Rover 75 1.8T Connoisseur 4dr LPG dual fuel
Review of Rover 75 1.8T Contemporary SE 4dr by
JamesSherwood
Advantages: Great car at rock bottom price, luxurious very cheap to run- 1992 fuel prices!
Disadvantages: Expensive tyres,
...I have owned a Rover 75 1.8T Conneseur, 2005 (54 plate) since 2006. I bought it for £7000 with 10,000 miles on the clock. (A saving of £16,000 against new with the extras this one has on it. It loads of extras like the 17" alloys, climate control, rear parking sensors, auto dimming mirror, rain sensors etc, trip computer and information computer. It even tells you when the brakes are worn or the screen wash is empty.
I had mine coverted to an LPG fuel car with a toroidal tank in the spare wheel well. I get 34 mpg with it combined but pay about 2/5's the price. Made my money back after 1 year. Car is a great drive, plenty of power. Only problem has been the petrol fuel filter undoing itself, common problem. Really comfy car, I can't see how you can go wrong with one of these at the price. They were overpriced originally by about £3000-4000....

Form Homer to Fry
Review of Channel 4 - Futurama by
KtorCPZ
Advantages: It's cool
Disadvantages: no much episodes till now
...Matt Groening had a new idea one day, he had to do somewhat different, how would life be in 3000 in New York? Or, still better. how would pizza deliverer from year 2000 adapt to 3000 after being criogenized? Thus it is born "Futurama", a delicious and acid vision of what the future grants us, set in a spatial message agency leaded by the great (so much times) nephew of Fry, the mentioned deliverer of pizzas. Groening, once again, shows us his “savoir faire” with a sense of the intelligent, absurd and acid humour, accompanied this time by some purified lines (is much better drawn that "The Simpson") that get adapted perfectly to 2D/3D.
Identifying characters Fry reminds Homer, a little stupid, good boy, and lazy. But the great contribution of the series is Bender, an “oilolic” robot, who does not feel respect...

Oldie but Goodie !
Review of Will Hay - Convict 99 DVD by
Maximus-Qualitus
Advantages: Very Funny.
Disadvantages: None
...Will Hay - Convict 99.
*************************
This film stars Will Hay, Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt.
All 3 together, making this a cracking film.
Introduction:
**************
This is Will Hays third movie as the hopeless Dr Benjamin Twist. He would also use the character in Good Morning Boys and Hey! Hey! USA.
Not to be confused with another character he played called Dr Smart Alec.
Synopsis:
***********
Will plays Benjamin Twist, an awful school teacher who applies for the position of Head teacher at a private school with a salary of £3000 a year!
On the interview day he goes to the wrong room and ends up, unwittingly, being offered the job of warden at a tough prison.
He celebrates by getting drunk and turns up at the prison sozelled and gets mixed in with some arriving prisoners. One prisoner escapes, CONVICT 99...

My name is Drunk. IM BENDER.
Review of Sky One - Futurama by
steveMANUNITED
Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: See op
...Futurama can be described as the most prosperous cartoon, around at the present time. It has great comical sketches, with wacky storylines, and possibly the most unique characters to ever appear on our widely loved television screens.
Futurama is set in the year c.3000. It is based around a guy from the year 2000 in New York in the future, read below for more details.
Here is a detailed description of the leading characters:
Phillip Fry (usually called: Fry) – Is a regular 21st century guy with a ‘slob’ lifestyle and ‘Telly addict’ commitment to life. He was brought to the future (c.3000) by a freezing machine. He is what the programme is based around. He is currently an Intergalactic Pizza delivery guy, like he was in 1999.
Professor Farnsworth – He is Fry’s great, great, great… nephew...

C3 - good value, great drive.
Review of Citroen C3 1.4i Desire 5dr by
stef1
Advantages: Looks great, mod cons as standard, drives well
Disadvantages: Front seats slightly uncomfortable
...I've had my C3 for nearly six weeks and i love it. Its one year old and drives like a dream!!! The C3 Desire comes with CD player, electric windows, immobiliser, two air bags and air con all as standard. Its also got power steering (you may think 'Big Deal!' but i was driving around in an old renault clio with no power steering so this is pure luxury!!!)
I love the digital display but have heard that these can freeze and you have to turn the engine on and off to reset - how true this is i don't know. Mine seems to be fine!
The only bad point about this car is that the front seats are slightly too long in the seat. They could do with being about 1-2 inches shorter so that your legs sit more comfortably. Petrol consumption is average - i do roughly 230 miles per week for about £30.00. The stereo has a good sound with six speakers...

