Another quality Apple product. A+
Review of Apple Cinema HD Display by
luketheking123
Advantages: Widescreen display
Disadvantages: Could be a little cheaper
...Well what can I say, a perfect display from a top notch company. Expect nothing less than perfect with Apple products. I used to be a huge PC fan but with the Intel chips and great designs of the Macs these days i'm really into my Apple products these days. As a Systems Administrator at a large design firm, I have recommended these products over another alternative (Formac for instance) ok so the Apple display costs quite a bit extra, but it's money well spent. The Formacs display quality cannot even begin to compare with the Apple display. The resolution is great and as with all LCD screens, the refresh rate is best viewed at 60hz for optimum performance. These will soon be replacing all of our CRT LaCie monitors as they're nowhere near as bulky/heavy and offer even better quality....

Great Screens, compatible with PC
Review of Formac Gallery 1740 Platinum by
Darkle
Advantages: Great looks, Low refresh rate, built in USB hub and reliable
Disadvantages: Non-PC display connetor
...The Formac 1740 is a fantastic TFT. I have set a number of these up for clients and the refresh times, viewing angles and the sheer size of the screen make them ideal for watching DVDs, playing games and generally using the computer. Gone are the days of ghosting that used to be associated with TFTs.
Great as these are, I would like to make sure anyone intending to buy one of these is aware of a few points which may cause hic-ups in setting up if you intend to use this on a PC.
1. As the brand name would suggest these are intended "FOR MACs" as in the Apple Macintosh. Only recently within the past couple of years have the manufacturer really started promoting them and making them properly compatible with PCs. As such, some of the monitors still come with an ADC connection which is the standard for Macintosh computer displays...

Great Screens but read before buying
Review of Formac Gallery 2010 by

Advantages: High Quality Screen, Low refresh rate, Built in USB Hub great looks, Excellent Viewing angles

very bad first impression
Review of Formac Disk Oxygen Hard drive 250 GB by
dave8999
Advantages: ease of connection
Disadvantages: shockingly bad complete lack of guidance for set up
..., and here it is, all working properly (you lie device manager)
Look on the disc, masses of folders and files, all gibberish and unreadable by my computer. Finally find a manual, contains a 16 page PDF document. Quite possibly the worst manual I have ever seen. It's not until page 10 that you get a bit about setting it up on your computer. Then all it tells you is to get windows to do it.
Now I am not an expert so having sought some advice, I identify that I have to do some with with disk management, and eventually work out myself that it needs a partition, drive letter and formatting. Quite important, and some guidance from Formac would have been nice.
It's now working, it's very quiet, and lightening fast, but first impressions do count, and the stress of setting it up, with the gradual dawning that it may have to go back with all the hassle...

Unsafe! DON'T BUY IT!
Review of Maxi Cosi Tobi by
mammall
Advantages: looks good
Disadvantages: children can easily remove their arms from the straps. very dangerous
...DON'T BUY THIS CAR SEAT!!! Although it looks great and seems to have a clever arm strap thingy it is a complete nightmare car seat. the plastic bits break off and the worst thing is my child could get her arm out if the straps. this made for some interesting stopping on motorways etc. i was so concerned that i asked other mothers of their experience and was horrified to find the same thing. i called Dorel (who own the maxi cosi brand) and was told they know about this problem but that they wouldn't do anything unless enough people complained!!!! luckily i was able to get a refund from where i bought it and they no longer sell it. maxi cosi is a good brand though and i have a brilliant priori xp now. very pleased....

Top of the Bots
Review of Pampers Nappies by
mabboo
Advantages: Absorbant, stretchy, carry packs
Disadvantages: Expensive
...and keep everything away from his little bot all night, so the whole house sleeps better.
Size wise they do Midi, Maxi, Maxi Plus and Junior in Active fit. Mini, Midi, Maxi, Maxi Plus, Junior, Junior Plus and Extra Large in Baby Dry. These both come in carry packs or economy packs. The carry pack being half the economy pack size.
The number of nappies in each pack depends on the size of nappy and the 'cut' ie Active Fit (AF) or Baby Dry (BD)
CARRY PACK...............AF......................BD
Mini.................................. - ........................45
Midi..................................32.......................38
Maxi.................................26........................34
Maxi +..............................25.......................32
Junior.............................24.........................30

Confused you will be
Review of Huggies Nappies by
sarah.shipley
Advantages: great nappies
Disadvantages: the new colour packets
...Warning Huggies have now got a new range of nappies, well I don't think the nappies have changed just the range. Why? Nobody knows.
Before hand everybody except a few companies would have 6 different sizes from Newborn, Mini, Midi, Maxi, Maxi Plus and Junior (some do premature nappies or low birth weight). I never had any problems with these sorts as each pack of nappies would be clearly marked the size and would also have the different weights on them.
Huggies now come in 3 stages
The first is Beginnings - (Yellow) - Sizes Newborn and Mini
The second is Freedom - (Green) - Sizes Midi, Maxi, Maxi Plus, Junior
The Third is Adventures - (Orange) - Size Maxi Plus and Junior
From looking at the new packs things are now abit confusing.
I asked my husband to pick up a pack of nappies last night on the way home from work (I was just lazy...

Try them to see the difference
Review of Huggies Nappies by
Biffa
Advantages: better absorbancy, no splits
Disadvantages: smaller pack size
...Since my daughter has been 2 weeks old, she has been sleepling through the night...an angel! However, this caused as a problem with the nappies after she hit the 12 month mark. Quite often in the morning, the nappy (being a Huggies Maxi) would have split because it was so wet. I rang Huggies and complained, not just because they were splitting but because the crystals were covering my babies delicate little botty, and also because at 8 months pregnant again I couldn;t be doing with giving her a bath every morning as soon as she woke up.
Huggies advised me to try the Maxi Plus, which are a little bit bigger all round, and have a better absorbancy. Since changing to these, we have had no splits, so crystalised bottoms and a happy mother and baby. I have to say that the customer service people at Huggies are also very polite...

Mini Chocolate, Maxi Taste!
Review of Kinder Maxi by
Nikkixxx
Advantages: Cheap & Tasty
Disadvantages: Rather small and hard to find!
...and a black "K". Easy to spot... especially if you like to hunt down any Kinder products, like myself. As i said before, Maxi bars are hard to find but big stores such as Woolworths and Wilkinson stock them.
This is my first choice when buying chocolate! Great tasting, small enough to snack on, and cheap!
Perfect for nibbling on!!...

Maxi Cosi Priori Car Seat - I recommend this...
Review of Maxi Cosi Priori Toddler Car Seat by
adaway123
Advantages: Reclines, Easy to fit
Disadvantages: Quite chunky
...This car seat is fantastic for a few basic and simple reasons... read on...
It is really easy to fit, simply feed the seat belt through, clip it in and pull to tighten then clip to rear of seat, can be done in seconds.
It reclines so easily, it has a leaver down low between the infants feet, lift the leaver and the chair glids into I believe, 4 different positions making your little one as comfy as can be.
It has nice deep sides which leads me to believe it would protect my daughter well in the case of an accident.
It has padded traps for more comfort.
It has a five point harness which is easy to use, we also own a britax car seat which is really awkward to do up and everything seems back to front on it, the maxi cosi though is great, really simple, quick and easy to use.
On the down side, it is quite chunky so if you had a really...
