STEVE 0-1 MITRE SOCCER LITE BALL
Review of Mitre Soccer Lite Match Ball by
Phoenix7891
Advantages: GOOD SOLID BALL - STAYS IN THE AIR - BOUNCES WELL - TRUSTWORTHY BRAND
Disadvantages: TAKES A WHILE TO PUMP UP - WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO USE BARE FOOT
...want to do with a football.
It is a very durable ball as I think we had about 15 balls in total in training and they used to get bashed against railings, plucked out of hedges, ran over the odd few times and still be able to use them for training.
Mitre is a great brand and have produced some great footballs over the years with hardly any competition until the past few years when Adidas, Reebok, Nike and other well known brands have been manufacturing footballs used in competitions like the Premiership, La Liga & The Champions League.
I'm not really sure what else I can write about as its a football - you kick it so you get the jist of how it works ha!
If you have any questions or anything you want to know about the ball feel free to comment and I'll update this review....

Mitre Mismatch:
Review of Mitre Ultimax Ball by
DigitalThing
Advantages: Is The best you can get
Disadvantages: Expensive
...When you consider a leather football can cost as little as £5 from some of the budget Sports retailers, it may astound some of you to realise that the Mitre Ultimax Pro ball retails at £45!!!
Yes, you heard right. That is a big step up from the prices we pay. Yet the requirements of football may of us require is simply to be round and pumped up.
However, when you are at a sufficient level of play, balls do make a difference.
I count myself as a competent footballer who has found the game to lat in life to make a difference. Perhaps if I had found the passion I now have in my formative years, I could have gone on and done something. Anyway, back to the ball...
The reason I mad the last few statements was to prove I know the difference between a cheapo ball and a good one. A good ball must have tight seams, multiple panels and most...

For a life that's brighter, hit The Mitre.
Review of The Mitre by
wrowe
Advantages: Friendly, close to the river Cam, good food.
Disadvantages: No air conditioning.
...The Mitre is one of those pubs that is just, well, reliable. As one of the oldest pubs still standing in Cambridge, it has a long history of owners and functions (including a brewery and a pool hall!). But in more recent times, it's just been The Mitre: a typical English pub.
So it's no surprise that the locals worried when the place was given a facelift in 2001. There was talk that it had become a supposedly "trendy bar". But it's not. The walls may be lighter, but the dark wood furnishings and grand black fireplace still exist. The staff are still down to earth and the regulars still hang around.
Situated on Bridge Road, The Mitre is a short walk from the river Cam and its punt boats. On a sunny day, you can watch the passers-by with the sun shining in through the large front windows, but this can get hot during the warmer months...

The Murky Mitre of Manchester
Review of Mitre Hotel by
Beaker66
Advantages: Central location
Disadvantages: Rude receptionist
...available were coming cheap. As an arch capitalist who is a firm believer in the supply and demand philosophy I had no real objections to being charged over and above the normal rates though I was still against paying unnecessarily over the odds for just one night. The Britannia, for instance, a three star hotel close to Piccadilly in central Manchester where I had stayed on my previous visit, wanted around £100 for the night. A nice hotel the Britannia may be but cheap it certainly is not. I instructed Expedia to find me an available hotel rated three stars and above without specifying any specifics such as air conditioning and swimming facilities. It came up, amongst others, with the Mitre Hotel.
I was intrigued by the description given of this place. It was described as being central, having thirty-two rooms and listing such amenities...

Mitre or mitre not
Review of Mitre Duo Shield by
milesy19912007
Advantages: extensive protection to shins and ankles
Disadvantages: last seasons style, baulky and hardly a fashion statement.
...The good points about these shinpads are that with mitre you have peace of mind over the quality and durability, at a premium. These shinpads have ankle protectors which will help to protect your ankles from serious impact injuries, they will not however prevent twisted ankles etc. The good thing about them is that they are now relatively cheap and do provide you with good protection around £8 online.
However now to the bad side they only have a very simple design and are nothing flash, they weigh a relatively large amount compared to more modern counterparts around 0.4kg in size large. Where their addidas equivalents weigh just 0.26kg and believe it or not these slight variations can be the edge you need to get to the ball. Especially for the slower runner for whom i would advise to buy the lightest boots and shinpads. A good pair...

Homebase Mitre box and saw set
Review of Homebase Value Basic Mitre Box and Saw by
mumagain
Advantages: Good value, makes the job easier
Disadvantages: Comes with no clamps to hold wood in place
...Our DIY story
-------------
After painting our living room half and half we needed something to break up the two colours, but what? We didn't want yet another border in our house and a nice crisp line was a no go especially on an embossed wall paper.
Solution dado rail.
As per usual we went full steam ahead and made do with the tools we had to get the job done. Big mistake!
The first piece was quite easy using a wooden mitre box to cut the 45 degree angle and a saw but as to what type of saw it was, I have no idea, I think I will have to ask Handy Andy.
Piece of cake we thought that was until we had to cut a new angle right on the end of the dado rail for the next piece to slot in behind.
My husband did the sawing whilst I held it in place which proved difficult and after several pieces cut wrong and angles slightly...

Mitre Ultimatch
Review of Mitre Ultimatch Ball by
andy2512
Advantages: Quality, feel
Disadvantages: price
...I recently recieved this ball for my birthday about a year ago and I must say it is pretty much as good now as it was when I first got it. I mean I knew mitre made some quality balls but I had never really owned a quality one like this.
I have used this ball on pretty much all surfaces - from astro turf to indoor to normal grass and it seems to fair just as well in all of them. The outer part of the ball is extremely tough and a few misplaced shots into nearby bushes seem to have had no effect. I have even picked thorns out of it but the tough exterior has prevented these having any effect on the ball.
It is also pretty low maintenance in terms of how often you actually have to pump it up anyway.
The ball is a fairly top of the market one, costing around £40 in most shops now. This is because of the top quality though...
