Advantages: Free 0800
Disadvantages: Never gonna launch

...I signed up for this service November of last year. They were offering 0800 totally free of charge. They also said on their site that they were launching this year (1999). They then sent me an email saying they were worried about the overload of people using the service so they wouldn’t be launching until February 2000. I thought this was getting stupid. I waited until February, but no email, visited their site but there is no information on it and I am still waiting to this day. Not worth signing up as I doubt they will ever launch.... Read review

Disadvantages: a bit too american

...Imagine having a radio station that you can choose (by your rating) what is played. and you can change this according to your mood as well. Just rate as many songs as possible and the higher the rating the more frequent that song will be heard. You can give low rating or even choose never to hear a particular song, artist or album again. Customise your launch station to play songs from only certain genres depending on your mood. At Launch you can also write reviews on artists and albums and purchase music. Advantages: Pay rate of £1 an hour - only a spoof though
Disadvantages: Hasn't launched, probably won't ever launch

...How interesting, this would of proven the best 'paid to view adverts' program on the net if it ever launched - users would earn £1 per hour using the getpounds software the 'adticker' subject to viewing 100 adverts in that time. It seems now that the only reason the company were offering £1 an hour was to get many signups as the actual launch date was pushed from the 16th March 2001 to the 31 March 2001 but a few days ago instead of pushing the date forward a message stating that getpounds were having financial difficuilty and existing members will be emailed when they were back. So it will probably never launch, their software was made available a while back and signups were accepted before that. On launch, getpounds were going to enforce a 25 hour paid usage limit with their software meaning you can only earn £25 - there isn't one... Read review

...Offeron.com is another new site that tells you about various offers that manufacturers have etc. The site is fairly new and hasn't fully launched yet. There are details of some offers, but not many until the site launches in full. Basically though if you send an email through the site to tell someone else about it, you get entered into a prize draw to win a bottle of champagne. There are 20 winners drawn each week, and last week I was one of them! The site looks as though it will be fairly good when it has launched in full, but as many people haaven't heard of it yet it's a good time to visit and enter the prize draw as the odds are in your favour....
