Reviews of gaiter
Taking on the Unknown Like Never Before
Review of General: Malaysia by
tiger645
Advantages: Amazing and beautiful country
Disadvantages: Hospital visits
...to eat half of hers. SL was very pleased with our encouragement. I ate the rest of AB's once she had eaten her share. However I was unable to drink the Milo however much I liked it as it gave me serious pains in my chest. We had to put on our gaiters for the first time which took about 10minutes to get on. I was ready before most other people and so helped them get theirs on. However when we were eventually ready to set off KC decided our rucksacks were too heavy and we should share all toiletries between several people. And so after a little more unpacking we were ready to go. BB was not allowed to come due to her illness so we had to leave her at Nancys. We had to jungle guides to help us through the jungle, Chris and Petros. We mainly walked on dusty roads and through fields before lunch and stopped in a field full off cow poo for lunch...

Nissan Sunny GSX Sports Coupe
Review of Nissan Sunny by
NISSANINPOSSIBLE
Advantages: Hyper Drive Power
Disadvantages: None
...searching for one of these cars, then please check the for the following:Floor Pan Rust & Full Underside Rusting,Make Sure The Front Electric Windows Work (Common Fault Usually Being The Wire Pull Fraid & Rusted Due To Water Entering The Front Door Interiors & Running Down Between The Inner & Outer Door Skins)
Exhausts for these cars can cost alot of money,so check for blowing right along all the sections.
Steering rack gaiter rubbers also as they do tend too perish & also the main drive shaft gaiters.
Check power steering unit bottle for leaks & the down flow rubber pipe.
If the steering feels heavy, then it could be the tyres being flat or a damaged power steering.
The car body is very light indeed, but needless too say,it does not wander all over the road at high speeds, but is you fit a body styling kit, like adding side skirts, then your...

The long and the short of it.
Review of Loveson Boots by
spottydog2
Advantages: Nice lining and looked smart.
Disadvantages: Lining didn`t last long.
...to have lasted longer. It was worth paying more than for other rubber riding boots as they were much more smart and versatile. Obviously they were not as smart as leather boots but were a fraction of the cost. When I eventually did throw them away I did not replace them with the same. I bought loveson short leather jodhpur boots which I was pleased with.
There are pros and cons to having short and long boots. What I tend to do now is walk around the yard in my short boots, muck and and then when I ride just put on my chaps with the short boots. I prefer to ride in separate boots and chaps or gaiters as they are less restrictive, easier to put your heel down. I have leather boots and gaiters for shows, they look like long leather boots and they are very smart. I do not regret buying the Loveson PVC leather look boots as they did me...

You will definatly be storming ahead in these!
Review of Peter Storm Women's Skiddaw Leather Boot by
redhotfeet
Advantages: (+)Waterproof, (+) Breathable, (+) Sturdy, (+) Good quality, (+) Well Priced
Disadvantages: (-) Leather boots need taking care of
...there was an offer for half price gaiters at the same time so it's worth asking if they have any offers on at the time. (Gaiters are a piece of material that attaches to your boot and is zipped up your leg to your calf/ knee region and held tightly by elastic to prevent your trousers becoming dirty and wet------I know it doesn't sound very attractive but it keeps you dry and clean!)
At all main line Outdoors shops like Blacks and Millets a 10% discount is available if you have a Duke of Edinburgh card or student card. (Which is particularly good for buying large amounts of stuff like summer festival season!)
**********Availability**********
They are still definitely available from Millets, which is where I bought them. They should also be available in other outdoor shops as they are a well-known brand. They are also available for men...

O yes.
Review of Orienteering - General by
Helen87
Advantages: fun, a challenge, keeps you fit
Disadvantages: running through brambles ruins your legs
...- this is compulsory and you usually will not be allowed to run without one) and a brain. You may need a pen to copy down your course onto your map, and a clear plastic bag to put your map in. Most orienteers wear stupid clothes (some wear, shock horror, Lycra leggings but I prefer "O suits" : specially designed loose tops and trousers that look a bit like pyjamas), gaiters or "bramble-bashers" to protect your legs and orienteering shoes (running shoes with rubber or blunt metal studs) but these aren't necessary if you're just trying it out. You may feel a bit stupid prancing around in ridiculous clothing at first (or you may not, I'm without prejudice) but everyone else wears it too.
Right, okay. Next. What the heck is a control? A control is a point marked on the map with a circle, and on the ground with a red and white kite. You 'punch' each control...

