No Mere Reflex-ion
Review of Reflex CD - Internet Music Shop by
heideroosjes
Advantages: Very Cheap CDs
Disadvantages: Site Design Fairly Unattractive
...I stumbled upon this gem of a site whilst searching for albums on Amazon. Reflex CD was one of four sites stocking the very album I was searching for, and were offering it at the best price. I was somewhat bemused, in fact, that Amazon would allow other online shops to offer products on its website, especially considering my album cost £6.99 rather than Amazon's price of £11.99, quite a saving!!
The Look
The site isn't exactly the best looking thing in the world, relying on basic graphics and uninviting colours: black, grey and pink. This reduction in the use of graphics does improve site speed quite considerably, leading to a faster and more efficient shopping experience. I originally purchased straight through the link on the Amazon site, thus increasing my confidence in buying the album. Otherwise, however, I might have...

County Reflex - It'll Do I suppose.
Review of County Reflex by
beevorm
Advantages: Nice Pick-Up, Decent Middle, Good Value
Disadvantages: Soft-Wearing, Only Lasted 2 Seasons
...impact resistance to the bat, aligns and compresses the fibres and improves the sweet spot. I would recommend that you knock your bat in for at least 16 hours, spread over 2 weeks, giving a rub down with linseed oil every few days.
I did exactly this with this bat and it served me beautifully for 2 seasons. The colour of the blade also changed with oiling (as you would expect) and in my opinion is a much healthier looking bat for it. With regards to power, as per the brief stats, it is difficult to measure on a cricket bat. It is more about timing and making sure you connect with the ball at the right angle and at the sweetspot. With regards to this, the Reflex is excellent. It retains a high degree of control (But that is more down to the weight being suitable for the wielder) and is comfortable grip and use for extended periods...

My new Shaver! (Philips HQ 6675 Reflex )
Review of Philips HQ 6675 Reflex Action by
bosjos
Advantages: Cheap, strong.
Disadvantages: Hard noise!
...I received the Philips HQ 6675 Reflex for my birthday (last year) !
In the box I found the next items:
- The device itself
- A piece of paper with some advertising about extra products, and about the fact that for optimal shaving results you should replace the shaving heads every 2 years. (type: HQ55 Super Reflex)
- A power cord, unfortunately I didn't receive a device that holds the shaver for me and gives it power. I just began shaving, so I don't need to recharge the battery yet.
- A big piece of paper (2.5 times an A-4) with guarantee and service information.
- Owner's manual. Its a small book with on the first page eight different languages that you can choose. ( English, German, French, Dutch, Spanisch, Italian, Portuguese and Turkisch .)
- A little black brusher with long hairs on it.
Every 2 weeks you have to remove...

Scott Reflex 20 - A good all rounder.
Review of Scott Reflex 20D by
BigWill1981
Advantages: Good frame, Fast climber, Well specced. Good to upgrade over time.
Disadvantages: Tyres wear out quickly, Can't fit big tyres.
...I bought my Reflex 20 about 6 months ago. From the off she was upgraded so I can only give you the low down on what I rode.
Upgrades are tyres, pedals, stem, forks and brakes.
I ride a bit of all terrains. Commuting to work along a 6 mile route that rakes in a bit of road, steep hills and some smooth single track, worth the slight detour, so it gave me a good indication of where the bikes strengths and weaknesses were.
Strengths:
The frame is light but stiff as well. Okay, you'll never get a hardtail riding as smooth as a FS, but she handles fast downhill sections very well and takes all the abuse I have thrown at it in it's stride and climbing is great with the frame putting everything in the right place. I upgraded my forks and brakes so I cannot comment on them but it seems well specced for the price. The wheels are also...

For Eternal Memories!
Review of Canon Digital IXUS 55 by
faisal_shah
Advantages: beautifully small, Image quality, Functionality
Disadvantages: nothing!!!
...with the television. Thus the television becomes the display of the camera. This can be useful.
My experiences:
The smallness of the camera disburses itself fast: It fits it almost any trouser pocket.well my experience has been great so far.i really like the smallness and the beauty of this camera.
Result:
The Canon digitally IXUS 55 is a genuine purchase recommendation. one gets high-quality 5 megapixels camera with 3x optical zoom shot, Photograph function, Software...
The image quality approximates the one mirror reflex camera already quite, only with photographs in the dark one I noticed, that I with a super+small, not mirror reflex camera photographs, since the picture rushes little.
Normally i change my cameras very soon but after using this one i'll prefer to stick with this one....

