...I bought a Sony F403 about 18 months ago, it's certainly a good deal with a well spec'ed machine (at the time). I upped the RAM to 192Mb and considering it's only got a pokey little processor it runs pretty quick. The system has served me very well under a whole range of applications and has been all over the world with me. The Sony software that comes with it, is a bit clunky and you soon end up replacing it with more well-known versions. Most of the 'delicate' parts of the machine have worked extremely well, however I have had some problems with the keyboard. It's happened twice now where 2 or more keys just stop working. It doesn't seem to have any pattern and they're at opposite ends of the keyboard. No amount of cleaning seems to help and all the software resets that Sony recommend do nothing. ...We have about 10 users in my workplace that use the Sony Vaio F403. I can't vouch for the other Vaio series, but the F403 is a tad flimsy in the build. With a DVD, 64Mb Ram, 8Gb hard disk - it was a good deal for the price but it doesn't seem to stand up to being hauled around. Not much use when the whole purpose of a laptop is to be portable. The most common problem is problems with the screen. Over half of them developed faults within 6 months of purchase. (just as well they were still under warranty) The screen outputs garbled colours and is generally unreadable. Hooking the unit up to a monitor gets round the problem, so it's definitely not a graphics card problem. Another problem that occurred was with the keyboards. A couple of machines had certain keys just stop functioning and no amount of cleaning the keyboards, helped. Lastly... Read review

...I have owned the hotpoint WT960P washer for 3 mths now and, it is by far the best washer i have ever had and very easy to use. It comes with a very easy to understand manual has a 7kg drum which is great and LCD display, the size of the drum allowes you to put more washing in and, cuts down on the amount of times you have to use the washer. I have washed a double quilt in it and put it on a 1600 spin, i was amazed at how clean it was and was not that wet, i am able to put all my king size bedding in , ie cotton quilt cover, bottom sheet, valance sheet and 4 pillow cases all in one go. I had to do 2 loads in my old washer which was only a 5kg. It has many features. it is a cold fill only and has a max spin of 1600, and min spin 0f 400, this spin is great for those hand wash delicates,it also depends on the program you have... Read review

...a Turkey for Sunday lunch as my parents were coming to dinner, but as the local roads were so quiet, I persuaded my other half that we really wanted a trip to my local new all interactive Comet Store – bad move, last time I went there to help my father chose a new printer, I ended up buying a second computer for Natasha, so it was only to be expected that I would end up buying something, yep, you’ve guessed it, a Sony Vaio FX405. Probably one of the most expensive machines in the store, so what swayed me? Well firstly, the machine is being discontinued, in Comet speak this generally means discount in sizeable chunks off the ticket price (I bought both my computers in the same manner).
