...Way a DIVAn’t kna like! I’ve been buying this magazine for 3 years now. (well my girlfriend has). I first came across it when I was left in her flat alone for the first time. Now I shouldn’t really admit to this, but I was snooping ‘as you do’, I was in the middle of my snoop when I came across this magazine. Imagine my delight, when on the front cover I saw the most beautiful looking woman my eyes had ever come across. That was it, my hunt for any juicy items in my girlfriends flat had stopped, and there was I engrossed in a magazine. Now this is my magazine of choice, each month I pop into WH Smiths and buy it. 2.25 into the till, and with a funny look from the woman behind the counter I skip-no run out of the shop with a grin on my face. Advantages: A star studded experience
Disadvantages: Patti Labelle's infernal racket

...The VH1 Divas is hailed as one of the biggest musical concerts of the year and is advertised on television, radio and the internet for months before its transmission. Broadcast live in America and a few days later on Sky television here in the UK the event raises money for charities across the US, and this year its good cause was to bring music back to schools, a subject close to the heart of many of the performers appearing in the show. We were lucky enough to win tickets for the musical extravaganza this year and were flown over to Vegas by VH1 for five days with the concert being part of our wonderful few days away. Simply because my perception of this song is that it’s all about how communication between men and women, more often than not lovers, is misunderstood and misconstrued. ...My daughter has recently been going to a summer club and has become more passionate about listening to music as each week has gone on. As a treat, I took her shopping and let her choose a treat for herself. Not surprisingly, we headed to the nearest music store, and left an agonizing 20 minutes later with this CD, ‘Hairbrush Divas 2’. She made me read the track listing on countless CD’s, but this was the one which had her most excited. That was 1 week ago, and I think we have now listened to the CD at least 3 times every single day, so I feel I am more than qualified to review it! The CD has a mix of styles and eras, and even the choosiest listener will find at least one song which they can listen to, so it is ideal if you are having a few people around as most of them will be happy with the choice of music at some point during the night... Advantages: Great to boogie to, some good classics, great value for money.
Disadvantages: One or two out of place songs.

...Overview: I bought the first Hairbrush Divas album for my Stepdad for Christmas - He likes people like Kylie, so he really wanted the album. There were some really good songs on it, but this album does have some of the older and better tracks on. Deciding between the two albums would be a difficult choice, as both of them have an equal amount of brilliant songs, but I think the first album has a slightly bigger 'sing your heart out' factor. Still, this album has some real classics such as Ladies Night, Lost in Music, If I Can't Have You etc, and is the kind of album you would put on whilst getting ready for a night out. It really gets you in the mood for a good ol' boogie, and I can guarantee that you'll be singing into your hairbrush and dancing on the bed before you know it. Just don't blame me if you're late out! Advantages: The fragrance lasts throughout the day
Disadvantages: It's getting harder to find stockists

...Diva has got to be my all time favourite perfume. I often wear other fragrances, but to feel really special I always use Diva. It has a lovely soft, fresh scent, but doesn't wear off after an hour or so like many others. In fact it lasts the entire course of the day but is not overpowering like other ones that last this long. Whenever I wear it, I can guarantee someone will remark on how nice it is and ask what it's called. The only drawback is that as with most cosmetics/toiletries/perfumes that I love, they become unavailable - I seem to have a curse on me....the minute I find something that I love, the manufacturers stop making it! I have noticed that over the last year it is getting more and more difficult to find stockists. I usually spend my overseas holidays trawling the shops looking for that elusive bottle of Diva... Advantages: Great funky beats, Harmony's that have to be heard to be beleived
Disadvantages: Riddle is a touch repetitive. Don't buy this album if unless you don't mind hearing Rachmaninov and Tcheikovsky with a modern twist!

...When the En Vogue album 'Funky Diva's' came out in 1993 I was blown away by the hip-hop beats, exceptional singing and harmony, and attitude of the all-girl R&B group. With such great songs as 'My Lovin' (Never Gonna Get It)' and 'Whatta Man' I think Funky Diva's really is a classic album It had been the first I had heard of the group, even though they had been on the music scene for a few years before then. After 'Funky Diva's', however, one of the band member's (Dawn) left the group and they had a couple of years in silence. Then came the album 'EV3' which I personally very disappointed with. It didn't have the same attitude and style as Funky Diva's and I thought there were very few stand-out tracks on EV3.
