...The Line 6 Spider is very simply the best emulation combo amp in the £400 range. It not only has a ton of on-board effects(which I will discuss later), but the sound quality that you get from this little 100W kicker is amazing. It has2x10" speakers, a footswitch input (footswitch/floorboard sold separately), and the usual inputs and sends. The effects on this are unparalleled. Usually on effects-based amps, the effect quality is second rate, but not here. It has a tape echo, flanger, delay, chorus, and many types of overdrive and distortion, all in 4 channels that featuring varying preset conditions. Disadvantages: The Instruction Manual Is Useless

...Before I start I will have to aware you of this if you go to buy the amp, the instruction manual is terrible. It made no sense whatsoever and trying to follow it was...not even possible. I had to find out how to use this amp through messing around with it, although it did not take too long. The great thing about the Line 6 Spider II amp is that it comes with a free footswitch and 4 programmable channels - this is great if you need to switch from clean to distortion or put an effect on. The amp comes with 12 pre-made amp settings and 8 effects - Chorus, Flanger, Reverb, Delay (the usual). The range of sounds you can get out of this amp are amazing, suitable for any style. .... Could it live up to the Prestige line I had grown fond of over the last 4 season? I had no need to worry!!!!!!! The XS is simply superb!!!! This is without a doubt the best floating line I have ever used. With this line I have added an extra 5-6 yards onto my cast with no extra effort. The line is supple and has a very, very smooth finish to it. The head of the line is very thin which lends itself perfectly to a delicate presentation of the fly. In fact, I would put this line up against a double taper any day for presentation. The belly of the line feels a little thicker than other lines, which seems strange at first but does not effect the presentation of the line at all. In fact it is this belly that enables the line to shoot effortlessly through the rod rings and gain those extra, sometimes critical, extra yards... Read review
