E65 High Flyer in Plain Clothes
Review of Nokia E65 by
modeca
Advantages: WLAN, Symbian S60 V3 Os, compact size, good battery, huge range of software
Disadvantages: Average camera, data entry slightly awkward, no HSPDA
...The E65 is Nokia's answer for those who need smartphone features in a small, compact handset. With this handset Nokia are targeting business users and those who need an extra bit of functionality in the office/ communications side of things. That is why you won't find features such as extensive camera options, an FM radio or loads of storage for your MP3s. The thinking behind this model is - if you want an MP3 player, buy an Ipod, likewise in the camera department.
I chose the E65 as an upgrade on my Three contract. It's a very unassuming phone. The E65 hasn't been greatly advertised like other Nokia models and you could be forgiven for thinking it's the black sheep of the family. I was actually waiting for them to release the N95, but I settled for this model and I've been pleasantly surprised so far. Here are my impressions so far...

**UPDATED ** Nokia E65
Review of Nokia E65 by
psirac
Advantages: Great looks, features and build quality
Disadvantages: Suffers from very occasional crashes
...I've owned the Nokia E65 for almost a year now, I bought it off-contract to replace the AWFUL LG Chocolate (which a friend persuaded me was good) after only a few months.
I usually keep my phones for a year and replace them when my contract comes up for renewal. Because my LG was my contract phone and I bought this one off-contract early, I could have replaced it ages ago...but I didn't.
Why? because this is a great phone and even thought I've had it for just about a year, everything still works, and I'm still really happy with the way it looks and functions.
Before the LG mistake, I'd had several Sony Ericsson phones, and loved them, but well before a year was up, various bits and pieces didn't work anymore (usually the joysticks or some buttons). Since I liked my previous Sony Ericssons, I was about to replace the LG with a k...

Nokia E65 3G Phone review.
Review of Nokia E65 by
kiansharpe
Advantages: clear calls, small, slim, light, sexy, great features.
Disadvantages: No dual camera, making video calling pointless.
...Ok, this is my first review in a while, so I apologise in advance for the rustiness of it.
When I first got the Nokia E65 and took it out of the box, I thought that it looked quite sexy, it's slim slide design, bound by leather at the rear.
Using the buttons on the phone is very easy, even with my 'chunky' fingers, I have not yet made a mistake with writing a text message.
When speaking to another person on the phone, I hear that person very clear, and they have said the same for me.
The resolution of the screen is very clear, and bright, although this can be adjusted to suit your preference.
In the menu, there are many applications from the usual phone book, to Quick Office application (With the option of upgrading should you wish to) There's also an application to put your contacts into groups for conference calling etc...

Nokia E65 is it E-magic?
Review of Nokia E65 by
TheGoldenOne
Advantages: Symbian , nice design , very good software , practical , 3G , WI-Fi
Disadvantages: average battery , gets stuck sometimes
...Nokia E65, is it the step to a new era of tehnology in the mobile phone domain ? if it isnt the step then it will sure be helpful for the step. With its curvey stylish design , state of thr art tehnology , and the possibility of giving it the personal touch of the user , the E65 is one of the best mixtures between lesiure time , bussines , and daily routine.
Summary: A sliding phone that incorporates the latest tehnology of conectivity ( Wi-Fi , Infrared , Bluetooth , 3G ) , with a nice 2.1 camera ( photographing and recording ) , possibility to connect it tot a printer , Symbian , the symbian version of Office ( power point , word , excel ) , Message Reader ( it reads your inbox for you ) , GPS through bluetooth tehnology ( maps can be downloaded from the Internet ), SMS MMS E-mail , Internet .
First of all i was impressed...

E65 Nightmare?
Review of Nokia E65 by
sary_the_fairy
Advantages: Overall a good phone, with good features and looks pretty.
Disadvantages: Slight technical glitch makes a nightmare situation for an impatient person!
...I recently upgraded my phone from the now very outdated LG U890, to the Nokia E65. When it arrived, I was like a child in a sweet shop, I was so excited about it's smooth, sleek and shiny appearance, and it felt great in my hand! It felt really light and generally professional.
When I first went to use it, though, I found it quite difficult to get the thing to work! I couldn't find the menu key (maybe I should read the manual?) so it was a nightmare trying to get to my messages. It was also a completely different lay out to my previous phone, meaning I couldn't just click the down button to get to my contacts, but once I realised this, all was well.
When I discovered many of the different features, I was in awe of the message reader, which kept me amused for a few minutes. I'm not a business person so a smart phone...

A Generally Good Phone but a Few Minor Problems
Review of Nokia E65 by
jamsta0
Advantages: Loads of Features, Good Value
Disadvantages: Slightly Bulky, Prone to Crashing
...I upgraded my previous phone to a Nokia E65 in December 2007. My E65 is on a '3' network price plan for £25/month within which I get 750 free minutes or texts (mix & match).
I was looking for a phone with good Internet access for an affordable price and at the time the E65 was a good mid-range choice. The Nokia N95 or Apple IPhone proving to be too expensive at the time.
The E65 is packed with features including:
- Web Browser
- Wireless Networking Capability (Ability to browse the web from Wirelsss Hotpots)
- MSN Messenger
- A range of games
- Trial office software
- Navigator for GPS service (seperate hardware required)
- Printer Drivers
- Adobe PDF
- Zip Manager
- 2mb camera
The 2mb camera works well for a camera phone and produces good images. Although there is no built in flash facility which...

Great slim phone with various features
Review of Nokia E65 by
cheznal
Advantages: various features inc an mp3 player and realtones
Disadvantages: short battery life and switches off if slider is slammed up or down too quickly
..., and that they have heard of this happening before with some nokia E65's.
Other than these few minor problems, it is an excellent phone with great features. Nice leather-look back, silver front and buttons, large buttons (which I am not too keen on), ability to change your 'quick keys' to have shortcuts to the things that you really use the most. Like I said, other than the short battery life and the switching off problem,. this is by far one of the best phones that I h | | |
