Reviews of flake
The Flake puts some clothes on
Review of Cadbury Flake Dipped by
jammy_banana
Advantages: doesn't crumble like the Flake
Disadvantages: isn't as fun to eat as original
...Here’s a conundrum for you: what’s the difference between a Twirl and a Flake? A Twirl is a Flake covered in chocolate. What then is the difference between a Twirl and Flake Dipped? Perhaps we are wrong in our assumption that a Twirl is just chocolate with a Flake centre. There was only one way for me to find out, I would have to try a Flake Dipped and find out because, ladies and gentlemen, I know my chocolate.
For years the Cadbury’s Flake has been a firm favourite of the British people. And for most of that time the only Flake we could get was the Original or the slightly smaller Flake 99 for our ice-cream cones. There was nothing wrong with this. However ever since the launch of the KitKat Chunky (oh yes it started all this) chocolate manufacturers have felt the need to “mega-brand”. For the uninitiated this means...

Crumbly messy delight
Review of Cadbury Flake by
mumsymary
Advantages: tasty
Disadvantages: messy
...Cadbury’s flake’
I cannot remember a time without seeing this chocolate bar its bright yellow wrapper adorning the shelves of the sweet shop.
Flakes used to come in one size now you can get mini flakes for your chocolate kick.
Flakes are often included in multi mixed chocolate packs.
I have eaten many a flake in my lifetime usually messily!
Flakes are a stick/finger of chocolate not a solid mass but a bar made of flakes of chocolate.
Since the chocolate is Cadbury’s it taste is good a good rich chocolaty taste.
If you are addicted you can buy this at most places selling sweets Tesco’s Sainsbury’s all supermarkets, the corner shop, the newsagents even the petrol station.
A single large flake retails for 37p They work out cheaper if you buy a multi pack
Flakes are about 6 inches long contain 180kg
I would not recommend buying...

My view on Flake Prailine
Review of Cadbury Flake With Praline by
MissNicole
Advantages: Its different from all the other flakes.
Disadvantages: It was sickining.
...I went to my local newsagents to buy a chocolate bar, and I saw the new Flake praline I hadn’t seen it before so I decided to try it.
I noticed this flake because of the bright yellow wrapper, and since I like nutty chocolate it appealed to me.
The description of the chocolate bar is “Crumbly milk chocolate flake nestled in a rich hazelnut praline”.
The flake packaging is a thick, foiled wrapper, which is bright yellow and creamy brown and purple. With a picture of the chocolate bar on it. It makes you notice it because of the colour. It is very easy to get in to because of the light foil at the top!
When I opened the foil, the flake looked tasty. The flake praline is a milk chocolate flake (wafer thin rippled chocolate) that has been dipped in chocolate that has crumbled hazelnuts in, so that the side and the bottom are covered...

Ah, the nuts have dropped
Review of Cadbury Flake With Praline by
jammy_banana
Advantages: Very chocolaty and nutty
Disadvantages: Not real praline, nut allergy sufferers should avoid
...Ah the humble Cadbury’s Flake. What can I say about the Flake? You can enjoy it on its own as many people do or you can use it to add to other things to improve them. For example ice-cream, a Mr Whippy cone isn’t complete unless it has a Flake 99 stuck in at a jaunty angle. My sister also puts Flakes in her hot chocolate which she says makes a delicious treat to find at the end, I would agree with her on this but I don’t think a heart attack is the kind of treat I would like. You can use the Flake all crumbled up as sprinkles for cakes or cookies or cheesecakes. Why, the Flake can improve many things. Presumably Cadbury got to thinking if there was anyway the Flake itself could be improved? And if so, how?
This lead to the introduction of varieties of Flakes: the Snowflake which is a white chocolate flake, the Flake Dipped...

Messy...but Worth it
Review of Cadbury Flake by
Sazzy_Girl
Advantages: Tastes delightfully yummy
Disadvantages: Can be very messy
...Well, Flake has to be one of my favourite chocolate bars around.
Flakes are made of flakes of Milk Chocolate all combined together into a bar. There are inclosed in a yellow wrapper which is twisted closed at both ends. This is sometimes not the most secure ways to package a chocolate bar.
Flakes taste delicious and are good value for money. However, one of the main disadvantages of a Flake is that it tends to be rather messy in the way that it falls apart quite easily because of its flaky structure.
Price wise, Flakes are good value for money. On their own they cost between 30p and 40p. Flake is available in a 30 g Bar, 160g Share Pack and Special Treats Piece.
Ingredients: Milk, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Vegetable mass, Emulsifier E442, Flavourings.
All in all, even if they are messy, they taste extremely nice and lift...

My flake has got its coat on.
Review of Cadbury Flake Dipped by
mumsymary
Advantages: Does not crumble
Disadvantages: none really , fattening ?
...The gardens looking a bit bleak now, summers over. I lean resting on my spade. Time to put our coats on. Tell you what I bought at the shops gave one to grandson they are really good it was a dipped flake. Have you seen them? Cadbury dipped flake are wrapped in the same yellow wrapper with the Cadbury blue purple swirl with the word flake written on it bit look on the pack and you will see dipped written in white. I bought mine at Tesco's last week but yes Sainsbury sell them, actually if you really want one I think the corner shop has some, sure I saw them last time I popped in for a bottle of milk, They cost 41p at Tesco, looked on website last night if you want to you can buy 3 dipped flakes for 99p till the 14 nov.
Yes that's right dipped flakes are made by Cadbury you always know you are going to get a good chocolate from...

CADBURY FLAKE.
Review of Cadbury Flake by
Morning_Becomes_Electra
Advantages: A delicious chocolate bar that is not too filling.
Disadvantages: None.
...--- CADBURY FLAKE---
"Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two Flake chocolate bars are the same".
Flake has got to be one of my very favourite chocolate bars. It is just solid fabulous Cadburys chocolate. Advertised as the 'Crumbliest, flakiest chocolate in the world the flake bar delivers pure Cadburys, creamy chocolate taste; Going since 1920 the flake bar was created by sheer chance when a Cadbury employee over filled a chocolate mould and noticed how the excess had formed a layered chocolate effect.
Known for their Iconic, sexual advertising since the 1950's, the Cadburys advertising TV campaign showed female models | | |
