...After a faultless 4 years of motoring with a Felicia I decided it was time for something bigger for the growing family.Naturally enough I decided on an OCTAVIA GLXi 1.6.I got the car through an import broker in Northern Ireland who obtained it for me from Southern Ireland with immediate delivery saving me a whopping £3300.From the outset the car has given me nothing but faultless performance and comfort.Not only that but 38mpg on a run.Even better I have obtained a grant from POWERSHIFT of 60% of the cost to convert the car to run on gas.With gas only 40p per litre it is even better value.All in all a very good buy.... If you buy shares on the stock market and do so with the intention of receiving a certificate for the purchase then you should be aware that it not produced by the stockbroker who is in the same position as the purchaser - awaiting delivery from the registrar after the transfer relating to the purchase has been registered. If the purchase relates to a company registered in Ireland it is possible that the issue of the certificate would take even longer and no matter how many times the broker approaches the registrar, it will not speed up the process. The transfer goes through many stages before a certificate is produced and although as a shareholder you have the right to expect quick delivery, it is not always possible.... Read review

...I work for a small company in Northern Ireland who have recently been ordering quite a few computers and other pieces of hardware. I found Dell to have the best overall prices for their good quality pcs and servers with very configurable options. Their sales staff were very knowledgable about their products and the service was very good. I have only had a couple of reasons to phone customer support and have found them extremely helpful. Mind you I now have a faulty DAT tape drive, so that will be the tester! My only real gripe so far, was that I tried to arrange an appropriate delivery date and they made a mess of that! I can forgive them for that though!!! Recommend them thoroughly!!... Read review

...Us Northern Irish people are at a disadvantage - should we fancy a day out at Ikea we cannot simply jump into the car and head off, no sir - it all takes planning. Book the boat, book accomodation and clear the old credit card! Ive been to 2 IKEA stores Newcastle and Warrington and come April l will have enjoyed the Edinburgh Shopping Experience also. Personally l love IKEA - l love the impluse buys, the fact that furniture is soo cheap, for those starting out in their first homes IKEA is a god send. What l hate is the way we in Northern Ireland are disadvantaged - for example should l wish to purchase a suite of furniture or anything requiring deliverly, l would have to make my own delivery arrangements. ...For friendly people, culture, beautiful scenery and mighty 'craic' Ireland is the place to be. For residents of Great Britain Ireland is easily accessible by via a short ferry crossing or around an hour (or less) by plane. Although the country has a reputation for being expensive this is no longer really true. The current exchange rates mean that for every pound sterling you can get an extra twenty or so pence in Irish money, so any price differences are compensated for. Many items are far cheaper, and in particular petrol is almost half the UK price. The greatest thing about a visit to Ireland is the friendliness of the people. You are completly overwhelmed by the welcome that you recieve in every pub, shop, hotel etc. and even when driving along the road people will stop and wave. ...WOW what can I say. Having been on a massive hunt for a foundtion for my sisters wedding we stumbled across vurgin vie. With no shops in northern Ireland we had a consultant visit. The fondation comes in a compact that is handbag sized and I have to say pretty robust - many have been smashed all over my handbag before. With a seperate compartment for the application sponge it keeps the natural oil from your skin which ends up on the sponge away from the compact (if its next to the foundation it causes the hard bits that occur). The foundation its self goes on like a dream, very evenly with minimum effort. And for someone which naturaly oily skin it has great staying power (any one with oily skin will know how easily make up can slide off). Although it is slightly expensive it does last a good few months and in my opinion is wirth... Read review

...As a food lover I am keen to explore the food sites on the web, I came across this one as it was offering a competition - another hobby. The company is based in Northern Ireland but offers food products from around the world. The selection is very tempting and they give good product descriptions on their site. Some of my favourite foods come from the US and they have something for most people here. The site is easy to navigate with a menu window on the left hand side, the products are divided into useful sections and they have a 'new' section for things just arrived. If you know what you are looking for then you can use the search engine to take you there, but it's great fun just to browse around. Delivey is ussually within a few days and there is a fixed delivery charge for orders under £65, over that and it's free. I've found... Read review

...I've had problems with Littlewoods before in 2005 where a chest of drawers was delivered which couldn't be assembled (problems with the way certain holes were drilled). It took Littlewoods nearly 3 months to collect the item, and then, rather than reimburse me £70, they kept adding the amount to the bill until I supposedly owed them £210. It took 4 phone call to sort it and months and months of aggro. We now live in the West of Ireland and Littlewoods have started dealing over here. I placed an order with them for nearly EUR 900 for various items of furniture. After 2 weeks of no reply, I called them yesterday, only to find out that my order had been rejected because I had exceeded my credit limit of EUR 350. I pointed out that I was happy to pay by Credit Card or any other means, but Littlewoods are unable and incapable of accepting... Read review
