Bravo Breva - aquila, dammi ali per volare
Review of Moto Guzzi Breva 750 by
argus92
Advantages: Great Looking and Understressed
Disadvantages: For Us - None
...Apart from our respective cars, my partner and I are motorbike enthusiasts and own two. One is a Classic Vincent Comet which was a basket case and rebuilt by my partner, consequently his pride and joy. The other, our touring bike the Moto Guzzi Spada III. As we have aged we found the Spada III’s bulk and weight a struggle to get from the rear garden to the road (a long and sloping hike) and I couldn’t handle it at all. We also found we were not doing enough miles for this excellent long distance tourer. So with regret, because we had no complaint whatsoever about the SPIII, we decided to go for a smaller, lighter bike of the same marque. We also had the desire to still belong to the excellent Moto Guzzi Club GB.
So after much deliberation we plumped for a Moto Guzzi Breva 750.
After looking at the Brevas for sale at Twiggers...

Review of Moto Guzzi V35 PA by

Advantages: engine sound, rumble of an italian v-twin,
Disadvantages: rumble of an italian v-twin, cold starting in winter
...The Moto Guzzi V35 was my first big bike after completing my full test. My dad is a big moto guzzi fan and that was the main reason that I ended up getting a guzzi. Initially i was sceptical, the bike being italian built and quite old. However, once i was riding it my opinion quickly changed. The bike handles incredibly well for a bike of its age, it is well balanced and nice and light.
The V35's engine delivers roughly 33 BHP, hence it is perfect for any younger riders who have just passed their test. 33 BHP may not sound like much but on the moto guzzi it is a well delivered amount of power. Most of it is delivered at the lower end of the rev range creating a lot of torque. It is quick to accelerate as far as a smaller, older engined bike goes and will carry a single rider upto 90MPH however, it is most comfortable at 70MPH...

Squiggles Has The Ride Of her Life.....
Review of Moto Guzzi California Special by
fclayson
Advantages: long distance easy rider, reliable, cheap to run and maintain
Disadvantages: wont outpace a determined cyclist, old technology, seems basic, noisy
...You grope your way blindly into a dark alleyway, feeling for the two lumps of unyielding hot material; she stands there, smoking slightly, still hot from your last meeting, expectant and ready for you. Nonchalantly, you nod at her, but she ignores you, standing with her back to the wall.
You want to get your leg over, to feel the throbbing lump between your legs as you ride and ride, but first you want to look at her...because she is simply gorgeous...later you will sit on her and listen to her soft growl, but for now, she waits for you to insert your...ignition key!
Hey, this isn't a page from the Kama Sutra, but this Moto Guzzi is a machine that encapsulates passion...
You look her over, and see Italian craftsmanship in her making; two glorious cylinders, sticking out across the frame, a shapely 'V' formation that can only...

Nevada 750
Review of Moto Guzzi Nevada Club 750 by
rocker_1990
Advantages: Good looking, fast and reliable, good price, value for money
Disadvantages: not much of a tourer not comfy, addictive!
...The Moto Guzzi Nevada is one of the tasties bikes i've ever seen, and i fell in love with it instantly.
They come as standard with metzlar tyres, which are satisfactory and then some, and numerous suprises which i will come to later.
The first thing that got me about this bike was the looks, it's tasty, and also, almost perfectly symetreical, they even added an extra horn, so that it would be symetrical, and this give your a good loud horn as well.
It get's good fuel consumption, although that's a good thing when you conisder the small tank size, personally i find it irritating.
The italians have never been renowned for good electrics, and i find from time to time the left indicator plays up, however it has a very well lit dashboard for when you are doing 70mph (cough) in the dark, and you can see it easily, it even has...

Born Again Biker
Review of Moto Guzzi Nevada Club 750 by
PhilipHales
Advantages: Goes on and on relentless
Disadvantages: Not the most comfortable for someone over 6ft.
...Last time I was on 2 wheels was 35 years ago - a Lambretta Cento 100cc. I was a Mod at 17. Having secured a job up in London I wanted transport which was going to get me there (without the queues, and was more flexible than bus or train). Having looked around I ended up with a 2 year old Nevada, with 2,800 miles on the clock.
I was really scared about taking it for a test drive, and ended up going around the streets taking left handed corners, but as they say - you never forget.
So having ridden the Guzzi up the motorway, through London for the last 6 weeks - what do I think. I love it!
It is reasonably quiet, and has a smooth acceleration. Cleaning the alloy is a bit of a pain, but servicing, which I will undertake myself looks very easy - with all bits easily 'getatable'.
Being a car driver for 35 years, it took me...
