Warhammer Fire Warrior (Good, Bad or Ugly)
Review of Fire Warrior (PC) by  talion78

Advantages: Nice little First Person Shooter
Disadvantages: Gameplay and Visuals are ropey for these days

...though is when you fire them, I’ve always imagined what a Las Gun and an Auto Gun would sound like and fire like, I was disappointed with how these were incorporated into the game. Warhammer 40,000 is set in the 41st millennium, but I think a blowpipe and darts would be more effective than some of the weaponry used. Models and AI During the game you will fight a number of different species of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, various members of the Imperium, and the atrocities of Chaos. The enemies are below:  Imperial Guard (Various)  Space Marines  Chaos Marines  Various Other Chaos atrocities Firstly lets talk about the models themselves. The models are very disappointing, with the technoligy that is available to software houses today, I can see no reason why the models are so angular... Read review

Be On Your Guards Guards
Review of Guards! Guards! - Terry Pratchett by  peppersinclaire

Advantages: Potentially excellent
Disadvantages: Doesn't use its potential

...**NOTE - This is a review of the graphic novel interpretation, adapted by Stephen Briggs and illustrated by Graham Higgins. Thought it was better here than in a separate section.** Dragons don’t half have a hard time of it, y’know. They have their name given to a 21 sided dice game with subsequent cartoon and crappy movie. They appear foolish in Pete’s Dragon. And Sean Connery did the voice for one in the turgid Dragonheart. If anyone can give them the majesty and mystery they deserve, it’s Terry Pratchett, right? Well… yes and no. Guards! Guards! begins with Discworld’s tallest dwarf being sent to the city to make his fortune by his parents. We then meet a mysterious secret order intent on conjuring a dragon up so the rightful king will turn up. Everyone knows kings have to fight dragons, y... Read review

soft guard - hard floor
Review of Tomy Soft Bed Guard by  Micki

Advantages: easy to assemble; light weight and fold up
Disadvantages: more dangerous than a tumble out of bed

...I recently moved my little boy (21 months) from a cot to a bed and as he’s such a fidgety sleeper we felt a bed safety guard was a must. After looking around at the various bed guards available I decided on the Tomy Soft Bed Guard, based on several factors:  This was one of the few bed guards that was suitable for a slatted bed – my son has a cot bed and so it has a slatted base.  It comprises a soft mesh panel (similar to the Tomy stair gates) and so I felt he was less likely to wake himself up/hurt himself if he rolled into it in the night. He also as he has a tendency to drum his feet against the ends of his bed when he wants attention which he wouldn’t be able to do against the mesh.  It easily folds down whilst on the bed for reading bedtime stories and folds up small for going on holiday... On Guard, for this rip roaring film
Review of On Guard DVD by  tayloa22

Advantages: just excellence with a clever storyline
Disadvantages: the ending is a little deflating

...ON GUARD- A review by Addy Background On Guard is a French made film that was adapted for film from the book titled Le Bossu, (The Hunchback) by the author Paul Feval. On Guard was released in 2004 and is your swashbuckling style movie in the vein of all those classic Musketeer movies or The Count of Monte Christo. Being made in France the film On Guard is in French language with English subtitles. This gem of a film is filled to the brim with conspiracy, action, retribution, love, and passion with a healthy layer of wit to top it all off. However, for me what this film has in such abundance is simply that it is such great fun. Additional info Genre: Foreign Films Starring: Daniel Auteuil, Fabrice Luchini, Vincent Perez, Marie Gillain, Sacha Bourdo, Yann Colette, Jean-Francois Stevenin, Didier Pain, Charles... Read review

Woof Wear Tail Guard
Review of Neoprene Tail Guard by  sweetpea_sweetpea

Advantages: Soft & Easy to use.
Disadvantages: Only 1 size and 1 Colour.

...I own the Woof Wear Neoprene Tail Guard and I have done for a few years as its so reliable. Manufactured from soft, flexible neoprene to protect the tail whilst travelling. It has 4mm PX closed cell neoprene, ergonomic design for easy positioning and fit, it is designed to protect from above top of tail right to end of dock. Has a plush outer finish for unlimited strap adjustment and a secure fit and 4 adjustable high density Touch & Close straps. I noticed after the first few times I used it, it slipped down my horses tail, not much but the top of the tail started to poke out. I thought it might be because my horse has quite a thick tail so I decided to put a tail bandage under the tail guard. After this the tail guard didnt slip once!! I also think that having a bandage under the tail is a bit more support and protection. I do... Read review

Right on guard.
Review of Right Guard Deodorant Spray by  oberob

Advantages: Smells good, great protection, no worrying that you might stink.
Disadvantages: Leaves white marks, flammable, could cause irritation.

