Unfortunately the video is not a high quality production like the videos of Lord of the Dance and Riverdance, but it is still very entertaining and certainly a MUST HAVE/SEE for fans of the show. But nothing can beat the atmosphere in a live show! The troupe is currently on a break, but will start touring the US and Germany again soon. Advantages: Big shows for Brum in 2001

...The Birmingham Hippodrome- the 'Old Lady' of Hurst Street- built in 1899 is currently closed for major refurbishment thanks in no small part to a rather hefty £29.3 million lottery grant. This money will be used to transform the exterior of the theatre into a magnificent glass-fronted structure that will dominate the skyline. This is a joint venture between the Hippodrome, Birmingham Royal Ballet and the DanceXchange and the new three-storied building will feature a massive dance studio, a dedicated dance injury centre and a small studio theatre with a capacity of 200 or so. There will also be an all day cafe to chill out in, several bars and a more open-plan interior with much improved access for disabled patrons. Advantages: The Sublime Can't Get You Out Of My Head

...diva, it was quite clear that the Pop princess was back, unbeatable, better than ever and even more remarkable. Also making great dance music was infact the entire accompanying Fever (2001) album which was crammed with potential hit singles. Though you could argue that the recordings on the Fever (2001) project tend to become rather formulaic at some points, it is consistenly contagious, highly enjoyable and is just bursting out with energy. Many of her vocals are synchronised against the highly synthesised effect to add to that essential club feel. This was much the case with another pair of sizeable hits from the album with the bouncy, even angelic, Love At First Sight and the mesmerising, In Your Eyes which was utterly compelling with its complex, trance-like musical arrangements. Advantages: Clever Plot
Disadvantages: Cuts to different times too much

...the film cuts to the year 2001, we see the same thing. Man has evolved into technological mastery, but he is in stagnation. His machines dance amidst the stars in methodical routine. The colleagues aboard the initial space station speak to each other in polite, sterile "technical" terminology. Man is once more going through his existence in a mechanical depression. Then Dave encounters the monolith again. There is no quick-cut that cuts all but what serves the plot. The explanatory sequences serve the style of film that Kubrick was trying to create. Not narrative adventure in the traditional sense, but a documentary-like examination of the state of man on the verge of his rebirth. 2001 makes a philosophical statement about man's place in the universe, using images where other films use words. ...The Pepsi chart compilation has been realeased just recently, the compilation consists of two discs filled with massive chart toppers in cludin Craig David's no1 hit 7 days and Spillers and groove jet and if this ain't love. The Pepsi chart contains songs that every one will like there's dance music Billie Piper day and night and also another of her hits deep inside theres garage craig davids song 7 days and the lively hit flowers by the sweet female attitude and even a bit of pop for the little ins s club 7 reach thankfully only one of there songs. Also on the album there's Samantha Mumba Gotta tell you Louise and two faced and many more. The Pepsi chart is one for every1 and a must have for most!... Read review

...I recently bought this CD and have to say that it is very good. There is hits from S Club 7 (Never Had a Dream Come True), N'Sync (It's Gonna Be Me) and Backstreet Boys (Shape of My Heart), for those more into pop music, sorry no Westlife. There is also quite a few dance tracks like Fragma (Everytime You Need Me), Darude (Feel The Beat) and Delerium (Silence). Also has bands like Ash (Shining Light), Feeder (Buck Rogers), Coldplay (Troule) and Moby (Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?). Very good album, but what do you expect, Pepsi Chart CDs never fail to produce such good music on 2 CD's!... Read review

...Well in my effort to get fit I decided to get involved with the latest craze of what is known in the states as DDR (Dance, Dance, Revolution) I first came across this when I visited my friend in California back in 2001 but only recently invested in a playstation and solid dance mat to play the games. Dance UK has awide range of tracks to burn some calories with 20 full lenght dance tunes. You can also try your hand at the karoke side, which I have not been brave enough to try!
