..., but not once did I twist my ankle. The boot has a great deal of support around the heel with lots of padding on the fabric inside lining. The overall boot is durable and also waterproof. It has a sewn in leather tongue so there are no gaps between the boot and the tongue as it is all in one to prevent water getting in to the inside of the boot. Technically you would be able to stand in water up to above your ankle in depth and not get wet as the leather creates a waterproof cover (providing you keep the boot care up and look after it). ...I bought Scafell because I needed some lightweight waterproof walking boots and was bored with getting my feet soaked in soggy trainers. These might be waterproof, they certainly worked in some light rain for an hour but the soles just don't have the stiffness for anyone my weight 13.5st / 89Kg I feel every pebble, and its not nice. I normally walk on the North downs across fields and the paths are not that rough but I feel like my feet are being prodded and squished by every tiny item I stand on. To compare, my running trainers are much better at soaking up the bumps. Also the padding seems very thin around the toes making downhill walking prone to rubbing. If you are looking for lightweight shoes on very easy terrain and are say, half my weight you might consider them.... Read review

...is Keswick, about a 20 minute drive from Ambleside. Keswick is a lovely little market town which is becoming increasingly more popular and therefore commercial but is a great place for a morning shop fuddle. Lovely little tea shops and pubs, a fantastic sweet shop that takes up 2 whole shop fronts!!! and the usual array of outdoor shops, the most famous is Fishers who have won the title of outdoor retailer of the year and have a very good website georgefisher.co.uk. I could not find any details of this on the site but the last time we visited they did offer a boot hire service which, although I have had my own boots for years, I would consider using for the children and anyone who has not really hiked before and doesn't know if they want to invest in a decent pair of boots until they have tried it. Advantages: affordable waterproof boot, nothing fancy but works
Disadvantages: no real protection

...on these so your feet can get hot in summer. The sole is petrol and oil resistant and the insole is made from memory foam. The material used on the boot is quite soft and flexible so do not expect high protection from these. There is no re-enforcement anywhere so I would say these are simply cheap boots to replace the dangerous use of trainers or shoes. The biggest problem with this boot is that while you can walk easily in them, they are not designed for walking. The sole itself is made from a softer rubber than other boots and is easily worn down. That's not much of a problem for me as they are motorcycle boots not hiking boots or for everyday non-motorcycling wear. ...Peter pan My daughter bought my grandson Adrian aged 4 a Peter Pan dressing up costume from Woolworths and when we visited last he put it on to play. This dressing up costume costs £15.00. This costume comes in two sizes 3-4 years and 5 to seven years. This is a Ladybird brand costume made with100 polyester. And is sponge clean only. Adrian likes dressing up usually as a fireman, but he had seen a Peter Pan film recently and my daughter thought the costume cute. Adrian dressed in the green tunic top, green trousers and boots a belt around his waist, put on the Peter Pan hat that has a feather in it and pranced around with the soft knife provided with the set and saved his 9 month old sister. He enjoyed playing in this outfit and although I am not sure that he really was pretending to be Peter Pan he just danced around to charm... Read review

We all love 3for2 offers and buy 1 get 1 free but do we really save well I think the real answer is NO. Take my example for instance a shampoo costs £2.29 single, buy 1 get 1 free hey they hike the price up to £2.99 my best example is 3for2 box of tissue paper £1.89 Single 3for2 £2.49 Total £5.98 hey presto you have lost BTC have gained. think about it do u need 3 of the same product?? do you need 3 packets of Batteries or 3 shampoo?? The only value products I found at Boots were the Meal deal, vitamins and travel insurance. They pay there staff in central London £11.568 per year that includes london weighting and charhe the earth for products.
