Nike Town - New York City!!!!!!!
Review of Nike Town (Shop) by
joedirt99
Advantages: Nike Town in New York - Heaven!
Disadvantages: Computer says 'none'!
...or escalators, it was just over-whelming. There were plenty of staff on hand to help get around, but I advise you to just go it alone. Every floor is different, from American Football to Soccer (English Football) and Basketball to Athletics. The different catagories and range of products with-in them catergories was just amazing. Every Floor was fully staffed and any questions that I had were answered immediately. Nike as a company are not cheap, the quality of the clothes is much higher than other brands so you must expect to pay more. With the Nike Town I visited being in America, it was a little cheaper than the uk, but still expensive. I wear alot of Nike sports wear as I play alot of football and other sports, and although more expensive than other brands, totally worth it as a lot higher quality.
I most certainly recommend Nike Town...

Nike Mercurial Vapor II is 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS!
Review of Nike Mercurial II SG by
kofi_goso
Advantages: Very Light, good quality and very cheap.
Disadvantages: Not very comfortable.
...Nike Mercurial Vapor II SG was being worn by the world fastest and greatest footballers such as Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and more. It is superlight weighing only 200g and it's handmade from Italy. It used to be the lightest football boot but was outrun by the Nike Mercurial Vapor III which only weighs around 185g but Nike Mercurial Vapor II is still a good choice cause it is stylish definitely cheap and your money worth. It is made out of Nike Skin which is a superlight and very thin material. Lightweight performance boot doesn't matter if you are a Sunday league or a professional player the Nike Mercurial Vapor II SG is a good choice for every type of player. The Studs provides perfect agility and acceleration giving you the player a head start on all the others. You can buy this product at eBay for just 20£ to 40...

The football shoe for a real football player
Review of Nike Total 90 F.G. by
jeffe
Advantages: Great control and looks good
Disadvantages: Studs wear out quickly
...This shoe symbolises everything that Nike stands for. Performance, style and superiority. When I put on my Total 90 shoes I just feel different. I feel like a real football player. Even on the pitch, my ball control improves significantely and passing/shooting the ball with the outstep is much easier than with a conventional football shoe.
The shoe is also really eye catching. Mainly because the laces are situated more on the outside of the shoe. This, together with the nice-looking pattern and colours and the fact that there is two Nike swooshes automatically make you attract people's attention (and I don't mean by your football skills).
Another good thing about Nike's Total 90 is that it is very comfortable to play in. It is sufficiently padded on the outside unlike other football shoes and so it does not hurt when you shoot...

Probably the best firm ground boots ever
Review of Nike Air Zoom Mercurial F.G. by
beanie8844
Advantages: Lightweight, Long-lasting, Comfortable
Disadvantages: Little protection from injury
...As a football coach who also plays competitvely twice a week my choice of football boots is extremely important. When playing on soft ground I use the new Adidas F50+ boots, but when the ground is hard there is no substitute for the Nike Air Zoom Mercurials. With a pricetag of over £100 they are expensive, but will prove tremendous value for money in the long term. I've had my pair for two years now, but you wouldn't know it apart from the studs being slightly worn down.
The best feature of the boots is how little they weigh (approx 185g), giving you the feeling of being able to run faster and accelerate away or towards an opponent. The shape of the boots and the soft leather make a great contact surface with the football for accurate passing and shooting. They are also extremely comfortable to wear.
The only negative thing you can...

My views on the Nike Sparta Football
Review of Nike Sparta Ball by
garsbfc
Advantages: Excellent leather
Disadvantages: Pain for goalkeepers
...these are my views on the Nike Sparta ball. there is not very much to write about when describing a football, however i will do my best to share my opinion on this ball.
firstly my experience of this ball has been a positive one. the ball is made from an excellent leather which gains good leverage with a decent kick. this is important as some balls, no matter how hard they have been hit, will only travel a certain distance before descending.
when i first bought the ball, about 6 months ago, i only used to play with it on grass, as i didnt want to scuff the leather so that the patches wore and started to fall off. however for the past 2 month i have been playing with the ball on concrete regularly and the ball is still intact. this shows the the robustness of the ball and the quality of the leather it is made from.

