...Imagine walking in to a friends house and see them controlling their hi-fi from another room than the one in which the hi-fi is situated. I was amazed that mini hi-fis now have wireless WIFI technology now as well. It has two separate units that have their own remote controls, separate from the main reception centre. Aesthetically its a nice black hi-fi that comes with an impressive 80Gb of harddrive for stroing songs and albums. It has an integrated CD player and obviously plays MP3 tracks. The ethernet connection works a wonder and it was simple to configure your song catalogue on a computer. One cool thing is that with numerous wifi receivers you can choose separately what you listen to. So i could be listening to one song and someone else could listen to their own song. ...is something that surprised me when I opened the box. If you plan on putting the hi-fi on a shelf it would be a good idea to measure before you buy because this hi-fi is over a foot long and you will need a fairly wide shelf to accommodate it. The CP-100 is an attractive looking hi-fi and its sleek design and soft silver colouring make it ideal for the more looks conscious buyer (that’s me). I wanted something to fit in with the look of my living room and the Sony CMT CP-100 fitted the bill perfectly. The main unit, as is to be expected with most modern hi-fis has a CD player, tape deck and a radio as well as a socket to connect headphones should you wish to do so. ...lounge. I just have to cover the badges up! The Tape player has "intellegent audio" built in. You can set it to stop when it comes to the end of a particular track. Handy for getting past that song you dont like. The remote has a good range which is suprising. Sometime the cheaper goods have limited range but I can use it from nearly all angles and from some distance. The tuner comes with up to 32 presets on both AM and FM bands. It even has a great range if connected up to an extrernal aerial and the quality is superb. The overall sound is crystal clear which is unusual for the micro HI Fis. They can tend to sound very trebly but this does not. In fact, it has quite a bit of bass for such small speakers. One thing is that it is a micro Hi Fi and will not win any "Who has the loudest Stereo" competitions. Recommended? If you have a good... Read review

...groceries here though, and it's no wonder, it takes 12 hours on the ferry to get here so their delivery person would take at least 36 hours to get me my groceries and back to base. However if I stayed in mainland UK I would definately use this service, I hate going to the shops - I could order it up and stay at my computer (which earns me most of my income now). Anyway back to the story. The following Christmas my wife wanted a new HiFi, the old one was buggered, so I tried to find one for her. The internet searches all came up with fancy HiFis but none suited my needs, we needed one that could play her old LP collection.
