...Absolutely fantastic! I got my first Mac back in January, equipped with iLife '08 and Leopard - the standard, cheapest package i could afford. Looks absolutely amazing, it is a gorgeous design, compact look, the keyboard and mouse - it all just works! It also runs more smoothly than any PC i've ever owned; the animations are fluid and pleasing to the eye, and the GUI is just really well worked out. I had always wanted one - they seem to differentiate people, from the normal PC users, to the media and tech-savvy Mac users. I just always felt i belonged to the latter (or should have been!) I also got student discount and a free printer (via rebate) so it turned out about £680 for the whole package! =) All from the Apple store themselves too! Blooming marvellous - now upgraded to 3GB RAM, it works like a charm! Definitely recommended!... Read review

...Well what can i say, ( lots ) All my life i have been in the windows camp, there was no better computer and i loved to upgrade all the time, but vista, come on, its C*** it locks you out all the time, has more error messages than JFK airport, and freeze\'s all the time no matter what spec of your computer. i was furious so i did the deed.. i bought a mac, and it sounded fantastic, comes with ilife 08 containg all the programs ( imovie idvd grageband etc. ) and they all work ( yes they work.. jelous arnt you windows) the work fantasticaly, and if you orded after the 1st of october you recive an update to leopard for £6 yes £6 instead of the £85+ youd be paying, and then all macs will come with leopard already installed. ...except. No fuss, first time - every time. It comes pre-loaded with the operating system and iLife08 which had iPhoto, iDVD and Garageband. All of which are excellent products and let you produce some amazing multimedia projects. The system has not crashed once. Is amazingly fast, very quiet and looks amazing.
