The Prince Charles ,londons best little cinema
Review of Prince Charles (London) by
harj123
Advantages: very cheap prices, wide selection of films
Disadvantages: not that comfy or clean
...The Prince Charles cinema is perhaps londons best little cinema. It has been around for ages and is hidden away in leicester Square against a backdrop of the more expensive cinemas.Prices are very cheap from four pounds a film to three pounds if you are member. There is a bar which provides decent drinks and popcorn at reasonable prices. The seating could be better and can be uncomfortable! The hall where the screen is also dips so if you can get a seat in the middle you will be better off.The screen is a decent size for such a small cinema and picture quality has always been good.
Fridays nights have been known to be events nights featuring rocky horror picture show and singalong sound of music. These are events worth a visit.Sometimes the cinema will show films on various themes like gangster, horror, comedy movies from various countries...

Prince Of Persia back with a bang
Review of Prince Of Persia 3: The Two Thrones (PS2) by
Damienkarl123
Advantages: Great Graphics as usual the combat is the same
Disadvantages: the graphics are beginning to show their age
...the levels.
But for those of you who enjoy all the combat, fear not. The combat engine is exactly the same as Warrior Within. The combo's are repetitive, and I found myself using the same two over and over, but they get the job done, and can get it done quickly for the most part. But the real aspect of combat lies within the Dark Prince. At various points throughout the game, you will transform into the Prince's alter ego, and your life will begin to drain. This means that you'll have to defeat enemies to keep refilling it. You do so with the Daggertail, which is essentially a chain covered in blades. It's pretty cool the first few times you use it, but towards the middle and end of the game, I found his segments to be a little too repetitive. He can also use the Daggertail as a grappling hook in some of his smaller platforming sequences. It...

My Prince!
Review of Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (PS2) by
tekin21
Advantages: Every level provides a new adventure, great graphics.
Disadvantages: Adictive, You will get hooked
...demo stages. Following this award there was a real drive to get the game into the market and as such a lot of the original intended features were dropped. The game was eventually released in late 2003.
The Game
The game is set in Persia (really!!) A young prince is on a mission to steal a dagger for his father. The game is set in a huge castle and opens with a war scene and from then on it appears that there are no other “real” people in the game – just the prince and a beautiful Indian looking girl called Farrah. The prince chases Farrah throughout the game, and a little love story unfolds as he protects her from the evil sand creatures that they meet along the way. The prince is quite a gymnast and performs some really interesting moves – he can run along or up walls, climb ropes and columns, balance along beams as well as being...

Good Gameplay for the Prince.
Review of Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (Wii) by
daftks
Advantages: good gameplay, relevant soundtrack, amazing graphics
Disadvantages: minor bugs, same as Gamecube
...as the normal prince, you will be faster with your dagger-tail, swinging from the wall lanterns and running around like there's no tomorrow before you lose your life as the Dark form of the Prince in certain parts of the game. If not, there will be beautifully stunning (60 frames per second guys, 60!) cut-scenes for those 1337s out there to totally drool on. There's plenty for you to do! What a manly ballerina he is. =)
The only thing I got annoyed about is sometimes how the Prince might just have missed the ledge or touched the rotating blade by a little then just falls and dies or at an area where you were uncertain of the dropping height and he dies from that. But that's about it.
Graphics / Sound
------------------------
Beautiful beautiful beautiful. 60 frames per second! I cannot stress that enough. (quite geeky =p) So beautiful. During...

Almost by accident; a history of Princes St
Review of Princes Street by
dobieg
Advantages: Handy for busses
Disadvantages: with the exception of Jenners, nothing special
...yourself in Edinburgh City Centre with a couple of hours to kill, then it provides a fairly safe environment, having the advantage of providing superb views of the castle and old town, for serious shopping, you'd be better going to the St James Centre at the east end of Princes Street, or Waverley centre, on the site of the old fruit market between the station and princes street, also at the east end.
Outwith the summer months, Princes Street can be a little uncomfortable, running on an east/west axis it offers little protection to the prevailing wind - again - consider the nearby shopping centres.
During the summer, it's overrun with tourists, many of which are adolescents from Southern Europe on language courses, who have still to discover the 'Joy of Soap'
Like many city centres, Princes Street has suffered from the 'out of town...

"Only children know what they are looking for"
Review of The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery by
tazzywazzy
Advantages: Remembering the truth
Disadvantages: Adults have forgotten the truth
...), which was published in 1939, however I am convinced that he was influence by his time in the desert whilst he was writing The Little Prince, he even met a desert fox whilst in the desert - a character from the book.
~Enough of this learning stuff - What's the book about?~
The book is told in a narrative style, the narrator crash lands in the middle of the Sahara desert, has a very badly damaged plane & very little food or water. Whilst assessing his situation, he is startled to hear a small voice & to his surprise, when he turns round he sees a small blonde boy, asking him to draw a picture of a sheep.
The two strike up a friendship and at first it seems that The Little Prince is not going to give much away, as he seems more interested in asking questions, than answering those put to him by the narrator. Slowly, as the book...

This Prince isn't Charming Enough
Review of The Prince & Me DVD by
afy9mab
Advantages: It's light, frothy and requires no brain-power
Disadvantages: Utterly forgettable
...very popular with its intended audience. Certainly such a film wouldn’t stand up to scrutiny by a by an older, more cynical audience because all of the ends are a little too neatly tied to be believable. The script is rather pedestrian, although there is one nice scene where Eddie asks Paige on a date, first in his very precise English and then in rude-boy jargon, complete with finger snapping. There is also a strange diversion into the world of lawn mower racing, which is easily as exciting as the opening car race.
Director Martha Coolidge has cooked up a very conventional fairytale, with no cliché left unused. The two main protagonists dislike each other at first, but eventually fall in love. Prince Edvard starts off as a spoiled little so-and-so, but through his experience as a commoner becomes a grounded and worthy king. Paige Morgan...

A Prince or a Pauper?
Review of Princes Noodles - Chicken Flavour by
thebattler
Advantages: Very much like Supernoodles but cheaper
Disadvantages: Very lardy and not as good as 9p noodles!
...mentioned they are pretty much equal with Super Noodles.
Even though these are Chicken Flavour noodles they are suitable for Vegetarians - odd concept, I imagine you might not fancy tasting chicken in this instance but at least you have the choice. The noodles contain wheat, Guar gum, and hydrogenated vegetable Oil to name just a few of the beasties lurking within! 'Super' noodles really do not have health written all over them! Fat values are a shockin | | |
