...All in One Piece' by Jill Murphy is a really fun read for little children and parents alike. Jill Murphy is quite a prolific children's writer and is well known for her 'Worst Witch' series of books. She has also written a number of books about a family of elephants, called the Large family,and this book is part of that series. This particular one was written in 1987 and has certainly stood the test of time! Although they are elephants, the Large family take on all the characteristics and traits of any normal family. There are six members of the family - Mum, Dad, Luke, Laura, Lester and the baby. In this story Mum is desperately looking forward to a well earned night out with her husband - I know the feeling! - they certainly don't come round often enough when you have small children! .... All in one piece Jill Murphy This again is a book I bought in the charity shop for 20p its full price is £4.99. I bought it as an addition to Adrian’s library. This book was published in 1999 so it’s not that old I have read this book before to children at work and enjoyed reading it and the responses it got from the children This book is suitable for 4 to 6 year olds reading level 2. The story is about the large family an enchanting elephant family Mr Large Mrs Large their 4 children baby , Lester, Luke and Laura and granny. Mr and Mrs large are going out to the office diner dance granny is going to baby sit. This story is about Mr and Mrs larges attempt to get out of the house all in one piece. Jill Murphy has written a simple children’s story about a family of elephants who have to go on an enforced diet by Mrs. Large who has decided she is too fat. Not only does she recommend a healthy diet but a healthy life style as well. No T.V. just a jog round the park. Mr. Large and the children try to please, but notice that they are not losing any weight. Then the test comes in the form of a lovely cake from Granny. Will they eat it? Advantages: Some very decent music
Disadvantages: For the fans, the new songs are a bit of a let down

...strength of character too. It is this combination that has enabled her to release a greatest hits album "Pieces of a Dream" after only five years as a major label singer, yet still manage to pack it with hits. The album opens with the debut single, "I'm Outta Love", a song which grabbed me from the first and made me an Anastacia fan to start with. In five years, nothing has changed and I still love this song. It's a high tempo pop song, with soul undertones and a beat that has you dancing and unable to help yourself. At the time this was released, there was really no-one who combined soul and heavy pop the way Anastacia did and there are very few singers today who have the strength in their vocal to pull it off even now. ...puts it away for visitors. No one can stop thinking about the cake and in the middle of the night mum elephant gets up to have a piece of cake, when she gets to the cupboard she finds……… only one piece of cake left Mr large spots her and says caught in the act. The light is switched on and all the children are hiding under the table. Mrs large eats the last piece of cake. Luke says I do think elephants are supposed to be large, and baby says wibbly wobbly wibbly wobbly. This is a good book that produces lots of smiles. Thank you for reading with me, wibbly -wobbly”...