Celtic Nike home shirt 07/08
Review of Nike Celtic Home Football Shirt by
Craig_Bhoy
Advantages: Good material, available cheaper now.
Disadvantages: Out of date for 08/09 season.
...A tribute shirt to the European Cup winning Lisbon Lions of 1967, and a shirt that I love. Probably my favourite set of 'the hoops' I have owned.
Made from a stronger, better quality material than Nike used for the previous home shirt. Better shade of green than the previous effort aswell.
Bottom right of the shirt as in the picture is stitching which says "It's a grand old team to play for". A nice touch. The badge is encircled by embroidery which is in Portuguese about the Lisbon Lions 40 th anniversairy.
It is important to bear in mind that since this shirt is to commemorate the 1966/67 season victory, it will only be in use by the Celtic first team for the 2007/08 season. However this has benefits as the shirt is now available for around £10 if you shop around.
All in all a great effort from Nike....

Nike get's the blues with the reds.
Review of Nike Manchester United Away Football Shirt by
kevduts
Advantages: Nice shirt, very fashionable
Disadvantages: United in blue - just not on
...Once again, the powers that be have had their way over the true fans. Manchester United in blue - it is just not on.
The kit itself is very nice, slick looking and extremely fashionable. A royal blue colour with red trim, and white logos makes for a very attractive shirt. The only problem - it is just not Man U!
The vodafone logo (update: now replaced by AIG) is in white across the centre of the shirt, with a white nike tick in the breast, and the club logo in a central position on the breastbone.
The shorts are in the same colour, baggy, with the red trim on the seam at the base, and the socks being nikes current half and half with blue fronts and red on the back.
As I say, the kit is lovely, once again expensive at £40 for an adult shirt, but somehow is just not a Man U shirt in feel or appearance.
The shirt is comfortable...

Just do it
Review of Nike Championship League Skills Ball by
martynlong22
Advantages: Good for Strikers
Disadvantages: Bad for Keepers
...If you don't own a Nike product these days you are certainly in the minority. The Nike advertising machine has really gone into overload recently, with big money adverts featuring top footballers the norm. You've all seen the one with Edgar Davids and those stupid sunglasses, well their new range of Footballs have been even more contraversial. Keepers claim the new lighter ball swerves too much, while unsurprisingly strikers are haling it as their saviour! Well the first time i came across the ball i could easily see a dramatic difference to ordinary balls, i shocked even myself with the speed of the ball as it flew through the air at the speed of light!
It is undoubtedly a great ball for outfield players, the pace is dramatic while the unpredictable swerve plays havoc with even the greatest of goalkeepers.
The jury is still out...

Expensive but worth it!
Review of Nike Air Shield Shinguard by
hiphop600
Advantages: Feel great
Disadvantages: Expensive
...I have been playing football for many years for a club, and so I have gone through a fair share of shin pads, varying from make to make!
In my time I have worn shinpads by Umbro, Adidas and Puma but these definately do not compare to the new style of Nike shin pads. Nike have bought out many shin pads in their time which have been average just like any other shin pads, stiff and heavy. This can distract you in a match as you feel you have to keep adjusting them but recently Nike have brought out a reveloutionary new type of shin pad, called Nike air shin pads.
Instead of the normal hard plated shin pads, these have plates covering the front with air as well to cushion the impact of any fierce tackles! They are excellent - light, comfortable and provide the protection necessary!
Eventhough they are on the expensive side of around £20...

NIKE STAND-UP SPEAK-UP! ANTI-RACISM BAND
Review of Nike Swimwear by
alan74
Advantages: Stand-up for your rights! Unite As One! Be Seen As One!
Disadvantages: EBAY PIRATES! Up-to 700% inflation! Difficult To Get Hold Of!
...Right before you all shoot me in the head for putting this in the wrong place, I’ve searched this site for over an hour looking for ‘Nike bands’ or ‘bully bands’ without any joy, so hence I’ve put it here. If you know of anywhere better, I’m all ears.
So, the question is, what does ‘STAND-UP, SPEAK-UP’ mean? Simple, it’s an anti-racism band from Nike, two bands, one black, one white linked together with those words imprinted into both. Simple enough yes?
(A couple of pictures down below if you haven’t seen them yet).
Loads of people are now wearing these, especially footballers; you may have seen a handful wearing them today in the England match, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and to name just two. Naturally they have become a bit of a fashion icon as well, the same as the radio 1 ‘bully bands’.
So what am I moaning about then...
