - and I mean that completely. They don't try to impress with flashy gimmicks or computer graphics like Sky Sports, and don't whine about not getting the events like the BBC, they just get on with providing entertaining and comprehensive coverage of every event they cover. Sports like tennis, cycling and athletics are being forgotten by Sky as they race for football and rugby, and Eurosport has snapped them up. Their Euro 2000 coverage was nothing short of spectacular and I am eternally grateful for at least one channel showing live coverage of the Tour de France. A brilliant channel.... Read review

Advantages: Quick cycles, easy controls, good timer.
Disadvantages: Slow door lock release.

...I did not purchase this washing machine as I am currently renting, and the washing machine was already here. I don't have a great deal of experience with different washing machines, but comparing it against the other 2 I've used in my life it seems to function well and I've not yet had any problems with it. Pros: - Timer so you can see how long there is left each time you happen to pass it without having to remember the exact time you started the load. - Standard cycle programmes, but also 'Time 4 You' programmes which I think do the job just as well for clothes which are not actually covered in mud! Advantages: Cult Classic for Cycling Fans
Disadvantages: Not to everyone's taste

...It is not often that you find a movie that in some way centres around a sport that is not one of the most popular mainstream. I first saw American Flyers about 10 years ago and although it may not have the strongest storyline or greatest acting it provides a window into the world of professional cycling accompanied all the way with some fantastic photography of the Rocky Mountains. The story centres around two brothers, Marcus (Kevin Costner) and David (David Marshall Grant) and their determination to compete together for what could be the last time. Marcus suffers from an hereditary weakness that affects the blood vessels in his brain, meaning that he could die at any time. ...This is a free channel, for any sky subscribers, and it has allot of good sports coverage for a free channel. During the pre-season, it showed friendly football matches and luckily they involved the team I support so that was very good viewing. It also shows other sports, which I like, such as tennis matches, although unfortunately they have been limited to what they can show due to other channels winning the rights, but it is better than nothing, as they do bring allot of tournaments that other channels consider not worth broadcasting. It also good on covering cycling, and recently covered the cycling championships that were being held in Manchester and, which I think is really good because if you like Cycling, or any other sport, it is difficult to watch coverage on the television because there isn't any. ...There wasn't a category for Triathlon as such, so hopefully here will do. Triathlon isn't one of the most popular sports in exsitence, but it is becoming more and more popular and is a well established Olympic Sport. Triathlon, as the name suggests, consists of three sports which are swimming, cycling and running. Each racer must compete each discipline whilst trying to be faster than their competitors. The first leg of the triathlon consists of a 1500m swim. Now that might not seem like a long distance when you consider how far people run in races, but I can imagine having to swim that far would be pretty difficult!! The swim normally takes place in a natural river, which adds to the difficulty. Luckily the competitors wear wetsuits so they aren't going to freeze to death!!
