...When you think Sony Ericsson and Phone, you just have a picture of an expensive walkman thing that's just hyped up. Not with the K550i! It is now quite cheap to pick up and to be honest, it's not much far behind newer phones. The K550i is an upgrade to the incredibly popular K500i and it's just so much better! The camera isn't awesome at 2MP but ample, but that's only half the story. This phone takes some stunning pictures which when first viewed you won't be able to tell that it has been taken with only a 2mp camera. The video is equally impressive. In fact, both the camera and video are much better quality than many supposedly better and more expensive phones. And then there's the music player which as expected is of top sound quality. 64MB internal memory isn't going to store more than 1 album at most but the compatibility... Read review

...The sony ericsson K550i cyber-shot is a good phone as takes good pictures and videos easy to use e.g to text, call, play music, play games e.t.c . My k550i worked perfectly for about a month the the no.4 button started to not work that well example: when i exted some one whe i pushed that button it would'nt do anything. i have this phone for about 10 months now and now the scree n keeps going blank for about 20 secounds for no reason also when i call someone or someone calls me the phone justs goes dead and stops the convosation. so i fink this phone isnt very good but that is my opinion u might disagree with me also it might just be my phone that is rubish not the others. So thank you for reading this review also this phone looks really good feels really good and is an alright size but i would like to have a slightly slimmer phone.... Read review

This time, fed up of buying I decided to go on contract, and after looking through the selection on the Virgin website decided on this little beauty which was free on my 12 month contract. Look & Feel ---------------- The first thing that attracted me to this phone was its cute little looks. Black casing with a large screen and tiny little silver buttons. The blue backlight caught my eye too. Its small compact size was also a bonus as you don't want an unsightly bulge when carrying it about in your pocket and it also means I can hide it well in work! ...Not only is this a very good looking phone but it has some great features. The phone is fairly slim and is not too heavy or bulky to carry around with you. Although the camera is not the best you can get on the market, it is still very good and images are of a decent quality. The video is also a good feature, you can even zoom in or out while using the video. Although this only comes with one game, Puzzle Slider (not great..) you can always download games and other stuff on the Sony Ericsson website,some things are free! I have had trouble trying to set up email and picture messaging on my phone,this is more to do with the fact I haven't received anything from O2 (I got it from the carphone warehouse - it is not i-mode) One of the best features of this phone is that it has an FM radio. ...The Sony Ericsson K550i is one of a number of new phones that Sony Ericsson have just recently released. It is a Cyber-shot phone meaning that it is and an ideal mobile phone for taking pictures with. The Sony Ericsson K550i is an extremely stylish phone and it will look great wherever you take it. Weighing in at just 85 grams the phone is very light and it won't weigh you down or be a burden to carry round all day. The Mobile has a nice feel to it as it is solid, light and compact making it ideal to carry in your hand. The K550i is 14mm in depth making it slim, 102mm in height and 46mm in width making the phone fairly small. ...I received this phone as part of a new mobile phone contract a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it. I used to own a Sony Ericsson a few years ago, but switched to a Samsung due to its sleek looks, but I am very happy to return, as the Sony is so much easier to use. The first thing you notice about the phone when picking it up is its light weight and large screen, perfect for taking photo with the 2 megapixel camera. Mine came in black with silver buttons and looks great, albeit not as sleek at the some of the slide-down phones lke the Samsung E900 or the LG Chocolate. ...is a camera button on the side of the phone, however this is not very responsive so using the navigation button is easier. Picture quality is amazingly clear on outdoor photos (actually comparable to those of an ctual camera), however...pictures taken indoors are not as good and come out grainy on many shots, even when using the integrated flash. Overall though it is very good in comparison with other camera phones. However Sony's older model, the K750i, is known to have a better camera than this. Ease of use: My favourite thing about this phone is the speed, menus open instantly, and even picture thumbnails can be flicked through at a good speed. There are no "load times" as such. Processing/Quality= This phone is not very slow to use, in fact as soon as you click on the phone pad your phone responds very quickly to your commands and does the command almost instantly. In some very rare times your phone may freeze on some occasions for example i.e, I WAS FIDDLING AROUND WITH MY PHONE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY PHONE FROZE AND I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, I HAD TO RESTART MY PHONE AND WAIT UNTIL I COULD USE IT AGAIN. I must remind you that this was only on 2 rare occasions which i pressed too many buttons. ...and stay really still) and that it doesn´t have the possibility to personalize some details concerning vibrating alerts (not big deal but I personally like to set it on for calls but not for alarms for example and this cannot be done with this phone).
