Joey Dunlop RIP
Review of Riders - Joey Dunlop by
gshughes
Advantages: all
Disadvantages: none
...I'm sure all fans of road racing would like to join me in paying tribute to Joey Dunlop. He recently extended his record to 26 wins at the Isle of Man TT before he was tragically killed in a 125 cc Race in Tallin the capital of Estonia. It is not difficult to draw parallels with another legend, the Scottish F1 champion Jim Clark, both men were generous, modest men who achieved success at the highest level, yet were killed in small events they were doing for fun. Joey and Jim rest in peace....

Big Mean and Fun
Review of Dunlop Jim Cry Baby by
widgetwhite
Advantages: Classic Sound, Built to last forever
Disadvantages: Expensive, Limited use
...Ok, this is probably the best category i could find for this, but its for an original Dunlop CryBaby wah pedal manfactured by JEN in the '70s (i think)
Overall, CryBaby Wahs havent changed much since the originals back in the 60s ie VOX,Dunlop,etc as its one of the simplest, but most effective pedals used sparingly. My poor old pedal has been knocking around in poor condition for what feels like a hundred years since i first started playing guitars 15 years ago! I purchased it from a friend for about 5 quid and a bag of jelly babies, and boy am i glad as new ones now cost around 100 GBP.
Im writing this after comparing in a shop between mine and a recent model, just to see if there really was much difference.Surprise? almost none, it felt. The Build quality is still rocksolid, diecast box , big sweepable pedal and a totally...

♥ Mary Poppins eat your heart out! ♥
Review of What's in my bag? by
lora44
Advantages: An excuse for a clean out!
Disadvantages: Lots of junk to sift through!
...Normally I hate people snooping through my bag, and I feel a bit funny going into other people's bags - even if they give me permission or ask me to get things out for them, I prefer not to. I'm not really sure why, but I've just always been that way. For this reason I've really enjoyed reading other people's reviews on this and having a good old e-snoop. In return, I'm inviting you to do the same with my bag.
Ok so first things first - a little description of my bag. Well, as my main school bag (which is now redundant -yay!) is a Morgan shoulder bag, which I love. But the contents of that are pretty boring so I won't go into that. My current handbag is a Fiorelli bag - at the moment I'm using Lulu, though I have just purchased a new one, Cola Cubes :D
** Fiorelli **
Fiorelli started life in Australia, created in the 1980s...

No Danger To Wet Paper Bags!
Review of Nissan Almera 1.5 16v SE 5dr by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Reliability. Low insurance costs. Well equipped. Low price. Overall a good value family car.
Disadvantages: Very poor performance. Poor fuel economy.
...of power spawned the title of this review. Wet paper bags are indeed safe from the Nissan Almera, as they quite literally couldn't pull their way out of one! (At least the 2002 1.5-litre SE model that we purchased couldn't.)
~ ~ So what possessed me to purchase a Nissan Almera in the first place?
All of the above, plus the fact that the Almera has consistently been close to the top of the most popular car statistics here in the Republic of Ireland ever since it first hit the market (in it's old model style) back around 1995. (Even though it never caught on in the same way over in the UK) I reckoned that all these buyers couldn't possibly be wrong. I'd also driven a 1.8-litre Almera for a couple of days back around 2003 in order to review it for a newspaper here in Ireland, and had been impressed with all aspects of the car. The Almera has...

My bag my bag my lovely lady bag..
Review of What's in my bag? by
KELLYLOUJ
Advantages: Find out what is in my bag
Disadvantages: May not like what you find out!
...Well I saw this and thought hmmmm interesting and forced me to take a look in my bad after reading an article the night before about Identity theft and how a hangbag is an ideal source.
My handbag:-
Well I am a bit of a casual girl so I have a simple baby pink FCUK handbag which is made up of quilted material with a beige strap and I love it, infact when it got stolen in Alton Towers I was distraught but managed to find an identical one at half the price but still miss my keys etc
In my bag there is:-
Nurofen
I need these on a regular basis whether it be work, a hangover or just plain old nagging they seem to do the trick
Pill
My contraception, I have to put this in my bag as I can't be relied on to take it at home so here I naturally come across it whether I remember it or not
Purse
My purse, it never contains any...

