...After buying and playing You've Come a Long Way Baby I was hooked on Fatboy Slim's Bigbeat stuff. When I was on holiday in Turkey , The Vault had a Best Of album on that included a load of great Fatboy Slim stuff as well as a track that was a remixed version of Apace (the old Shadows chewn). When I got home I went through all my Slim albums and coudnt fint this track and then noticed it one day browsing through the racks at Reflex in Newcastle. Bought the album and to quote Fatboy Slim I was "F***ing in Heaven" (adjective as opposed to verb this time) This is a great album Great for parties and I've got to go now as my tea's ready By it. ...I was SO surprised to find out that big Mr. Fatboy hasn't lost his roots. This is a fantastic album that highlights the best in bigbeat and Big Norman mixes it all so well. I know alot of the kids out there who love Fatboy Slim for Praise You and "The Funk Soul Brother" have bought this CD and hated it, and they deserve it. This is what true bigbeat is all about and for some it may take a little getting used to, but in the end it's worth it. Notable tracks by the Bassbin Twins, Cut La Roc, Jungle Brothers (my all-time fav FBS remix), and DJ Tonka. I promise you that if you play this album at a party, everyone will have 4.592 times as much fun (that's a proven statistic.)... Read review

...I've been a fan of Fatboy Slim since his first album. One of the major differences between this album and the previous ones is that this one contains a number of songs with a substantial amount of lyrics. Track 11, Song For Shelter, has lyrics that are downright vacant, and track 2, Star 69, contains probably the most annoying subset of the lyrics from Song For Shelter. The first track, Talking Bout My Baby, is mysteriously missing a beat and is pretty repetitive and monotonous. Fatboy Slim earns his stars, though, with tracks 3 through 10. These tracks get back to what Fatboy Slim is best at: funky beats with catchy grooves and haunting overtones. Track 10, Demons (with Macy Gray), is another lyrical selection, but these lyrics are much more coherent, and more musical to boot; it's one of those tunes that gets stuck in your head... ...This thirty seventrack compilation was mixed by Tall Pall and is very good indeed. It includes popular artists like Fatboy Slim, Santos, public domain and darude. With many popular songs, for example Touch me, Phatt Bass and Storm Animal. If i was you i would go out and buy this album now. Even though it's getting a bit old it's still vey good. It is perental advisory so some children may not be able to buy it but the lyrics are not bad (Fatboy slim-star 69 and Rhythmikillaz-Whack ass m.f.)... Read review