...We all hate the thought of smelling don’t we? I have found a great way of avoiding that fear, Right Guard anti-perspirant deodorant. Right guard has many different versions of its sprays with slightly different smalls in each. I have the cool version. I have tried others but this is the one I prefer. They all perform the same and have the same effect. This deodorant is a spray can which holds 250ml. It is dark blue and black with a dotted background making the can look textured. It boldly says “24 hour time released protection”. It says on the back - Microencapsulated fragrance releases over time when you need it most. - Provides 24 hour protection against wetness and odour. - Helps to keep you feeling fresh and confident all day. There is a push on pull off clear cap which covers the spraying cap so... Read review

Right Guard, Right Stuff
Review of Right Guard Xtreme Sport Ultra Spray Anti-Perspirant Deodorant by  BlackBall

Advantages: Does the job, smells great
Disadvantages: a bit pricey but nothing else

...When i'm at work in the comforts of my office, the last thing i need are damn sweat patches that not only smell not too good, but a bloody sight embarrasing, it's happened to most men. It was time to find an anti-perspirant and fast. A trek to my local supermarket allowed me to see which i should choose. They didn't have alot so i wasn't really spoiled for choice, but the one that grabbed my attention was Right Guard Xtreme. I was curious about how well it does due to some adverts i saw, but they're made to glamorise products such as this. I didn't want to shell out on something that didn't work, so it was make or break. I got it home after paying somewhere in the region of £3.00 for it. I'm not sure if you go elsewhere it'll be cheaper but i wasn't really bothered. The more expensive it is, the more likely it'll work so... Read review

Mr Crud Race Guard
Review of Mr Crud Race Guard by  123fearnley

Advantages: Great, durable design, very adjustable, simple to fit, many colours.
Disadvantages: it further reduces the lowest seat height if you ride DH

...A great quality, durable mudguard. The mudguard is really simple and easy to fit, just attaching to the seat post (it comes with different sized blocks, so that you can fit it to any sized seat post). Then there is a bracket in the middle, then the guard its self, making it a simple, durable design. You can either buy a long, or short bracket (the bit that covers the distance between your seat post and the rear wheel) on my GT Avalanche, the long one is perfect. You can obviously change the height of the mud-guard, and the tilt of it. And when adjusted, it stays firmly in place, with a little movement to soak up the vibrations of riding. During use, it blocks 90% of all the mud you may encounter, and, should you take a tumble, the manufacturer claims that it is 'indestructible or your money back'. It is really easy... Read review

HEY, WHERE'S THE FIRE?
Review of Tons of Fun Fire Station Ride-on by  matthewsmum

Advantages: Lots of interactive buttons; free helmet and walky-talky
Disadvantages: Can be a little 'too Amercian'; batteries expire quite quickly

...It was quite a worrying day when my son started shouting out Barbie, Barbie. Now don't get me wrong. I'm all for sexual equality, but I draw the line at allowing my little bundle of joy to play with dollies in pink dresses. And then the proverbial penny dropped - he only ever shouted it out when either a fire engine, police car or ambulance passed by. In my infinite wisdom, I had been saying to him "Look, there's a bee baa". (Well, when I was little, they did go bee baa, and not woowoo like they do nowadays!) My worried mind was put at rest when I realised he had been saying the word back to front and referring to it as a baa bee, rather than a bee baa. Over the past few months, this has become a regular saying whenever we see any of the emergency services, and his little face lights up, especially when a big red fire engine... Read review

I'm the God of Hell Fire & I bring you.. FIRE !
Review of Fire Restaurant @ Mansion House by  newty1977

Advantages: Tasty food and modern, trendy surrounds
Disadvantages: Possibly the noise

...Fire Restaurant @ Mansion House Dawson Street Dublin 2 www.mansionhouse.ie ~~~~~~ Locality ~~~~~~ The restaurant is located at the famous Mansion House on Dublin's Dawson Street, as the top end, a short walk from St Stephen's Green. Fire is set back from Dawson Street and is located opposite the famous local Dublin bars, "Ron Blacks", and "Café en Seine", which I frequented during my recent business visit to Dublin, and not for the first time either! The location is within a popular area of town, not too far from other local areas of interest, "Trinity College", which is located at the opposite end of Dawson Street, and Grafton Street, Dublin's most famous shopping street, which runs parallel with Dawson Street. ~~~~~~~~~ Background ~~~~~~~~~ "Fire" restaurant is a part of Dublin's Mansion House, which has...
