Tomy Multi-Gym Walker - Great Multifunctional Toy
Review of Tomy Multi-Gym Walker by
priorite
Advantages: Sturdy, Bright, Multifunctional
Disadvantages: None
...Okay so my 1st Ciao product review – so go easy on me!
When my son was a couple of months old I started looking round for a baby-gym.
I wanted something that had a little more than the seemingly standard pastel soft toys on and this seemed to fit the bill.
Quite a few places stocked it for £17.99 but then I saw it on offer for £12.99 in Woolworths and couldn’t resist.
However, I haven’t seen it for a while and am unsure if it has been discontinued in favour of the ‘next-stage’ multi-product.
The product is advertised as a 6-1 toy, however the main uses are as a baby-gym and a walker – the other uses are just a bit of a gimmick really.
On opening the box the baby-gym was self-assembly, but this doesn’t require any special tools and is very straightforward – taking only a few minutes.
As a baby-gym it is a very good toy – it has three...

Sparkling good fun!
Review of Fisher Price Sparkling Symphony Gym by
JSinclair
Advantages: Encourages child to reach out for thing - improves hand eye co-ordination.
Disadvantages: Clips could be more user friendly
...My mother bought this baby gym for our son (under strict instruction from me!) as a birth present. I liked the idea that it was multi-functional and would adapt easily with your growing child and therefore be excellent value for money.
We started off with the top section the baby gym fixed to the side of our sons cot, but found that he wasn't really interested in it as it was too high for him to focus on properly, as it only attached to the top section of the cot.
We then decided to re-attach it to the legs and have our son laying under the hanging play items. He wasn't really surewhat to do at first, but was definately encouraged by the fact that if he hit or kicked the toys hanging down the music started to play and the lights started to flash. He soon realised that it was his actions of hitting the toys that made the lights...

A complete gym in your home
Review of York bodygym 2003 by
NIGSY
Advantages: Useful for the whole family
Disadvantages: restricted maximum user weight
...YORK Body Gym 2003
Due to the nature of my work I used to have a bit of spare time during the day, so I filled it in by going to the local gym.
This had 2 purposes , 1, it got me from under my wifes feet, and 2, it helped keep me fit .
But due to unforeseen family problems I can not get to the gym as much any more , so I had to find an alternative method of keeping fit at home.
I have looked at all the different electronic gadgets ( personally none of these really work), Then I turned my attention to free weights and Multi gyms, which believe me they are good and obviously work, But I do not live in a mansion , plus having a 6 year old son and a disabled 10 year old son who are both very nosey means leaving heavy weights and machines laying around pretty dangerous .
Then one day my eldest daughter was watching QVC ( as she does...

Playnest and Gym exercise for body and mind
Review of Galt Baby Nest by
Penfold49
Advantages: Enhances playtime and encourages child development
Disadvantages: Storage
...~@~ GALT PLAYNEST AND GYM ~@~
“A soft supporting multi-sensory environment for baby, Playnest features a fun farm scene with the Gym as the sky above.” This is the introduction as written on the instructions.
The Playnest and Gym is for babies from birth to about 8 months, then the playnest alone can be used for older children as they wish.
Basically the ‘Playnest’ is an inflatable ring which sits inside a canvas, durable and machine washable, cover with farm scenes on. The ‘Gym’ is a set of 8 plastic poles and connectors which fit together, making 4 longer poles that meet at the top and is then again placed in a canvas covering and fitted via loops to the outside of the playnest. This gives a framework to hang the toys from using the numerous interlocking rings supplied. The following toys...

Little tykes junior activity gym
Review of Little Tikes Junior Activity Gym by
yabbis21
Advantages: Hours of fun for the kids
Disadvantages: Have to take it apart to fully clean it
...My three children have their own little adventure playground in the back garden swings, slides and trampolines.
When it was cold or rainy they had nothing to play on indoors so i bought them the activity gym they were absolutly chuffed to bits with it they could play with this toy indoors or out,so in the winter they had it indoors and in the summer the little ones played on it out doors as a climbing frame.
It is aproximatly a metre high and about the same wide It looks quite pretty with its multy coloured sides, base and slide.
The base comes in to pieces which is coloured blue there are four sides which easily click into place the colours of the sides are green orange and yellow. The slide just slots into place and can be removed so it can be used just as a climbing frame .The colour of the slide is pink.
Children have hours of fun...

Exercise That's Bad For Your Health!!!!
Review of Weider 8515 Crosstraining Gym by
bazzaoleary77
Advantages: Whenever You Want It's There
Disadvantages: Hard To Assemble and Dangerous
...I am like most people in the fact I like to keep fit and look as good as I possibly can and to help me along with this I bought the Weider 8515 Multi Gym because of being at home with five children it can be very hard to find the time to get down to my local gym and at just £299.00 I thought I was really getting a good bargain. I ordered the Gym from a home shopping catalogue and was very disappointed at having to wait a whole 5 weeks for delivery but eventually it arrived. Below I will take you through my experience of this Gym in a step by step process and include all the features you need to know about it and what I found good and bad about it, this will hopefully provide you with enough information to make an informed purchasing decision.
Setting Up
--------------
The Gym itself arrived to me in what seemed like a hundred thousand...

“It’s not naked…it’s nude”
Review of Member Advice on Choosing a Gym by
zoe_page
Advantages: I'm all smug in a "been to the gym today" kinda way
Disadvantages: Tomorrow is another day
...rather than running, and lets you multi task in a way I like.
• Staff
Certain receptionists aside, the staff at my place are great. The trainers (there’s always at least one in the gym) are friendly and helpful, and the managers courteous and professional. When we bounce though it’s not in their job description, most staff members will help us drag out mats and such like. They quite happily give you change for the lockers even after they’ve shut the till, and generally make it a nice place to go. In Germany the place was owned by a couple. Since there was also a bar there whichever one was working would also be running that, so not really available for general membership enquiries or class questions unless you went looking. Which you could do, of course, but it was a hassle, and I very much like not having to do so anymore.
• Classes...

Decent board for new weight lifters
Review of York DB5 Bench by
srtom
Advantages: Good bench for beginners, Sturdy, Stood the test of time, Potential for many exercises
Disadvantages: Problems occur with heavy weights (n/a for beginners), Fairly expensive
...Having started weight lifting 4 years ago I am pretty experienced in benches, exercises and what is needed to build muscle successfully. The York DB5 bench is a pretty good bench for beginners as the multi-usage means you can start your weight lifting career in your leisure at home or wherever you decide to keep the bench! Personally when I bought it I stuck it straight in the garage and used it in all weathers including cold temperatures, rain, heat, snow and it has still only rusted marginally despite these conditions.
It caters for the following:
Flat Bench for Pec, chest & arm exercises. – good for these as a solid technique can be used for each while using the bench. Concentration curls (for arm) are fairly hard to do because of the shape of the bench, but still do-able. Helps if you are taller than 6ft!
Incline Bench...