35mm, APS or Digital
Review of Comparison Of Film & Camera Types by
BNibbles
Advantages: Digital Encourages Creativity Through Risk Taking, after all, you can always erase it!
Disadvantages: Still got a way to go, before it sounds the death knell of celluloid
...on one subject, and it can only make one set of exposure settings per shot. The human eye has a very narrow angle of view, and what we think of as "looking at something" involves scanning it up and down and sideways. Therefore, our “exposure readings” change all the time, something a camera can’t do.
b) Single-Lens Reflex
These cameras also come in 35mm, APS and digital versions. The latter tend to be (very) expensive. At first sight, SLR’s are obviously bigger than the average coat pocket, having a larger body, and to make matters worse, a lens stuck on the front, rather than partly recessed into the camera. This apparent bulk immediately labels them as being definitely for the keen snapper, or for someone who anticipates “growing into” photography. So why bother with one?
Well, as I stated...

Another digital camera
Review of JENOPTIK JENDIGITAL JD 3.3 xz3 by
missmarplejunior
Advantages: see picture at once
Disadvantages: snapshots are hard to manage
...My mother gave us this camera Christmas 2003. Which is great for doing shots of the grandchildren and then mail them to the grandparents (they live in Germany and back then we still lived in the UK). So it keeped them a bit up to date.
But trying to get a snapshot of a 1 year old is not very easy when they are constantly on the run. I had many "empty" pictures because she just ran off!!!
I mainly use it for pictures on my ebay auctions. And for such things it is great. Or other still objects. The picture of me is actually taken with that camera!
General I am not very convinced of digital cameras and still like to use my old fashioned Reflex one. Though one day I would like to invest in a digital Reflex camera.
Jenoptik - a company profile
Jenoptik is a company headquarterd in Jena, a city in the Eastern part of Germany, one...

~~CAMERA in the Digital World~~
Review of Everything that starts with C ... by
digitalenvironmentalist
Advantages: No need to buy rolls of films and photo albums, no more scanning of images
Disadvantages: You need more time to read the manual and familiarise the various features
...shots, fast moving objects, etc.
If you are a hobbyist and taking photos from your compact digital camera is not satisfying, then a 'budget' digital SLR (single lens reflex) or DSLR is now good for you. For further info on what SLR means, I suggest having it search in the web, but it does not really matter here as long as you can understand the main features for such type of camera. You can get this type of camera from £250-550. The DSLR camera is capable of delivering high-quality results, yet can be as simple to use a compact camera. But the big difference is that this camera is more versatile and creative, thus the images taken are not restricted by the camera itself. You can take any type of photo and the camera can offer the ways and means to do it for you. It is recommended to spend more time to read the instruction manual...

Canon S2 Is, 5.0 million pixels Digital camera
Review of Canon PowerShot S2 IS by
blackbeard
Advantages: Easy to use. will take great looking pics for you, whatever your ability
Disadvantages: Bit pricey ,but value for money. smaller controls than standard SLR
...by specific camera sites, which to some may be tiresome reading.
My intention is to explain my findings whilst using this camera which hopefully may give the reader an overall opinion of this cameras ability to take fantastic pictures.
***Okay! The camera! Why did I choose this camera? ****
I have been into photography for some years now, initially using a film SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera. I was looking for a digital camera which had better quality images than my existing point and shoot digital camera.
The images I got from my Fuji Digital camera were of good quality, and I would then edit the images using appropriate software to get the effects I wanted.
It gradually became clear that while a multitude of "after" effects can be achieved, through software, there were some area's that did not quite match up with the "pre...

Getting Started with Digital Photography
Review of Tips on Choosing a Camera by
rowlandw
Advantages: Help on deciding to go digital for newbies, Olympus Camedia C3020 used as example
Disadvantages: No case made for or against other cameras nor traditional (film) photography
...How do I get started in digital photography?
This question dogged me for years because I love photography and I could see the world was going digital. I’m also a bit of a gadget-head, so why didn’t I just rush out and buy a digital camera? I didn’t because,
1) Which camera? The choices were bewildering and paralysed my decision-making.
2) What would I do with the images once they’re in the camera? How do I download them, print them, transmit them, etc?
3) When to jump in and make the buy? Many electronic items’ prices tend to fall and/or capabilities increase with time, so to a certain extent my tendency to procrastination is rewarded.
4) How much to spend? This question relates to question #3 above and combines with the fact that I’m a bit of a Yankee, not as in from the States...
