the bagless boss makes cleaning fun
Review of Electrolux 2284 BOSS by  nafan

Advantages: powerful, light, bagless and perfect!
Disadvantages: i was just joking about it making cleaning fun!

...This review is about the Electrolux Z4387 boss lite bagless cyclonic upright vacuum cleaner! For the last year I have had a really terrible cylinder cleaner. It took me ages to hoover a room. This morning I received my new vacuum. I could not believe the amazing suction power of it. I had vacuumed less than a week ago but after hoovering one and a half rooms it was completely full of dust. I always thought my house was reasonably clean but this was obviously not the case! This vacuum has a massive 1500 watts. Not only is it powerful its also pretty light and easy to manoeuvre. The cable is a very good length. I could get around the whole house without even unplugging it. It used to take me an hour to hoover the house but today it took me just 15 minutes. It sucks up everything so quickly and efficiently. This vacuum is bag... Read review

My Super Little Sucker
Review of Electrolux Minimite Super Lite by  SarahP

Advantages: Light, hides away in cupboard
Disadvantages: Gets hot, only a little bag

...My nearly new vacuum had finally given up! (Think it was getting rid of all the spiders in the shed that killed it!) And my old upright vacuum has a tendancy to fall over when it feels like it.... but still works. So I was in need of one that I could keep upstairs as my old one had taken it rightful place back downstairs. After looking at countless Dysons and other expensive models I happened upon this one purely by chance.... in Tesco's of all places. £24.99 for a sweet little vacuum! It couldn't be true! The box said it weighs less than 7lbs, so I picked it up and plonked it in my trolley! It is made by Electrolux.... a name I trust as it seems all my vacuums so far have been theirs. Even my lawnmowers have been theirs! So I knew it should be a good vacuum (despite my bagless one self destructing after the spiders!) When I got... Read review

Morphy Richards, no good at making hoovers..
Review of Morphy Richards 73310 by  tokenboy

Advantages: None.
Disadvantages: Loud.

...Morphy Richards Ultralight Cyclone 1500 W Vacuum Cleaner. This has to be by far the worst vacuum cleaner that I have had the misfortune to use in my entire life. The name suggests that it is lightweight, but this is far from so. It weighs 7.5 kg, compared to 5.3 kg for the Electrolux Cyclone Power Lite that I normally use. It is an upright hoover, which measures 42” high, 12.5” wide and 19” deep (front to back). It has a front loading dust cylinder in the same style as most modern vacuums. It has a bush button release mechanism to release the handle (from the upright position) but this can be a sod to get to operate properly, and it often results in the handle falling down and clumping me, normally on the back of the head. The cleaning accessories or tools, that are provided are adequate but by no means... Read review

Electrolux Fridge with Sparkling Water
Review of Electrolux ERES 31800 X by  madammadness

Advantages: Looks nice, Easy to clean, Dispenses cold water
Disadvantages: Cannot get gas for the sparkling water

...I bought this fridge in September 07 and it really is a very nice piece of equipment. It still looks brand new, even now. It's easy to clean, holds lots of stuff and the extra cooling area is handy for cooling cans. But for me, the feature that REALLY made me buy it was that I could connect it directly to my water filter and have cool sparkling water "on tap". I lapped it up :-) However, less than a year later, I am unable to obtain any new gas cylinders or refill any of my existing cylinders. I have contacted Electrolux customer service and they have not been able to help. In fact, they gave me the run around! For this reason, I have to rate this item as "Very Poor", especially when you consider how much it cost. I wouldn't recommend you buy one of these fridges until Electrolux sort out the gas cylinder supply problem, Julie C... Read review

Electrolux Fridge and Freezer
Review of Electrolux ERES 31800 X by  ambrigen

Advantages: Appearance and features
Disadvantages: Terrible customer service, product quality and accessory support

