Kenwood Mini Chopper
Review of Kenwood CH100 Mini Chopper by
lallofrall
Advantages: Very Handy, Small, Dishwasher Safe, Practical
Disadvantages: Noisy, Not to Be Extensively Used At One Time
...The kenwood mini chopper is a great mini food processor! It does the job of a food processor but it is a lot smaller so it is more convenient to use in a domestic household! It can pretty much cut through anything with ease and is completely safe it that respect, there is no risk of small children disambiguating themselves due to finger insertion! The chopping blades will only engage once the lid has been clicked into place, this activates the security latch; thus providing absolutely no method of children hurting themselves! If you don't put in enough of whatever you are chopping, it has a habit of giving it one blow and everything gets splatted to the side as there is not enough in there! (Particularly with fruit) Another problem is it can be quite hard to clean out as the blades are very sharp!!! The Kenwood Mini Chopper is also safe...

Kenwood Mini Chopper
Review of Kenwood Mini Chopper by
anjib
Advantages: small, easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't take up much room. Powerful chopping action for its size
Disadvantages: no good if you want to do huge amounts all in one go.
...When my son was weaning, I wasn't one for gadgets, I made him my own meals, and tended to mush everything with a fork, which can be hard going when you want a very smooth meal.
After moving house, and having a bigger kitchen, I do a lot more cooking (I love it). I wanted to buy a small chopper that I could use for making breadcrumbs, chopping nuts, herbs etc. I only wanted a small appliance.
I had a look around and I found the Kenwood in Boots. It had 20% off too, which is great. I know the reduction was held at least until Christmas 2000.
I have used it for breadcrumbs, vegetables, chopping onions, herbs, nuts for my cakes and grinding down sugar.
This is one gadget that would have been brilliant when weaning my little boy. Chopping all his fruit and vegetables would have been easy.
The chopper consists of a small...

I have a little chopper
Review of Kenwood CH100 Mini Chopper by
damaj
Advantages: Small easy to use and clean
Disadvantages: Not idela for Large Dinner party catering, etc.,
...Actually it is the Kenwood Mini Chopper but that was not quite so catchy.
The Kenwood Mini Chopper is one of the handiest gadgets in my kitchen (and I love gadgets).
The marketing blurb says that it is useful for chopping nuts, meat and fish, blending fruit and cooked vegetables and making mayonnaise.
However, I would recommend it to anyone who likes to experiment in the kitchen, and this is why.
I make a lot of Continental dishes based around Filo pastry, cheese and or meat, and I find that this little gadget is ideal for testing quantities and mixtures for flavour and effect.
Also, when mixing herbs for background flavour I can test quantities of Coriander, Basil, Oregano and garlic to make sure that they bind together and do not overpower. And, as it holdsaround six fluid ounces of liquid it is the quickest way to...

Chop chop away
Review of Kenwood CH100 Mini Chopper by
Honeybun
Advantages: all of the above
Disadvantages: maybe not suitable for ice cubes. Not for large amounts
...After struggling for years with a food processor, just to process small amounts, I finally gave in and bought a tiny Kenwood Chopper. I don't have a lot of people to cook for, but I do like to experiment in the kitchen, so this is ideal.
I grow fresh herbs in the garden, and it is so easy to chop and then freeze them. One of the most common uses for me, is to make a home made fish pie. I process the herbs, then I use the chopper to also chop the breadcumbs (1-2 slices is enough) and also some cheese. If you put cheese in the chopper, it comes out in little round bits - lovely for toppings.
My niece like Slush puppies, and I keep ice pops in the freezer. I put them frozen in the chopper and they come out like bits of ice. I add a bit of juice and we have a slush. I have not dared put ice cubes in as these are much harder...

American Chopper- Bikes at their best.
Review of American Chopper - The Series - Parts 4 to 6 DVD by
piggypine
Advantages: Reality t.v at it's best. Watch the creation of custom bikes.
Disadvantages: If you dont like motorbikes it's not for you.
...Ive always loved motorbikes (I know I dont look the type) despite the fact Ive never been on one and certainly wouldnt be brave enough to learn to ride, so when I stumbled on the American Chopper series on the discovery channel I was immediately hooked, I think the combination of the amazing creativity and design of the bikes combined with the sometimes hilarious warring between the family has kept me addicted to the show.
However since moving into my own home and being unable to afford the luxuries of sky tv I am limited to watching the series on dvd (I do have the first set in the series and will review it as soon as I can find it!)
The series is set at Orange County Choppers, owned by Paul Teutal Senior, a motorcycle company specialising in Chopper motorcycles and custom designs. We follow the crew which includes Paul Sr, his...

