Winnie The Pooh sleeping bag 0-6 months
Review of Mothercare 2.5 tog Sleeping Bags by
Bandi2709
Advantages: snug and comfortable for baby
Disadvantages: can be expensive to buy
...a zip which goes all the way down one side and round the bottom and slightly up the other side - making nappy changes during the night an absolute doddle! The top of the sleeping bag has two straps which go over the shoulders (like dungarees) and two poppers underneath the armpits to keep baby snug and secure. They are very well made.
You can expect to pay around £20-£25 for a Mothercare sleeping bag and they have many designs which suit their many different bedding ranges. They are expensive, but for the sake of a wonderful nights sleep, they are worth every penny!...

The Warmest Sleeping Bag On Earth
Review of Snowy Owl Sleeping Bag by
Barningham2-uk2004
Advantages: Extremely Warm. Considerable Amount Of Down
Disadvantages: I Can't Think Of Any
...for quality by volume. The formula refers to the fill power of each ounce of down by cubic inches per ounce. For 800 fill, the minimum measurement is 800 cubic inches per one ounce of down. When we label our down, we use the symbol “+” to signify that our fill typically supercedes the minimum requirements of fill power").
This is the warmest bag I have ever tried, as well as the thickest. If I had the option of getting any other sleeping bag, then I would have to choose this bag over any other. It's totally amazing, and the hood totally surrounds the head, and forms a tunnel in which to let all your breath into, and out of. A nice thick shoulder baffle keeps the heat inside the bag, and around your body, to keep everything nice and toasty inside.
Take it from me. If there's a better bag in the world, I'd have soon known about it!!!...

Warm and snuggly in my nice sleeping bag
Review of Vango - Ultralite 1100 sleeping bag by
absurd_luck
Advantages: Quality
Disadvantages: Expensive
...This sleeping bag has served me well for a long time. I have had it for a few years now and it isn't even showing signs of wear. Vango has not disappointed.
Although it is relatively expensive you are paying for quality.
I have trekked with this in my pack and it has left plenty of room for all the other essentials, such as tent, clothes, food, etc... This sleeping bag is definately a great buy.
My only problem with it is that it did not keep me warm in the winter, but this was to be expected as it is not advertised to be all that effective in conditions below -10 degrees.
I would recommend this to any serious camper/hiker for the spring/summer months.
It is easy to pack down and compress in the bag given, with compression straps. Ends up in at a very manageable size, although not the smallest you can get. The price...

Good out of car camping sleeping bag
Review of Vango Nitestar 350 Sleeping Bag by
andyyaris
Advantages: Warm and good price
Disadvantages: Bulky and heavy
...I bought this as i needed a warm winter sleeping bag for some out of car camping and it is ideal. It is basically a duvet with a nylon outercoating.
I am a very warm person and can often use the extreame guidence as my comfort zone regarding the temperature. Recently I was camping in the peak distict (middle of Novemeber) the temperature went down to -4c and I was as warm as toast. I have lent it to friends of mine who hs started to get cold at around freezing, which is probably a more realistic value for the bag.
It is very comfortable inside, you cannot feel any seams or the zip, the hood fits nicely over you head without blocking your face and generally has a lot of room inside (im 6'1 and 16 stone). It has a nice soft feel inside and a general feeling of quality
I do a lot of backpacking type camping all over the country...

MY LIFE SAVINGS FOR A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP!
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
inycon2
Advantages: Security, comfort and aid to a bed time routine
Disadvantages: Not necessarily the way to a good nights sleep
...will not need to purchase top sheets and blankets and any risks of overheating or cot death associated with blankets slipping over baby's head are reduced. Your baby will not become cold in the night and should sleep more comfortably in the security of a familiar sleeping bag. The temperature inside the bag can be controlled by adding or removing night clothes and vests according to the temperature in the room and the bag can become somewhat of a security item which helps to induce sleep.
Before you rush out to buy one, thinking this is the answer to all your prayers, please take the time toread on a little further. My daughter, as a newborn and upto the age of 6 months, was a nightmare sleeper, not helped by the fact that she suffered from acid reflux and objected to being put down flat for a sleep.
As the nights closed in and cooled...

