thats the price you pay for turning pro
Review of HP Color LaserJet 4500n by
psrose78
Advantages: professional quality, hp warranty support, relative cost
Disadvantages: high initial outlay, not to everyones needs
...I first got my hands on a colour laser printer during my placement year (1998/1999) when I was busy enjoying - sorry, working, in Canada. It was the HP Colour LaserJet 4500N and it was by far and away the best printer I had ever used. Forget inkjets, they are great for day-to-day printing and as a student I was the proud owner of an inkjet, but this was in a different league altogether. And after glancing at the price tag, you would probably expect that, seeing as how this LaserJet is well over a grand more expensive than the premium inkjets that are available. But it wasn't my money, so I printed away on it, brochures, leaflets, flyers, flow charts, presentations, and all manner of colour material, and all of which looked fantastic.
In my first job after uni (which was the same company that I did my placement with - only the UK...

Does What It Says On The Box
Review of HP Color LaserJet 4500n by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Fast, good clour reproduction, user-friendly
Disadvantages: BIG. Hard to fit on a desk.
...HP COLOR LASERJET 4500
~ ~ The first thought in anyone’s mind when in the market for a printer should always be the purpose it is to be used for, followed closely by the reputation of the manufacturer.
~ ~ If you require speed and good clear colour then the HP ColourJet 4500 could be the one for you.
It comes backed by HP’s world-wide reputation for making high quality products, and would be especially useful for the person running a small business from home.
~ ~ You can’t get it up and running until you first install the software and drivers, and you must also fit and configure the ink tanks, but both tasks are relatively simple.
Follow the manufacturer’s clear instruction manual and you should be printing your first run within half an hour.
~ ~ This HP is EXTREMELY fast, giving you a completed...

High quality colour printing just got faster!
Review of HP Color LaserJet 2500n by
richard_richard
Advantages: High quality colour printing, fast response
Disadvantages: Cost of consumables
...The Hewlett Packard Laserjet 2500n is a colour laserjet printer designed for small and medium sized office applications.
After the problems we have had at my office with the slow printing speed of our HP Laserjet 4500, (if you’ve read my review on this printer, you’ll know what I mean!), the decision was taken to back up this printer with a second colour laser printer, albeit a slightly cheaper model.
After some research we decided that the HP 2500n model would be the best to go for. We wanted to stick with Hewlett Packard as all the other printers in the office are from this manufacturer and we have always been impressed with their quality and reliability.
This printer will retail for around £700-£750, depending on which supplier you use.
Specifications
The HP Laserjet 2500n has a decent list of specifications. Printing...

The ideal paper for colour laserjet printing...
Review of HP Soft Gloss Laser Paper - satin glossy paper by
richard_richard
Advantages: Print quality, reliability, good value for money
Disadvantages: None really...
...Hewlett Packard produce this soft gloss laser paper to work specifically with their colour laserjet series of printers.
At my workplace we use an HP 4500 colour laserjet and when we need to print off high quality photos or reports, this paper comes in very handy, due to the high quality of print that can be produced.
This paper is priced at around £15 per box, although it may be cheaper depending on which supplier you use.
Specs
The paper has a satin gloss finish to it. It is coated with this finish on both sides, which is very handy for producing documents with doubled sided print.
According to HP, the paper is finished with higher brightness, which should mean that greys and blacks are produced very clearly on the paper.
The weight of the paper is 100 g/m2, which means that it is reasonably thick, but still able...

HP LaserJet 6L, Discontinued Review
Review of HP LaserJet 6L by
mraouf101
Advantages: Compact Size, Durability, Speed
Disadvantages: HP Support, Discontinued...
...-- HP LaserJet 6L in brief…
This printer has been working with me from ages. I know it’s considered a bit old at the moment and the last time I logged to HP website, I found it was discontinued; however it’s a great printer with great functionalities.
I bough this printer about 4 years ago, when It was a hit in the market and hp was just offering it to the people, I think it was one of the most successful printers to the HP company. Anyway, I am writing this review to the people who liked to work with this printer as I suppose its hard to get one at the moment because its not for sale anymore, and also because there is new models that offer many vast and more functionalities than this printer with a reasonable price. And by the way my model type is C3990A (by the way it’s a black/white printer for those who don’t know).

Long-lasting laserjet
Review of HP LaserJet 6L by
Kukana
Advantages: excellent quality printing, reasonable speed, ease of use
Disadvantages: multi-feeding paper
...We bought our HP Laserjet 6l nearly six years ago. At a time when most of our computer-literate friends were buying colour desk-jet printers, we weighed up the kinds of things we wanted to print, and the cost, and decided that a black-only laser printer would actually meet our needs better.
• What we wanted it for •
We bought it shortly before Christmas, so that we could print our annual family newsletter on it. Six years ago, photocopying was quite pricey. Taking into account paper, cartridge usage and even a little for wear and tear, we calculated that a laser printer would produce double-sided pages for about a third of the cost of photocopying, meaning it would pay for itself over a few years. In addition we could choose to print exactly the number we needed, plus a few extra if necessary later on, rather than having...

A 10 for the HP Laserjet 1010
Review of HP LaserJet 1010 by
saphira
Advantages: very fast, 8mb memory
Disadvantages: quite big
...Ok so finally deciding to opt for a mono laser rather than another colour inkjet I decided to go online and shop for the newest and funkiest on teh market. I ended up at PCworld- being the kind of person I am, shopping online just isn't good enough sometimes when you want to touch and feel the product! After bending the poor ear of a very unsuspecting sales assisstant he recommended this one as it was the newest out. His other option was sumsung similar version in the same price bracket.. I have to say though the Samsung is prone to paper jams- and how do you know this? I hear you ask- well teh trusted sales assisstant had on at home ( as did his sales assisstant friend) and they both said although the Samsung is £10 cheaper it's jus not as good.
So here are the specs:

HP Laserjet 1200
Review of HP LaserJet 1200 by
dianeo3
Advantages: Reliable and compact
Disadvantages: Noisy
...I've had this printer for over two years and I've never had a problem with it- not even a paper jam! It was easy to install and is quite compact for a laserjet (415mmx486mmx253mm). The driver is included in Windows XP and it is basically just a matter of connecting the printer.
I ordered one for work first so that I could try it out before buying one for home. I have always been a fan of HP printers so I didn't look at any other brands. I chose this HP model because it was cheap enough for a home | | |
