All hail the Ice Queen
Review of Indesit BAAN 12 by
belgian.waffle
Advantages: cheaper than expected, performs really well, large storage space, well built
Disadvantages: needs second large bottle rack rather than the 2 small ones in door compartment
...It's very hard to get excited about a fridge freezer it really is. This review could be the shortest on record if I just said that the fridge chills food and the freezer, guess what, freezes food. I will go on however and tell you all about my Indesit BAAN 12, the beautiful white goddess that now stands in the corner of my kitchen.
It cost me £249.99 from Argos and I consider this a fair price for a fride freezer. I had expected to pay upwards of £300.
For you rmoney you get a fridge freezer that falls into energy efficiency class 'A+', that stands 175cm tall, 60cm wide and 65.5cm deep. Like most models, the door opens from the left to right. The fridge has 5 shelves, a veg crisper tray, an egg rack and within the door compartment 3 bottle sections of varying sizes. If you like to store a lot of wine like me you'll find that the bottle...

softer hands and cleaner dishes
Review of Indesit IDL 535 by
Miskah
Advantages: washes and dries efficiently
Disadvantages: basic model without many frills
...The Indesit IDL 535S is a silver full size dishwasher that means it will hold up to 12 place settings. Its dimensions are (H WD) 85 x 60 x 60 cm so it will fit under most work surfaces and will be large enough for most families. It is available in silver and in white (the |S after the model number indicates its silver)
It is fairly economical to use and has an Energy Efficiency rating of A (The scale runs from A-G with A being the most efficient). The Indesit also gets an A for its drying performance and an A rating for its cleaning performance. It dries through residual heat so doesn’t heat air which improves its efficiency. Its energy consumption is given as 1.05 kWh/cycle. The water consumption is approximately 18 litres per cycle
There are 5 programmes to choose from which is adequate. The choices are between

Review of Indesit WD 12 X by
timhearn10
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Its Broken
...After 18 months my WD12X Indesit washing machine gave up the ghost, a repairman came, took one look at it, and said, it's an Indesit, they're always going wrong, it's not worth repairing. Searching on the web rapidly confirmed that indeed Indesit washing machines are always going wrong. To add insult to injury, my Indesit cooker (also 18 months old) went wrong the same week, which cost £60 to repair, and my Indesit diswasher is giving me cause for concern too. Indesit offered the usual fob off excuses you would expect, and in short showed no concern for the fact their machines break down so shortly after the guarantee expires. My advice, avoid Indesit like the bubonic plague, their machines are a waste of money....

The pot washer turned me on.
Review of Indesit D63 A FS by
MandyMinx
Advantages: Really good value
Disadvantages: Doesn't look good as good as my hubby does in a pinny
...'s off the list now.Off the list and into my kitchen.
My darling husband, the love of my life, has bought me the Indesit D63 Dishwasher. He says that it is ' to make life easier for me ', but I actually think he is sick of hearing the children complain over who washes and who dries.
So here I am ,smiling like a proud new parent , as I talk to you now about the new addition to our humble household.
I have had my dishwasher now for about four weeks.I have tested and tried it, poked and prodded it and now I am ready to report my findings back to you.
The indesit D63 I purchased is 85 cm high, 60cm wide and 60cm deep.I know that probebly doesn't tell you much without a tape measure, but I can tell you that this means that it fitted beautifully under the worktop in my kitchen and is the same size as my fridge which I think is a standard...

Did the earth move for you darling?
Review of Indesit WD10 by
pixie65
Advantages: reliable and just keeps going
Disadvantages: none
...Indesit WD10
Freestanding Washing Machine
Front loader
Energy Efficiency B
Max Capacity 5kg
Spin Speed 1000rpm
Width 60cm
I have had this machine for over 6 years and it was only £279 in the sales, from our local co-op stores so had a good amount of customer loyalty points in with the bargain price. During the whole time I have had this machine, it has never broken down, needed new parts or leaked in any way.
However, the time has come to say good-bye. My poor little life saver has had enough and is trying to escape out the kitchen door every time it starts to spin. I can't blame it really. In the past 6 years, it has been on at least once a day for pretty much every day.
This little washer has not only helped me wash the clothing of my 3 kids, but also the many visitors and their children who I have helped look after...

value for money
Review of Indesit WD10 by
daverobzippy
Advantages: price, wash quality
Disadvantages: poor drying capabilities
...The indesit wd10. We have owned this machine now for six years. buying it in 2001 for just short of 300. This machine has never let us down once, in this time. for the price paid this has represented outstanding value for money. however the drying capability of this machine is very limited although in fairness indesit do not try and hide the drying capacity. the clothes and the machine just seem to get very hot without efficiently drying. and if you try to dry the full wash load needless to say you will get a shock when your electricity bill arrives. the wash quality is great there is as is the norm a daily / quick wash function right through to the boil wash. have since bought a seperate dryer to compliment this but would have no hesitation in buying another indesit washing machine. I cannot comment on indesit customer service as i have...

Seems like a good buy
Review of Zanussi ZWF1421W by
Loreli
Advantages: quiet, washes clothes
Disadvantages: standard 40 degree 6kg wash very long at 2.5hrs
...My Indesit died and after researching on the net I decided upon the 1421. I was dithering between that at 1400 spin and 1200 spin.
Delivered free from John Lewis direct - an excellent service, they offer a two year guarentee instead of the usual one year.
Easy to install
Cold fill only
Dimensions
85cm h x 60cm w x 62.5 d
Max Load Capacity
cotton linen - 6kg, synthestics 2.5kg,n delicates 2.5kg, miniprogram/wool/handwash 2kg
Energy 1.14 kWh
More about programmes
Some of the programmes are long but the manual gives you a guide to times and you can use features like half load, daily wash to shorten the time.
For example - using the manual as my guide
The 95 degree whites is around 150 mins (2.5 hrs)
The 60 degree whites economy is around 155 mins 2.5hrs), can take the full 6kg load and full 1400 spin.
The 40 degree...

Avoid this product like the plague
Review of Indesit WIE 147 Evolution by
jonathanfarr
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Very poor reliability
...This is my personal exerience of this product so beware.
We have always had indesit washing machines in our family, the last one lasted over 20 years! Therefore, we decided to buy indesit again. BAD MISTAKE. THIS WACHINE MACHINE WENT WRONG IN A MATTER OF MONTHS. The engineer came out and replaced the main circuit board and chip and it worked - until the same fault developed again a month later. Again another new board and chip and a new motor as well! Just after the guarantee expired, guess what, It went wrong again with the same problem. By this point we were so fed up, we told Indesit where to go. Even the engineer from Hotpoint Indesit said he doesn't buy there products because they are so unreliable. I wish I had checked the Which magazine first. Indesit score very poorly in Which for reliabilty and now I know why.
My...

No more washing up!
Review of Bosch SGS43C12 by
Madge11
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: none? Couldn't think of any
...Our last dishwasher was an Indesit. We'd had it for over 10 years and it had been repaired numerous times. When it decided to play up about a year ago, I called in our local repair man again. He decreed that to repair it would cost almost as much as a new one, (he's a really good guy!) and thus signed its' death warrant. I asked him which make he would recommend: Bosch was his immediate answer.
We picked this model mainly because of the price, because it is AAB rated and had all the features we would need. It uses only 14 litres of water for a full wash, so not only is this a bonus for the enviroment in these days of water shortage, we have a water meter so it would benefit us personally.
It's a freestanding dishwasher, 60cm w and holding 12 place settings.
It has three programmes:
normal 65 deg - for a full dirty load
eco 50...
