...Here is a little fun poem that I wrote a few years ago in a moment of insanity........If it makes just one of you smile I will be chuffed. The poems I write tend to be inspired by people or events but I can't imagine what happened to inspire this one. It must have just been one of those mad moments we all get from time to time. Advantages: Brilliant movie with great story and cast
Disadvantages: People who have seen Firefly previously may get more out of it

...Serenity is the movie that was born from a dead sci-fi TV show and I am so happy that it got made. Firefly itself was a brilliant show that suffered from scheduling problems and FOX not understanding it. Serenity carries on from Firefly but really adds to the mythos of the show and expands the universe. I have recommended this movie to quite a few friends who do not like sci-fi at all and found that they really enjoyed it. Do not be put off by the tag \"Cowboys in space\", many people hear this and think it sounds like a stupid idea (myself included). This may be the look of the show but once you get into it, you find that it really works. ...Firefly summer is a novel set in Ireland in the sixties. The pricliple characters are a family, the Ryans who own a small pub in a small village that is soon to loose it's livelyhood to a big american hotel that's to be opened in the grounds of Fernscourt. Fernscourt is an old stately home that was burnt down in the "troubles" and has since been a playground to the local children. Dara and Micheal Ryan, two twins from the pub, are completely happy with their life until the georgeous American's; Grace and Kerry (that's a boy!) turn up. They become besotted with them, and over the summer, their lives become touched by tragedy, love and friendship. This is a good book to read at the begginning of the summer, it's of outstanding quality, and a bloody good read.... Read review

...FIREFLY is an ISP some of you may not have heard of before, I found them listed at ISPreview (ISPr) and after reading their forums and contacting their Admin/Techies, I was convinced to try them. I am very cautious and thorough when deciding which ISP I should subscribe to, as I spend a lot of time online for pleasure and work. I used to be with Firenet, but due to Affinity problems I left them and joined Firefly in May this year. Something I have not regretted and hope to be with them for many years to come, having been with many ISPs since I first went online in 1995. I bought the DVD box set after watching and loving the film Serenity and wanting to see more of this wonderful world and cast of characters. **About Firefly** Firefly was first broadcast in 2002 on the Fox Network in the US. After eleven episodes had aired, the show was cancelled. A lot of what I've read around the internet says that this was in part due to Fox's poor handling of the episodes - dodgy scheduling, poor advertising, messing around with the order... Read review

Advantages: Reliable, Cheap
Disadvantages: Look of the car.

...I own a Ford Fiesta Firefly, F Reg, Year of 1989. In my own experience, I personally reccommend this car. Yes it has its ups (few) and downs, but the point is, it gets you from A to B and so forth. I have been driving this car for the last 8 months, since I passed my test, and have not had any major problems with it apart from the leads getting wet in the rain, and the car not wanting to start, but it is a nifty little thing. We bought the car 1 year ago for a minute sum of £100. Up to this day, the car has only just done over 84'000 miles. I think this is possibly down the lovely old lady that had it before me, she took great care of it, didn't 'thrash' it, kept it standard, and maintained it well. I think that if she didnt keep it as it was, then it wouldnt do as well as it has. Economically speaking, I think this is a good car... Read review

...'Serenity' is a superb sci-fi movie based on the ill-fated series, 'Firefly'. The history behind the movie is fascinating. Joss Whedon is the brain behind it. He did 'Buffy' and 'Angel'. If I just stay in the past with this earlier work for a moment, fans of those series appreciated the wonderful interplay of comedy and tragedy and came to care deeply about the fate of the characters in them. This is because Joss Whedon is a very talented writer who makes up really good people. You have to love them. My favourite was always the Billy Idol-like, Spike - a vampire who appeared in both series. Others people may have been drawn in by other characters. At any rate, when Joss Whedon writes, he makes up remarkable, fascinating people who we end up investing in and caring about. When they get hurt we suffer. If they make a joke we fall about...