My first red car - minus the black stallion
Review of Hyundai Lantra 2.0i GLS by
MRANDREWSJK
Advantages: Reliable, fast and economical
Disadvantages: crap wheels and high depreciation
..., this will be in the region of £500 as the timing belt should be replaced, so I will detail this in a minute. At present the only minor niggle to have surfaced now that I had covered 6,000 miles is that the front brake pads have started squealing, indicating that a change may be neccessary.
As promised, here is the result of that service, the 40,000 mile service being a major one which I decided was best to be undertaken at the main dealers, Premier Autocentres of Sidcup, Kent.
The following items were checked:-
Brake and clutch pedal travel and free play.
Parking brake travel and operation.
Horn, wipers and washers.
Brake pipes, hoses and connections.
Drive shaft gaiters and boots.
Engine and transmission fluid leaks.
Exhaust system condition.
Steering linking and PAS hoses.
Rear brake pads.
Front suspension and steering bolt torque...

Fabulous all round car
Review of Volvo S60 2.0 T S by
Postie2003
Advantages: Punchy, characterful engine, refinement, comfort, build quality, equipment, value for money
Disadvantages: Poor turning circle, poor rear legroom, numb steering
...'t think it suspicious. My car has the "space ball" gearlever, which uses a silver dome instead of a traditional gaiter at the bottom of the lever. It looks striking, and has prompted several positive comments from passengers. Shift quality is excellent, if a little long on travel, and if there are more comfortable, supportive seats fitted to a production car anywhere, I haven't sat in them.
This is the basic, entry level S model and yet it has everything I need. A superb CD, tape and radio system, all round electric windows, electric mirrors, remote central locking, dual zone air conditioning, an electric sunroof, ABS, STC, cruise control and part leather trim. The combination of electric sunroof and air-con is a particularly nice one, and something that can be very tricky to find on rival manufacturers cars, which tend to have one or t...

I love my Lovesons!
Review of Loveson Boots by
Mandi_mo
Advantages: Comfy, very smart, cheap
Disadvantages: None (although some places might not stock them)
...mine on for 5 mile hikes with the dogs.
They come into their own when used for riding as the smooth-but-grippy sole helps your feet stay put in the stirrups. When worn with a smart pair of half-chaps or gaiters they can be used for those occasions where long boots are usually worn (e.g. show jumping, showing etc). In fact, I find this half-chap/joddy boot combo a lot less clumpy than my long leather boots - making me feel altogether more elegant in the saddle...(!)
I purchased my recent pair in the summer of this year, and I am sure they cost around £35 from my local saddlery shop. There are some better bargains to be found on some equine internet shops however.
In a nutshell, if you are going to buy joddy boots get yourself a pair of these. They are a quality item at a very reasonable price, and they beat most of the higher...

Oh well, theres always next time.....
Review of Mt Kilimanjaro National Park (Tanzania) by
fryera2
Advantages: Amazing scenery, friendly people
Disadvantages: Harder than expected, expensive park fees, altitude sickness on summit night :(
...of the trek, but it is also usual to give your porter something as well. I gave mine some gaiters I was never going to use again.
The Tanzanian people are the loveliest people you are ever likely to meet, but unfortunately begging is endemic in the villages below the slopes of Kili. They are not too pushy though and if you say no then they will generally leave you alone. A lot of them sell carvings and some of them are excellent quality and bartering is great fun.
Based on my experience the food on a Kili trek is quite nice - a lot of carbohydrates, eggs, pulses etc and it does get a bit boring, but when you are at high camp it is amazing you even get that. I never want to eat Millet porridge again though
The park fees for Kilimanjaro are very expensive $580 for our trip, but if it goes towards the conservation of the mountain...
