...I would never have considered buying an extendable lead for my dogs, I've always thought they were only used by neurotic pet owners worried that their horrible, spoiled, ankle biting Yorkshire Terrier or Poodle might get onto the road and get hit by a car. However, I actually won a flexi lead in a prize draw, luckily it was the right size for my dog, and it's proved worth it's weight in gold. In fact, I even went out and bought another one for my other dog I liked it so much, and although £10 does seem expensive for a dog lead, I believe that it is worth double. The reason why I've found the lead so very useful is that I've recently moved to quite a built up area where it isn't always possible, or safe, to allow my dogs to run about off the lead. Advantages: High Interest

...I have a Nationwide Flexi Account. This is like a normal, run-of-the-mill bank/building society account. You pay your money in and you have instant access to it. However, once you have a Flexi account, you can then involve yourself in online banking. You can manage your account online. Or, you can open up a seperate e-savings account. With an e-savings account you get very high interest and easy access. You request a transfer to your Flexi account and you can have the money the next day. Likewise, you can transfer money from your Flexi to the e-savings account and start earning interest the next day. I am only 16 but find this incredibly handy and easy to use, the very high interest rate attracted me to this account and i was assured that the account would be extrememly secure. ...I have read the reviews on dooyoo regarding these and agree whole-heartedly with what they say. So why am I doing a review of my own? - to give another perspective. The flexi lead is not a long term solution to an aggressive dog or one that will not come back when recalled. It is however proving to be an invaluable training aid. We adopted a dog from a rescue kennels in March. A collie/german shepherd cross, Rebel was seven months old. Born in the kennels he was briefly homed at 10 weeks but returned to the kennels at three months old. When we adopted him, he was totally untrained, had very little experience of the world, and had not been socialised with other dogs at all. At the kennels the dogs were kept in a kennel on their own, his only experience of other dogs were his neighbours throwing themselves at the door... Read review

...As you may know I had worked for Walsall MBC for 30 years before I left last year due to my continued ill health. When I first started as the office junior we all worked the same hours from 9.00 until 17.36 from Monday to Thursday inclusive and from 9.00 to 17.06 on Friday, with one hour each day for lunch, making 37.5 hours per week. Don’t ask me who worked out the strange working hours – they were in force when I got there! Later we had a reduction to a 37-hour week and began to work from 8.45 until 17.15 from Monday to Thursday inclusive and from 8.45 until 16.45 on Friday, with one hour for lunch each day. We were then told that the council was intending to introduce flexi time working for the majority of its staff. ...I have been working 'flexi-time' now for about 4 years. We have core hours in the place I work. These are between 10am and 3pm and you have to be in work between those hours. Besides the core hours I can fit the rest of my working week into the hours of 7am until 7pm. My working week is 37 hours. I have to have a minimum of half an hour for lunch unpaid every day, but I can take up to two and a half hours if I need to. I don't strictly have to work 37 in a week. I can work less or more as long as my flex-time is within the allowed limits at the end of each 4 week period...sound complicated I know, but it's not. I very often work more hours than I need to in order to save for extra time off. I am allowed 2 and a half days off in flexi-time in any 4 week period. It is about the same length as a standard toothbrush and the bristles form triangles to really get stuck in. ...My friend’s dad has got a couple of dogs and a few weeks ago he decided to get them some new collars…….simple enough you would think. But, the choice is quite difficult as there are quite a few on the market. The flexi lead is great for bigger and stronger dogs as my friend’s dad’s are. It gives the handler much more control over the dog via the lead. The handler can use the lead to keep the dog as far or as near as he/she wants. You use your thumb to stop the lead from expanding. It’s great for when your in a busy area and therefore need more control over the dog and if you want to bring the dog back to you can do quite effortlessly. You are given a lot of control. ...I have recently signed up with Nationwide to use their new e-saving account. They have an excellent rate of saving on just £1, currently at 7.0%. The service is well run and it feels secure to use. Signing on for this service is relatively easy providing security ifromation, Nationwide then write to you with your customer number and pass number to access the on line services. You can use the e-saving account if you have a Flexi account (if you don't have one you can also apply on line) you then transfer money from your normal account into the e-savings account. This service is espescially if your normal high street bank fails to offer current savings account with attractive interest rates like Nationwide.