welcome to the world of tomorrow.....
Review of Channel 4 - Futurama by
tim0001
Advantages: very, very funny.
Disadvantages: ???????
...The creators of the Simpsons have done it again. Some may argue that a second, completely different series of cartoons would go down badly. They are wrong! Futurama is abour a guy name Fry, who accidentily freezes himself until the year 3000. He then works for his great great nephew, delivering packages to planets.
Sounds boring doesn't it. It is not. There are other main characters too, each with a strong and entertaining personality. Bender is a lazy robot who spends a lot of the show drinking and smoking. I am actually beginning to think that Bender is better than Homer Simpson, not because he's dumb, buy because he never does anything worth while; he tags along on missions to make comments and smoke. Leela is the captain of the delivery ship, and shes only got one eye. She's not so funny, but without her there would be basis of Fry...

Eating Becomes You
Review of You are what You eat - Gillian McKeith by
Weespud
Advantages: The info has potential to educate
Disadvantages: The Author has dubious methods
...recognised by the US secretary for education. The course will have cost her about £3000 – though there are discounts available if you sign up for a Masters and PhD at the same time!?!?!
When asked about this matter her PR clamed this was an unfortunate error or typo made by office staff. The details were promptly erased from her website.
However in Dr.Gillians book ‘Living Food For Health’ she also lists these qualifications.
In other media material McKeith claims to have been the resident health expert “for many television shows in both the USA and UK, including the Joan Rivers Show in America”. It was later discovered that the Joan Rivers producer, who had worked on the show for many years, had never heard tell of the woman.
And what about her research? Medline is a universal database of academic peer-reviewed research publications...

Hula, hula across the universe
Review of Lilo And Stitch (Animated) by
chachaqueen
Advantages: Fun, warm and enjoyable
Disadvantages: erm... its for children?
...One of the good points to being a parent is that you get to go and see lots of fun children's films, without everyone looking at you funny!! I make full use of this privilege and took my son to see the new release of Lilo and Stitch.
I have always enjoyed Disney films and although they tend to sway from the original story quite a bit, they still make for great entertainment and lovable characters. So I was interested in seeing what they came up with for this one!
The story starts in a council far away where Dr Jumba Jookiba, voiced by David Stiers (The Dead Zone and Mighty Aphrodite) is being questioned about his illegal genetic experiments, in particular Experiment 626, a genetically programmed fighting machine in the form of a little animal. It has a brain faster than a super computer and can lift 3000 times its own body weight...

A beautiful board
Review of DFI LANPARTY UT RDX200 CF-DR - motherboard - ATX - 480X CrossFire by
prosser13
Advantages: Great value in sales, loads of features, good overclocker, DFI, Crossfire
Disadvantages: Can be buggy. my audio doesn't work, hates value components, no SATAII, complex BIOS
...I picked this board up in the sales to replace my ageing Abit AX8 and have been using it for the last 3 months or so.
Features
While its not the most feature packed of boards, it has 8 SATA ports (but no SATAII ports), ATi Crossfire, 2 IDE channels and an amazing BIOS.
BIOS
The BIOS on most DFI boards is extremely complex, and the RDX200CF-DR is no different. It has no less than 26 different settings for the memory, and if just one of these is set wrong then the whole system can be unstable! They are also named with the most uninformative of labels, which makes things even harder. Memory settings need to be set manually for the board to work properly, and it is recommended to set as many settings as possible manually which can be difficult.
Building the PC
My build with this board went surprisingly well. I had read about many...

Review of Love Angel Music Baby - Gwen Stefani by
prawnface
Advantages: great to llisten to
Disadvantages: some disappointing songs
...Gwen stefani has gone solo leaving her old band no doubt behind her. Her new solo album is called' Love .angel .music. baby '(the names of her harajuku girls -the japanese dancers that perform with her)
the album features famous artists such as , eve ,johnny vulture, and andre 3000.
It has 2 bonus tracks 'the real thing'with wendy and lisa flow in it as a jam mix which is produced by nellee hooper
and the second being 'what you waiting for?' elevator mix by greg collins and brian key-mu purely instrumental and rather boring for those fans of gwen stefani lets the album down.
The inside sleeve of the album contains all the lyrics for each song and some production information
1. What you waiting for?- produced by Nellee hooper, recorded by greg collins and ian rossiter , back ground vocals mimi (audia) parker.
