Gorringe Soft Cord Jodhpurs
Review of Gorringe Jodphurs by
LorraineHill
Advantages: Nice and comfortable
Disadvantages: Not made to last
...Several years ago I bought a pair of Caldene heavy cord jodhpurs and it had finally come to the time to replace them.
As my local saddlery shop didn't stock Caldene and it was summer I purchased two pairs of lightweight Gorringe cord jodhpurs in different colours.
For a short while I was delighted as the Gorringe soft cord jodhpurs were much more comfortable in the summer heat than the Caldene heavyweight jodhpurs.
However, my delight didn't last long as the jodhpurs soon showed signs of sagging (and yes it was definitely the jodhpurs sagging and not my bum and legs!) and they lost their elasticity.
Shortly after worn patches developed around the bum and inside leg of the jodhpurs and it wasn't long before these worn patches developed into holes.
In short, the Gorringe lightweight cord jodhpurs are a nice pair of jodhpurs...

Well Comfy!!!
Review of Cotton Naturals Jodhpurs by
SecretFormula
Advantages: summer and winter wear
Disadvantages: none
...The Cotton Naturals range of jodhpurs have to be by far the most comfortable pair of jodhpurs I have owned.
These exceptionally high quality jodhpurs are soft to the touch and great for both summer and winter wear as I find they keep me warm in winter but cool in the summer!!!! Fantastic!!!
They come in a wide range of colours including Burgundy, Navy and Beige. They have an elasticated stirrup on the bottom which is excellent if you wear jodhpur boots as the stirrup fits underneath and you don't need joddy clips!!!!
I have the bottom and fly with belt loops version priced at around £40, but they do sell a pull on, like leggings, version at about £25....

Make mine pink
Review of Joules Jodhpurs by
danielalong
Advantages: Hardwearing jodphurs in a range of colours
Disadvantages: none
...Make mine pink
About a year ago, Little Miss took up horse riding and having bought the hat, it became imperative that we bought the jodhpurs; so began the search
**OUR QUEST**
We had to take a few things into consideration when buying jodhpurs.
From my point of view, they had to be serviceable, hard wearing, warm and comfortable.
As far as little miss was concerned, as long as they were pink, she was happy.
Most of the jodhpurs we found looked uncomfortable around the waist- we expect a tummy at the age of not quite five, so the issue was the waistband. If the waistband was adjustable or elasticated then the material was scratchy.
After a dedicated search, we found these in a shop selling (obviously enough) horse riding equipment and clothes.
**THE JODPHURS**
Of course we bought the pink ones, called Winter Rose.
They are soft...

Great Boots!
Review of Loveson Boots by
LorraineHill
Advantages: Comfy!
Disadvantages: None
...If looking for a pair of Jodhpur boots I can highly recommend Loveson's range. Unlike a lot of other brands they are squarer around the toes resulting in a very comfortable fit - plenty of room for toes which means they are comfortable from day one and need no "wearing in". They are easy to get on and off - other brands I have tried have needed much wriggling and squeezing to get on and off!
They are extremely comfortable, excellent value for money and long lasting. In fact I only had to replace my last pair after several years because my puppy chewed them!...

it really is a snug blouson
Review of Musto Snug Blouson by
hhuk
Advantages: snug, good range of colours, good fit
Disadvantages: quite pricy,
...Expect to pay around £100 for this coat. I used to sail but now my time is spent mostly riding and looking after horses and i adore my SNUG blouson! Apart from being very fashionable in both sailing and riding the coat is extremely warm for both sports. The coat is only showerproof so not much use on extremely rainy days however, it is windproof and does an excellent job. The coat comes in several colours and also available with inner lining colour and outershell combinations. I practically live in my coat as it looks good with jeans, jodhpurs and i have been spotted wearing this with denim skirts..... i think that this is the best blouson around and is well made and of course has musto's reputation of excellent products to support it....

www.hyperdrug.com - online pet pharmacy
Review of hyperdrug.com by
Clara
Advantages: Drugs for your dog (or cat) without a prescription
Disadvantages: Doesn't have the vet's expertise
...a few sites from the comfort of my living room, I settled on hyperdrug, who offered 6 pipettes of 'large dog' (20-40kg) frontline for £23.30 including P&P, which looked to be the cheapest.
Hyperdrug don't just sell Frontline, they have all sorts of drugs and animal care goodies, mostly for the dog, cat or horse in your life. There's all sorts of stuff on there from healthcare to bedding to collars to jodhpurs to lambing accessories, which I don't think I'll be needing!
For the Frontline fans among you - there are 3 and 6 dose packs available for all sizes of dog, and cats - rather than listing all the prices here I'll recommend you click over to the website. Then you can pop the pack you need in your shopping basket, add in some bank card details, and job done!
I got emails from the company telling me that my order had been received...

One of the Greatest Timeless Classics
Review of Mughal-E-Azam DVD by
kiran8
Advantages: Visually beautiful, meticulous to the last detail
Disadvantages: none at all
...,Magnificent music and at the centre of it all ,the other worldly beauty of MADHUBALA, the venus of Hindi cinema...
K. ASIF, the director was a possessed man until he completed the film aftet 12 long years...He was a perfectionist to the core, never wanting to compromise on details.....He waited patiently for 2 years before he could get the permission to shoot the court scenes in the palace hall of Jodhpur rather than shoot it in a studio set.
STORY
Set in the 16th Century AD , while the Mughals ruled India, it is a tale of the doomed love affair between PRINCE SALIM(DILIP KUMAR), Son of Emperor AKBAR(PRITVIRAJ KAPOOR) and ANARKALI (MADHUBALA) the Beautiful, ill fated court dancer....the intensity of this affair perpetrates a war between the Prince and his Father ...

Darjeeling & Hotel Capital
Review of Darjeeling (India) by
kazzakay8019
Advantages: Beautiful, breathtaking, lovely people, cheap - a little bit different
Disadvantages: None
...In the beginning...
I took off with my boyfriend and met up with two friends from NZ in February and we did a 4 week tour of India. Wow what a country!
We arrived in Delhi and from there headed off into the deserts of Rajasthan, travelling through Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jasailmer, Agra and Varanasi. We were all eager to fit in as much as we could in such a short time so we decided to end our trip on a mammoth train journey to New Jailpuri (NJP) followed by a taxi ride to Darjeeling, okay let me think who's idea was that?!?
Darjeeling
After the deserts of Rajasthan Darjeeling felt like a small heaven on earth. Darjeeling is nestled up high in the Himalyas surrounded by mountainous scenery with beautiful crisp clean air and some of the most lovely, friendly people you'll meet in India. I must say (although I'm sure my boyfriend...

The long and the short of it.
Review of Loveson Boots by
spottydog2
Advantages: Nice lining and looked smart.
Disadvantages: Lining didn`t last long.
...to have lasted longer. It was worth paying more than for other rubber riding boots as they were much more smart and versatile. Obviously they were not as smart as leather boots but were a fraction of the cost. When I eventually did throw them away I did not replace them with the same. I bought loveson short leather jodhpur boots which I was pleased with.
There are pros and cons to having short and long boots. What I tend to do now is walk around the yard in my short boots, muck and and then when I ride just put on my chaps with the short boots. I prefer to ride in separate boots and chaps or gaiters as they are less restrictive, easier to put your heel down. I have leather boots and gaiters for shows, they look like long leather boots and they are very smart. I do not regret buying the Loveson PVC leather look boots as they did me...