...I bought this fridge and its companion refrigerator in September 2007 from Comet. Nice looking pieces of equipment and the additional benefit of the sparkling water dispenser. Unfortunately, experiences with both products have been very disappointing.. I would have expected much better from Electrolux. Going through Comet just adds one extra layer of complexity (and difficulty for the customer). - the fridge was replaced once and the freezer was replaced twice, all due to defective electronics that could not be repaired by technicians who claimed the product to be new and that they had not received full product training yet.. much time was spent chasing up repairs (and spare parts) on the phone - the instructions manuals for the 3 freezers that we received were not written by a native english speaker (many mistakes) and the pages were... Superb and longliving
Review of Miele G-645 SC PLUS by  HollinsideHouse

Advantages: Excellent wash, economical
Disadvantages: Fairly basic- go for Miele model with "Spray arm" indicator

...I don't work for Miele but my god I should! This machine was bought to replace a massively expensive Bosch/Siemens/electrolux (same machines different labels) The electronics are not sealed on the bosh/electrolux/siemens which caused on its 15th month a catastrophic failure. I was concerned about AEG being bought by the bosch/electrolux mega conglomerate so plumped for this Miele. Even on the economy setting it washes all but the worst burnt on pans, the door latch is excellent and doesn't need to be wrenched open, I love the cutlery tray, it lets me put so much more in it. We use it 2 or 3 times a day here (6people !)and it has let me down only a couple of times usually when plates jam the spray arms so I'd recommend you pay a bit more and buy the model with a 'jammed spray arm' indicator The drying if superb, the 75degree... Electrolux 500 series - lightweight & durable
Review of Electrolux - 500 series by  djhendra

Advantages: lightweight, long-lasting, efficient
Disadvantages: no longer available - find one secondhand/reconditioned if you can

...The 500 series of Electrolux vacuum cleaners was one of the best they ever produced. Long since obsolete - though still available in reconditioned versions - they were lightweight, efficient, easy to use and easy to maintain. Bag changing was a breeze, and even the drive belts were quite easy to change yourself without calling upon the services of a trained engineer. The last of the 'proper' 500 series vacs was the 560E, which was subsequently replaced by the new Twin Turbo range which borrowed some of the 500 design, but added the carefully-considered functionality of being crap. They all do it, don't they? Take the old long-lasting designs and bin them in favour of new ones which don't last and thus generate better turnover. What a sad place the world has become. Please rate this opinion before going to slit your wrists... Read review

Frozen Asset
Review of Electrolux EU8216 Freezers by  ElaineHosie332

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...The main reason I chose an Electrolux Upright Freezer to replace my old one was for reliability! My first Electrolux Freezer was over 20 years old and never gave us a moments worry. The only reason we had to part with this "old faithful" was due to over-icing. I'm sure it could have been a contender for a Guiness Book Record! I am more than delighted with my new Freezer. It looks smart inside and out and with clear see-through drawers, it is easy to keep a record of the contents. It has a small narrow drawer for storing ice cubes, very handy as they tend to get pushed away to the back of the Freezer. A good, clear and concise intruction manual accompanied this appliance. Having purchased this at a good price I have feel I have got value for money. Would readily recommend this appliance. Well done Elextrolux!... Read review

impressive vacuum
Review of Electrolux Cyclone by  boanerges

Advantages: powerful, lightweight
Disadvantages: tends to topple over

...Having recently given away our old vacuum cleaner to a friend in need we were on the look out for a replacement. On doing a bit of research it seemed that a Dyson was favourite but somewhat expensive. A good alternative seemed to be the Electorlux Cyclone which I was told was probably the best for animal owners, it was also considerably cheaper than a Dyson and appeared to use similar "bagless" technology. We bought the Electrolux and have not regretted our decision, the suction power is very impressive, a frightening amount of dust and dog hair is sucked up every day.The only criticisms I have is that the machine has a tendency to topple over when using the accessories and the extension is not long enough to reach up a flight of stairs although I believe an extension is available as an additional extra. All in all we are very satisfied.... Read review
