Advantages: Ultra Realistic, Become a better player than you could ever hope to be, slow motion effects on top shots, Special moves, Can be played in a small area

...Table Tennis is the fastest ball sport in the world, but most atheletes wouldn't never consider playing such a sport. Thats fine with me though becuase i believe theyt are missing out on one of the most enjoyable games around. Now finally, from the warm spot in your couch you can play too! with spin drive ping pong (SDPP) you will soon be smashing and spinning ping pong balls all over the place. This is the first realistic table tennis game I have ever seen for a console, and my what a great job they have done of it. All the players have there own signature shot such as: speedball, disappearing ball and Fast spin ball. These add immesly to the game, as you never know when your opponent will use one of special shots and slam the ball whizzing past your head. ...I had Pong on the PC last Christmas hoping it would bring back some of the magic of the original all those years ago. Pong, if you don’t know already involves the use of a small “Pallet” or a long rectangular tube a few centimetres long. You can use this pallet to rebound the moving ball back to an opponent be it a different human player or the computer. If the ball goes pas your ‘Pallet’ then the other player gains a point and so on. The makers of this game, ATARI have for sure soiled this game by trying to innovate it for the next generation of gamers. They have tried making more interesting and complex levels e.g. in the snow and rebounding balls into clowns mouths, which has not paid off. This can most often be very hard to achieve and has allowed the game to loose its fast paced action element... Read review

...Ping Pong has been top of my boyfriend and mine's hit list for a while now, and on Friday, after a particularly stressful week, he decided to surprise me with dinner! Slap bang in the centre of the West End on Great Marlborough Street, Ping Pong has just celebrated its first birthday, and has also opened a second branch in Paddington. An entirely new restaurant concept, the main theme is dim sum. The only downside is that you are unable to book a table for less than 8 people, which we found to be a bit of a problem when we arrived on a Friday night and the queue was out of the door! But undeterred, we decided we'd do our time and wait to be seated, taking it as a sign of the restaurant's obvious popularity! ...Ok, i'm not going to bore you with the science of golf irons, if a reveiwer started going on about the science you would be so confused that you wouldn't know which iron to get. ping irons are one of the best irons any golfer can buy, not only do ping custom fot you out that also provide you with the iron which is best for you. Go into any golf shop and you can buy a number of makes straight off the shelf, but what if you are 6 foot 5, or 5 foot 6? all the irons on the shelf are the same size and have the same degree of lie on the floor. Ping irons have 10 different degree of lie ranging from: gold to maroon 'dot', the dot on the golf club is spasific to how you hold the club, and how you place it on the floor. lets go back to the shelf iron. If you are 6 foot 5 say the iron may not lay on the floor flush and the toe end... Read review

...for a slightly off-centre strike that you ended-up having to be as accurate as a professional to master them. So the club pro suggested I forget the X-20's (which I didn't like anyway) and replaced my 3 and 4 irons with a hybrid. In the end I tried 3 different hybrid clubs, all of which are equivalent to a standard 4 iron, a Callaway steel shaft, a Cobra standard graphite shaft and the Ping G5 graphite shaft. All these clubs had a loft of 23/24 degrees. I was instantly impressed as my first few shots with each club sailed well past the 185 yard mark with little effort, but whats important with this type of club is that you can hit them high enough to be able to get them to land on the green and stop quickly, not hit the green and bounce right off. I've found that I can hit the Ping 24 degree loft hybrid as high as a 7 iron. The reason I went... Read review

...Due to the new R&A rules on Drivers and the limits on the trampoline effect the face can have (COR) I was forced to get rid of my Taylor Made XR-03. After a little looking around and trying a few of my friends driver (Titleist and King Cobra mainly) I decided to give a ping G5 a try. Recently Ping brough out a newer / updated driver (the G10) priced at about £180 so I hoped the G5 would come down significantly but sadly not, they were still retailing for about £145 / £155, so I set about getting one from e-bay, where generally they retail at between £80 and £95 - much more reasonable. The 460cc titanium head is best described as round with a deep face (as opposed to the more elongated profile and shallower face of some newer drivers) and finshed in black with a white half moon (including a small black line in the middle) to assist... ...When Rockstar games announced they were developing for the Xbox 360 everyone expected their usual fare, a new Grand Theft Auto or Midnight Club, maybe a sequel to Manhunt, but definitely something urban and gritty. But what did we get, a game of ping pong. Everybody laughed at first, they thought it had to be some sort of joke, but now the games here, and believe me, it's no joke. Rockstar may be new in the field of sports games, but they have really excelled with their first offering in the genre. Everything about the game is extremely polished, from the photo realistic graphics, perfect gameplay physics, and suitable sound effects to the simple uncluttered menus. This really is the perfect simulation of the sport. Gameplay is easy to pick up with your analogue stick controlling your player and direction of shot and your controllers... Read review
