2001... A Giant Odyssey
Review of Belfast Giants by  christopherj84

Advantages: that would be everything
Disadvantages: no

...of the season, our defence has came on leaps and bounds since then. Terran Sandwith has added height, although I did like Doug Searle (our big defenceman last year, now with London.) Shane Johnson is still quick and a very good hockey player and has a good relationship with Terran. Chad Allan had a quiet start but has now moved up and is playing like he has been with the Giants for years. Offence The first league match of the season saw us lose 9-3 to London. The next match saw the arrival of Sean Berens who got on the score-sheet without wasting any time and went on a scoring streak, he has added a vital piece to our team; extraordinary skill! He is ridiculously comfortable with the puck and adds to the team. I am not criticising the other attackers but Sean Berens is something different. The other attackers do their part also, every single... Read review

Giants - A Holiday Gone Wrong
Review of Giants: Citizen Kabuto (PC) by  Jak2039

Advantages: Three Sides, Vast Maps, Three-Way Multiplayer, Humour, Base-Building
Disadvantages: Linear Story, Not For Minors

...Giants - Citizen Kabuto was developed by Planet Moon Studios. The first I heard of this game was from a demo some years back. It was three episodes into the main storyline and the first thing I noticed was how extensive the levels were. For as far as the fog and view range would allow you, there was either terrain or water. The game is based on a series of islands, so the water is quite common. But as you proceed through the levels, you are faced with enemies, some indigenous to the environment, others are intruders. The story starts off following a Cockney space alien, called Baz. There are five of them altogether and you slowly gather together your comrades: Tel, Reg, Gordan & Bennett. They've all got their quirks, but it's the humour that shines most. Throughout the entire game, the humour is very apparent, but it... Read review

Disadvantages: Maybe it hasn't a save section inside the game.

...We are waiting for this kind of game too much and it is wonderful to wait and meet with this game callet Giants:Citizen Kabuto.Everything is wonderful in the game:Its atmosphere, its sound and graphical effects, its music, its comedy. At last I have a time for playing Giants and I lost my connection with real world. They are 3 different type of people in the games and their playability are different from each other. You can enjoy yourself too much with this game. Here are the races: 1)MECCs:The soldier people you can control at the first scenario of the game.Basil(you) and their few friends must to land to a planet because of malfunction of their space ships. After Baz has fallen from the ship with a little accident you start to control your team for observing the planet. When wandering you meet with a little harmless races called smartie... Giant's Den. Team Valley Trading Estate
Review of The Giants Den by  DemonicAngel

Advantages: 2 hours' play for your money!
Disadvantages: Expensive unless you buy a book of 5 or ten visits in advance

...We don't live near the Giant's Den, but we do find ourselves, with the kids, at the Team valley retail park from time to time. Shopping's no fun to 4 youngsters, so one afternoon, we decided to treat them to softplay. We have been to numerous softplay sessions over the past 6 years, and Giant's Den is there at the top for us. It's huge, with lots of different zones for different ages and activities. There's plenty there to keep the kids entertained .... 0-2 zone ball pond, shapes area, little 3-tier play area for the tiny toddlers to enjoy 2-4 zone separate play area for older toddlers with a spiral slide, ball pond as well as an obstacle zone under 6 'mini-village' cars, houses, see-saw rockers, roller-coaster car track for a slightly bumpy car ride The main zone Includes a variety of slides (giant wavy astra... Osis Mini Giant Strong Hold Compact Hairspray
Review of Osis Mini Giant Strong Hold Compact HairSPray by  lilyellowfish

Advantages: Strong hold, lasts a long time
Disadvantages: Does not brush out easily

...applications as a 200ml standard spray. This spray is fast drying, style fixing with a long-lasting medium control that will brush out easily". Osis has several hairstyling products including hairspray, styling gel and wax. Osis have a control rating of 1-3 measuring the hold of the product. 1 being the lowest hold and 3 being the strongest hold. Osis Mini Giant hairspray has a rating of 2 - being medium hold. I would say this is a sufficient hold and is already a strong hold, so the rating of 3 would be an extremely strong hold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What the product looks like ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The hairspray comes in a 100ml compacted can and contains the same amount of hairspray as a 200ml can would. It is metallic and comes in a lovely red colour, any writing or information comes in silver or black writing. The can looks... Read review

The Giant's Den
Review of The Giants Den by  danielalong

Advantages: huge play area
Disadvantages: Expensive

...Giants den Huge warehouse on the easily found Team Valley trading Estate, this has been opened a few years now, and is usually busy…one of those places to go to when it's raining and you need something to amuse the kids. The whole area is divided into sections for under 2s, which is basically ball pools and Little vehicles to drive in a specially enclosed area, an area for under 5s, which is more of the same but with some slides and climbing frames added, and then there is the real "I am" things. These include a giant slide 3 storey climbing frame, as many nets and tunnels as you can negotiate, basketball area (there are coaching nights), PS2 and x box areas complete with some of the latest games and a mini village with small road system. Definitely something for everything if nerves can take it!! PARTIES We have. Over... Read review

A real Giant of the Gaming Industry.
Review of Industry Giant 2 (PC) by  pumfster

Advantages: Great range of industries, addictive
Disadvantages: Can become slightly too easy after a while.

...Having never played the original Industry Giant game, I was unsure of what to make of this when it was first released. Great reviews from magazines and gamers alike, yet I was still worried. Would it be like Sim City repackaged, a copy of the mighty Railroad Tycoon or various other more dodgy games? Well thankfully the answer to all of these questions is an emphatic NO. Industry Giant 2 really is one of the best sim type games ever produced. The range of options is huge, with both single and multiplayer modes included. The system requirements of this game are not too taxing on modern PC's. I would recommend a 400MHz processor with at least 64MB RAM. In addition an 8 speed CD-ROM with 3D graphics card are needed and the game will take around 800MB of hard drive space once saved games are taken into account. Now onto the game... Read review

Not the Giant Album of Oasis' Album history
Review of Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants - Oasis by  manc_azza

Advantages: Some cracking underrated songs...
Disadvantages: Some boring tracks

...'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' put Oasis in a different limelight to the public, this album put Oasis under pressure as it got slated by the critics for being a 'dire' album. However, the album itself is a big improvement from Oasis' previous album before this 'Be Here Now' which was far too long as an album, some songs dragged out too much. Some of Oasis' influences in Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants was easy to see especially in 'Who Feels Love?' where the influence of George Harrison enters, and as Liam was a big Beatle fan that is no surprise. This album contains one of Oasis' best ever songs in which is very underrated, 'Gas Panic' is excellently lyrical as Liam said in a previous live gig 'You've got to listen to the song' talking about 'Gas Panic he is certainly right! The album also includes their comeback single 'Go Let... Read review

this giant towers over other films
Review of The Iron Giant DVD by  utero

Advantages: great characters and animation
Disadvantages: not many dvd extras

...I'm sure many people will have some memory of reading a story by Ted Hughes called "The Iron Man". Well this film is an adaptation of that story. An enormous robot falls from space to the earth to be discovered by a young boy named Hogarth Hughes. It's the fifties and america is just coming out of the war. Hogarth finds this giant metal robot to be quite innocent but has a problem hiding the 50 foot tall monster and keeping him a secret. This robot likes to eat metal and soon some cars are left chomped in half that interests the government. Naturally Hogarth and the Iron Ginat have a lot of fun until the government show up and want to nuke the innocent robot after a government agent lies about him being a threat. This is a fantastic animated film that actually has a lot of old fashioned style and charm. It has some great litl touches... Read review