Chopper, Eric Bana (DVD)
Review of Chopper DVD by
RED_WINE
Advantages: Great Australian Film,
Disadvantages: Violence may offend some.
...No reviews for Chopper ?
Can't believe no one on Ciao has reviewed this classic Australian film Chopper yet, so it looks like I will be the first to do so.
Chopper (DVD)
Chopper is based on a true story about a notorious Australian criminal called 'Mark Chopper Read' who allegedly committed nineteen vicious murders and got away with it and surprisingly enough he wrote his autobiography whilst in jail which became a best selling book called 'From the Inside'.
The film starts off very quickly, realistically and violently with 'Mark Chopper Read' played by Eric Bana (who I must say plays the part magnificently) serving one of his many prison sentences and it's not long before you see the wicked sense of humour he has and his dodgy mates. Chopper has a mixture of violence and humour and at times very funny indeed but it will not...

Mark 'Chopper' Read
Review of Chopper (Wide Screen) by
Phelthew
Advantages: Fantastic film, great directing
Disadvantages: I dunno, you tell me
...Mark 'Chopper' Read maybe little known in the UK and Ireland but he's something of folk hero in Australia. He's spent almost all his adult life in prison and when outside he only finds a way to get back in again. A best selling author, this film is an attempt to convey the man through film to the world based on his books which are loosely based on his life as he is famous for saying 'Don't let the truth get in the way of a good yarn.'
The film starts and he is in prison for kidnapping a judge in a bid to have his friend Jimmy Loughnan found innocent (Good plan). Chopper is in a power struggle within the prison though. There's a hierarchy of tough nuts and Chopper is one from the top. However, by climbing the ladder of prison 'success' Chopper has made quite a few enemies and there's a price on his head in the prison. This leads to one...

The Return of the CHOPPER!
Review of Raleigh Chopper by
Bronze224
Advantages: Retro Chic beyond compare!
Disadvantages: Erm...........................
...Omigod, where to begin??? Having begged ciao to add the new Chopper to their product listing, FINALLY I get to review my best purchase of 2004 (and we're only half way through!!!!)
It all started way back when........in the early seventies some cool people decided it would be a good idea to make a bike for kids that was completely impractical but the HEIGHT of fashion, TA-DA....The Mark I Chopper! 'Ape-hanger' handle bars, one 'L' shaped seat and the coolest gear changer on the frame, you had ever seen! California Highway Patrol eat your heart out!
Then it was slightly 'tweaked' and re vamped a little several years later, as 'The Mark II Chopper' (no offence to Expert Chopper restorers but I can't see a huge difference between them!!!) These bikes were the joy of every child who was lucky enough to get their little mitts on them...

Super Chopper
Review of Moulinex Multitrio Mini Chopper by
tigletty
Advantages: Chops a variety of items. Value for money. Compact
Disadvantages: Only one speed available
...I originally bought this product after breaking my previous mini food processor and am delighted with it. I am not entirely sure as to whether to call it a chopper or a blender as the gadget performs both functions brilliantly.
The first thing that attracted to me to this product was the price. I was looking for a cheap and cheerful little chopper primarily to use to chop food finely to make soups and sauces for one or two people. The second thing that attracted me was the shape of chopper. It is a very groovy looking gadget and nice to have something with more colour than just white or grey!
I rarely use the blend or whip function/blade but it has been fine with whipping cream.
The chopper is amazing. Having broken my previous kitchen gadget I am always a little dubious of what these small choppers can cope with but this one has...

KENWOOD - THE COMPLETE ANTIDOTE TO WINDSOR CASTLE
Review of Kenwood House by
RICHADA
Advantages: Superb rural setting. Magnificent art collection. The stunning room shown above.
Disadvantages: Woefully small car park.
...no air conditioning, also our "out and about" budget had been fully used up earlier in the month showing my Polish in laws around, not least during the exorbitantly expensive visit to Windsor Castle that you have all been so kind to comment on!
What is there to do then in London, to put it crudely, that is cheap? Well, we do have our English Heritage cards and guide book with us, roughly drawing a line north to south through the centre of London AND avoiding the congestion charging zone, we are left with a choice of four properties to visit in the western half. A couple of these we had previously visited, the other, Coombe Conduit in Kingston, did not really look like a full day out, so, by default Kenwood House rather chose itself, apart from that my wife had liked the look of the house pictured in the guide book!
We had no trouble...
