...I had this monitor sent to me by Acer after my previous monitor, the AL1914 was deemed beyond repair. My first thoughts were of excitement as the 1951 was of a considderably higher spec than the old monitor. My excitement became a reality when I got the monitor set up. On opening the box, I found the monitor itself, the power supply, and both a VGA and DVI cable. The stand was already pre-fixed to the monitor and this also doubles up as a wall mounting bracket, should you wish to attach the monitor to the wall. On the back of the base there are sockets for the mains power supply, one for the VGA cable, one for the DVI cable and one for an audio feed, should you wish to make use of the monitors internal speaker. ...Well as things may be, this is my first time of using a lilliput monitor and I have seen that it is of the high quality type. The LCD monitor is capable of projecting high quality pictures and with bright colour display. The lillliput are the professional manufacturers of most TFT LCD monitors. Now lets come down to the monitor's capabilities and features. The monitor also comes with a touch screen technology and with a touch pen included, that is quite marvelous and interesting to use and on the other hand comes with a remote control wireless and with built in audio, which produces high quality and likable sound. The monitor also has English on screen display menu and with programmable auto on features. Well I got this some couple of moths ago and have not gotten any problem with it so far. However what's in the box: You get your monitor obviously, a vga cable (connects the monitor to the computer), an audio cable (connect the output on the computer to the monitor the monitor has speakers), and of course a power cable. You also get a manual, and warranty cards, although I never actually bothered with these, as it is pretty intuitive what you have to do, connect the cables up to the right slots that's all their is too it. The monitor is a marvel to behold (I know I'll properly get a barrage of comments telling me exactly why this monitor isn't a technological marvel but hey remember I've just gone from a CRT), the display is crisp with no dead pixels, and is a pleasure to use, in addition it auto adjusts, so that everything is in view, although convenient, this isn't really a deciding factor in buying... ...was compared to my previous CRT monitor. There are three easy to use control buttons on the back of the monitor. The bottom turns the monitor on (and off when held down for 3 seconds), it activates the OSD control menu and selects each function. There other two buttons are the "+" and "-" buttons which increase/decrease the volume (when using the internal audio which I have not used) and to move the function selector in the OSD menu either close wise or an anticlockwise direction. Although the screen is very bright initially, it is very easy to adjust the settings to adjust to your own sight. On the downside the monitor has one "dead" pixel, which is constantly green. As I'm not into gaming I don't find this a great problem but for someone who would use it more for playing games I wouldn't recommend this model. On a white background the pixel... Read review

...I bought myself a pair of RS6's for audio (not home theater). Upstream elements are a Cyrus 6s CD player and the Cyrus 8vs2 integrated amplifier. Let me say upfront that I have a peculiar room shape and the speakers have only done 30 hrs. First impressions are that they sound very good with lighter recordings i.e. jazz quartets / quintets; acoustic blues and folk; vocals. The output is natural, revealing revealing and detailed. However I was less than impressed for heavier recordings of rock and jazz. I find the highs a bit bright and the lows not well defined. I hear bass notes a bit too loose and lines blurry. Both main and inter connect cables are Cyrus. The speakers are bi-amped. Let's hope 200 hrs of break in works.... Read review

...I own a Musical Fidelity a3.5 Amp & Cd player and decided to upgrade my speakers to get the most out of my system. I went to Super-fi and Sevenoaks to hear what they had. I was immediately frawn to the Monitor Audio delection by these little speakers, but when i saw the price tag of £800 i thought they were overprices, especially seeing as they are only bookshelves. after tyring out some B&W 603 speakers i felt a little disapointed by the lack of detail and crisp-ness of hi-hat reproduction. I chose one of my favourite songs Nickelback - Someday as the song i would use to test all the different speakers. ...A few years ago I decided to purchase some studio monitoring speakers and was reccomended these speakers by some professional producers, and as a result I bought these speakers The sound is absolutely excellent, the sound properties can be altered on the speaker units themselves to deliver a completely flat sound no matter their proximity to the wall or the height at which they are positioned. The sound is very crisp and the bass is very punchy without being overpowering, all in a all a great asset to have in a studio. They can also be purchased with an accompanying subwoofer which can add to the experience, but is by no means essential. I had a slightly problem with one of my speakers about 2 years ago where it simply stopped working and produced only a buzzing nosie from both the tweeter and the main driver.
