Advantages: Fascinating subject matter, gripping, fast-paced action
Disadvantages: Some flaws in the plot which means it is not the classic it should be

As the rest of the action takes place in Paris, I can't help but think that there may well be further errors by this US author, this time relating to the French way of life. This really is a great book, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a thrilling read with an intelligent content. Ordinarily, I probably would have given it five stars, if the subject matter had been different. I just felt that, in this case, it is such an original and clever idea that it had the potential to be a real modern classic; potential which, sadly, is unfulfilled. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended, and I shall be looking out for other books by Dan Brown in the future. “The Da Vinci Code” has recently been published in paperback and can be found in Tesco’s for £3.47, and is also part of various 3 for 2 offers... One of these books I remembered from when I was learning to drive which was 'The Highway Code' This official government publication covers the rules for all road users which includes pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers of all kinds of vehicles, which makes 'The Highway Code' essential reading for everybody and not just those who are about to start learning to drive. It was launched in 2005. I think it's still known as 'Blakc Code' in the US. This is definitely one of my favourite fragrances and I rate it above Armani's Acqua Di Gio, which is renowned for its popularity with women. I have asked my female friends to comapre the two fragrancesw for me and they all agree with me that Armani Code is better; but that is not to say that Acqua Di Gio is not very good. ...This book sets out to explain the ongoing race between code makers and code breakers. It starts way back with very simple codes that only substitute letter with each other. These were thought to be secure until the developments of frequency analysis and other methods. Slowly over decades and centuries new methods involving more complicated methods encryption such as the Vigenere Cipher and Enigma Machine were created, and broken. Simon Singh looks at these different methods, why they were necessary, what there weaknesses were, and how they were broken. Most of the ciphers that were originally thought to be unbreakable fell eventually. He also discusses why ciphers are needed and used, and how they have influenced world issues. ...Intelligent British science fiction isn't a term heard particularly often these days. In fact, dumb British science fiction isn't really heard of either. Simply put, for some reason the British film industry backs away from the whole genre, which is a shame, although when a unique piece does manage to break through, it does make it all the more special. Code 46 is such a piece, although before one can appreciate it for what it is, one has to accept that pretty much everything within this film has been done before. So much of it being lifted from elsewhere may be annoying in many films, but Code 46 takes its basis from some of the intelligent sci-fi greats; elements of Blade Runner, Gatacca and eXistenZ all seem to work their way into the film. ...i was told about the bible code book by a friend a few years ago and i thought it sounded very interesting so i went out and bought it. You can buy it from most big book retailers and there are always alot of them for sale on ebay and reatails at around £10 but you can get it from all libraries. The book is about how a man has found a code in the hebrew bible and this code apparently contains all the major events and people in history as far back as it was written and it trying to say that who ever wrote the bible knows all the events and what is going to happen to earth and us, so it is as if we are just a big script being played out.