A Baby Bag with high expectations
Review of Baby Bjorn Changing Bag by
mrsmopples
Advantages: It is waterproof, hard wearing, durable and stylish
Disadvantages: Very expensive and not that big for all the little extra's
...*****Baby Bjorn Changing Bag*****
For anyone due to have a baby, a changing bag is a necessity for the next year or more of your child’s life. I have been blessed with three wonderful children and also had the honour of owning three different types of baby changing bags.
My first child had a bag that matched with his pram from Mamas and Papa’s, but the bag lining split so was sent to the recycling centre. My second child’s bag came from Argos, nothing special just cheap and cheerful but it lasted a good year before that too made the recycling centre. My daughter’s bag was a gift and it was the Baby Bjorn changing bag which I still have today and after 4 years, it looks pretty good.
The BB is the Rolls Royce of nappy bags as it costs a hefty £50 plus. Is it worth the money or a waste of credit card funds? Read...

It's in the bag - or not if you have a DX6490
Review of Kodak Shoulder bag Camera by
CareBear
Advantages: Well built with useful pockets
Disadvantages: Doesn't fit all of the cameras it says it does!
...about cases and camera bags...
After some fairly extensive searching the said junk mail was found, only, rather suprisingly, it turned out not to be junk. Rather, a neat offer was staring me in the face - purchase a listed camera and a Kodak dock or printer dock between December and March and send away for a free camera bag! Magic. For once I met the criteria and so, forms duly completed I sat back and waited.
The bag duly arrived in the post, securely packaged in a cardboard box that was much larger than I had expected. Upon opening I was pleasantly suprised at what I found.
~~~~~~
The bag itself is black and constructed of nylon covered vinyl. It's first appearance suggested a good quality, sturdy product with ample padding to protect your equipment.
The main part of the bag measures 27 cm x 17 x 14 and is accessed via...
guess what's in my bag?
Review of What's in my bag? by
emi_angel
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: none
...What's in my bag???
I bought my bag a few months ago as my old bag was falling to pieces, even though it was hard to part from it I am glad I bought this bag. I'm not a girly girl so I don't really like handbags but I like this bag as its perfect for my needs.
It's an over the shoulder bag. The colour is a lovely chocolate brown with swirls and butterflies around in a funky pattern. It is great as it has loads of space so its perfect for a student like me. It has many pockets in different pockets from small pockets for a purse but also larger ones for books.
It has a nice fabric, which does not rub on the shoulder. I use it all the time and I only have this bag, as I don't want to waste money on buying another bag that I will never use.
I bought the bag at Shoe Express in my town for only £12, which I think, is really good...
Bags Ready, Freeze Dried Ready, FIGHT
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
Squidget
Advantages: Freeze Dried is quicker but bags are better flavour overall
Disadvantages: Freeze dried are a lot more expensive than bags
...It has been a while since I posted any experiments that I know you all do dearly love, however, I have still been doing them, as it was always something I was accustomed to in my life! Save a penny save a pound and all that!!
Well here is one that I actually carried out a while ago and wrote about but there never was a category here at Ciao for it! I am glad to say that now there is!
I am a born natural lover of tea and take it very seriously although I like my ordinary tea for normal every day use, except my Earl Grey at breakfast time of course.
So when I thought of the next experiment it had to be a good one when it came to tea.
I had recently bought a jar of Tetley Freeze Dried tea, as I thought it would come in handy for the times I had no tea bags left. I thought that this would be a good experiment to test something...
"we all agree, Tetley make tea bags, make tea!"
Review of Tetley Tea Bags by
lipsalve
Advantages: Refreshing and mellow.
Disadvantages: Occasional floaty bits from bag, but this may be my tea making mess-ups!
...I don't run out of tea bags very often (except when my tea mad parents are visiting!), but today I found just a few left at the bottom of the caddy, so I put 'tea bags' on my shopping list, and looked for good old 'Tetley's' in the shop.
Today's purchase was a bag of 160 teabags from Safeway supermarket at the price of £2.67. Oh, and it also had a free decaffeinated tea bag sample attached to the top!
************* Why the Tetley brand is the brand for me *******
I do not buy any other tea brand now, because I have become very fond of the lovely smooth and mellow flavour that Tetley provides. My particular taste in tea is for a refreshing drink. I can not stand strong tea. Some brands I find leave a bitter aftertaste in the back of the throat, whereas Tetley is much milder.
*********** Why tea bags...
