...The only thing I knew about JVC is that it used to be the sponsor of Arsenal FC. I recently purchased a 14 inc television model C-JT14. The colour is silver and comes with a 12 month guarantee.This TV is over priced at £200 and does not come with many features. Theres no teletext and it is not a digital version. This TV though is very reliable and the picture is crystal clear. I purchased this from Dixons and although the staff were not very friendly I knew what I wanted and went for it! Overall not a too bad TV but cheeper makes i.e Panasonic/Sony seem to have more features and can be better quality.... Read review

...When my husband was looking for a new digital camcorder he was at a loss where to look, so we searched the website and found the JVC DVL 9200. It does everything for you but wash the dishes. As we are into family movie making in a big way we were delighted to find that we would download our film on to the computer, using a fire wire port, edit it and then save it to a cd. This camera is ideal for this as the film you get is clear and the sound is brilliant. However after a few goes we then discovered that with a different JVC model, DVL 9800 with DV input and output we could then render the film back to the camera and make copies on the VCR. This model is Slighty upmarket and has a built in Card to save still photos. Both cameras capture still shots and are equally good for movie making both CD and VCR copies.... Read review

Advantages: Stunning Sound and User Friendly

...We had this JVC KDSH 77 player installed in our car ( ALFA Romeo147) by Halfords about 18 mths ago. I must say the sound was absolutely brilliant through the cars own fitted speakers ( Sony x 8 ) and for a while we were extremely happy with all the features on this machine. It played all our CD/Rws, had a very simple to use tuner,with plenty of power,looked great,was user friendly and fitted in the dashboard perfectly. No problem there I hear you say . However....Unfortunately. True to form as has been proved with many JVC car audio / music systems before. The 12 month guarantee was up and within a couple of weeks almost to the day. Guess what ?? It packed in. ( Error Message on Screen ) Went back to Halfords...Not our problem, Sir... Our 12 month warranty is just up, any problems in the last twelve months, ..Sir ??.... Sorry... Read review

...I have recently bought a JVC compact VHS digital camcorder, model number GR-AX201. I bought this particular item as I am well into computers and wanted to try messing around with the various digital features. My wife also want a digital camera. This camcorder can take still snapshots, comes with many editing features for the experienced user and is so easy to use for the less experienced. It comes with an excellant picture stabalizer, very quick auto focus and an integrated auto light for use when the natural light is too dim. It has many other features which I could give however the one I like is the way I can just remove the film, place it into the cassette adapter ( basically a video tape ), and then watch it immediately like a video. ...OK, so I bought a Sharp 701 back when in '98 back when MD's were fairly new. Few months later, it broke. So I get a Sharp 721. That breaks too. The next replacement is the JVC XM-R70. What a difference! First plus point is that I don't know anyone who has one, so it's distinctive. Second, for a recordable machine, it's tiny. Third, it looks cool, sound quality is amazing, and you could leap off a building and it wouldn't jog. The controls are fairly good, although the jog controls are a bit fiddly, and it's easy to press them at the wrong time. Something I do find annoying is that rewinding and fast forwarding takes about a second to start going. It came with all the extra bits I needed, such as an optical link and extra battery pack, but no connector for a hi-fi system. All in all, a good player for the £180 I paid two years ago... ...I recently purchased a region 1 DVD from America but was unable to play it on my JVC player as it was region 2. After many hours of trawling the net looking for access codes I eventually decided it was a lot less hassle to buy a multiregion player-another £150 I thought. How wrong could I be? For under £35 with free P+P I decided on probably the cheapest Multiregion DVD player around. When it arrived I couldn't believe how thin it was compared to my JVC, under two inches wide with a nice chrome style drawer. The general appearance of the XL2 puts my JVC to shame, with an array of playback features including DVD R, DVD RW, VCD, SVCD, JPG-CD, MP3, CD, CD-R and CD-RW to mention a few. The picture and sound quality are excellent and they even give you the batterys for the remote and a scart lead. So if you want a quality multiregion DVD... Read review

...Digital Sound Direct are probably OK if you are lucky enough to buy a product in working condition. I was given a car stereo for Christmas ordered from these people and it took me a few weeks before I got around to fitting it. When I did I found the product was faulty. With any reputable retailer the response would be to replace the goods but not with this outfit. First they referred me to some repair agent for JVC. When I pointed out that this was a new product that was faulty they told me to sent the product back (at my own expense) and then they sent it to JVC and I had to sit about for 3-4 weeks until JVC replaced the unit. Finally I was told I was getting a new unit and had to pay £10 carriage charges. I protested loudly and they 'let me off' with £6. I would never buy anything from these people again, and given the excellent... Read review