Safe, Snug & Sleeping
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
charis18uk
Advantages: Baby Sleeps! You Sleep!
Disadvantages: They don't make them in adult sizes!
...cold
· There is less danger of your little one slipping down under the covers and helps your child maintain the recommended sleeping position of ‘feet to foot’.
· Your child will begin to associate the Grobag with sleep and this can certainly help you settle your baby with more success when sleeping in a strange place or when moving from moses basket to cot to bed
· It makes it much harder for your toddler to attempt climbing out of its cot and is useful if you want to delay the move to a bed.
Now all this is well and good and it all sounds very impressive but what you are most interested in is personal experience. Well here is my own experience of this excellent product.
Firstly I have to say I had never heard of Grobag or baby sleeping bags before my son was born. I only came across Grobag by chance when they were...

A full night's sleep restored
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
Fiona2403
Advantages: Baby doen't wake up in night cold, a full night sleep for all
Disadvantages: none?
...Although “Grobag” is more a word to consider with growing tomatoes than with a cute baby the Grobag is certainly a fantastic invention.
A Grobag is a sleeping bag type thing for babies in place of their sheets and blankets. The sleeping bag is shaped, wider at the bottom and narrower at the top. The top has an opening on each side for arms to go through and an opening for babies’ head with poppers that come over the top of the bag to create what I suppose looks like the baby is wearing a sleeveless t-shirt with a bag attached! This, I imagine makes the sleeping bag safe for little babies from slipping down into the bag and suffocating and also means baby can’t wriggle out of the bag. The bag zips up round the side.
I found this Grobag excellent after my baby started wriggling from under the blankets when he was moved from...

Sleep tight
Review of SlumberSac Sleeping Bags by
zomak24u
Advantages: Helps baby sleep better
Disadvantages: It's like being in a bean bag, when a toddler wakes up it's tricky standing up
...My son hadn't slept throughout the night since we brought him home from the hospital, and that was more than a year ago. I have tried several sleep techniques- establishing a bed time routine by having a bath at night with bedtime wash and applying bedtime lotion, reading a book, winding down e.t.c but he would wake up at least twice during the night. He would often wake up because the room was too cold and he had kicked off the covers. I read a comment from a mother who wrote that sleeping bags could make a baby sleep better. Though I had read about them and seen a few in stores, I wasn't personally familiar with sleeping bags, no I knew had used them as a child nor used them on their children, so it was a novel concept to me. Despite that, I decided to give it a try.
The bag is designed to use a baby's body heat to keep him...

Hot Bags For Cold Trips
Review of Feathered Friends - Snowy Owl Sleeping Bag by
Barningham2
Advantages: Excellent design and quality
Disadvantages: You get too hot
...After visitng the USA earlier thise year, a friend of mine introduced me to a company which sells excellent quality Goose Down sleeping bags and clothing. The comapny's name is Feathered Friends, who specialize in Goose Down gear.
Depending on what purpose you need the sleeping bag for, they will help you choose the right bag for the job.
The Snowy Owl sleeping bag, is the ultimate of sleeping bags, with various options to choose from. For example you can have different cover's, and even a different fill rate. The top of the range Snowy Owl is 800+ Fill, that will kepp you warm down to -60F. It's mummy design is different to other bags, as the hood moulds itslef to your head, and there's also a double zipper, which has the ability to pull the bag closer to your body, to increase the heat.
I think it's the most ideal bag to take...

Secrets of a good nights sleep
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
Monkeymum
Advantages: A goods night sleep for all the family
Disadvantages: none
...failed to see how one of these devices could make a difference. But I was desperate so I went online to www.grobag.com and ordered the funky animals grobag in the 6-18 month size at a cost of £29.99. I was truly amazed when the postman rang the doorbell the very next day to deliver my goods – Now that is what I call service!
If you have not seen one of these before it looks like a big dress, which is enclosed at the bottom (like a sleeping bag) and has a long zip up the front. Basically the idea is that your baby sleeps in the bag doing away with the need for sheets and blankets. They remain at a constant temperature and are unable to kick it off like they can do with blankets. Using a grobag also helps to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS, as babies are unable to cover their faces with their bedding. Each grobag...
