Review of Power Devil Variable Speed Jigsaw by johnt

Advantages: good features, cheap price,very versatile

...I bought a variable speed Power Devil jigsaw from Argos to replace my old, and rather knackered, Black & Decker one. This was on offer at £15 and came with a dozen blades. It has variable speed with speed lock, which is great for cutting delicate materials as it lets you start off gently it also has blade guard and adjustable cutting angle. Changing blades is very straightforward, the allen key is stored in a small recess on the saw, so is less likely to be lost. I like their range of power tools, they are well made, have plenty of feature and are very reasonably priced.... Read review

Gets in the corners
Review of Power Devil Angle Sander by johnt

Advantages: Far easier than by hand, good finish
Disadvantages: Bit noisey

...Having refurbished the kitchen, re varnishing the doors etc I was fed up with using sand paper to get into all the awkward corners. This was very time consuming and boring. The quality of the finish was not too good either. I decided it was time to get the right tool for the job. Homebase had a good selection of angle sanders, or delta sanders as they called them. They ranged in price from £13 Power Devil to about £40 for the Bosch. I decided on the Power Devil due to the far lower price and it seemd to do everything that the Bosch did. The sanding pads are very straight forward to use, they come with a velcro backing so once on they stay on yet are easy to peel off. The motor has plenty of power although it is rather noisey. Little pressure is needed to prepare the surface, I have found it to be very quick and easy to use... Read review

Better than I expected

Advantages: Bagless, cleans floors
Disadvantages: Messy to empty

...of them around our house. Having looked carefully at all the available models, the only difference is a tool or two and the “P” has 2400w of power as opposed other models that have 2200w. Another good thing is it is a bagless cleaner (further on in this review you will see I have strong reservations about emptying this particular cleaner). The fun with anything new is the unpacking, putting it together and then trying it out. What is in the box? The main cleaner, the hose, telescopic tube, 2 in 1 tool, Crevice tool, Combination floor head, Turbo brush, Turbo tool, Hard floor tool and an instruction manual. What does the cleaner look like? It is called a cylinder type as opposed to an upright. The Vax V 091 is not really cylindrical in shape, it is more triangular in shape. It is mainly electric blue, with silver highlights... Using the Bissell Lift Off.
Review of Bissell 3750E Upright/Cylinder by KITTEN3

Advantages: Good on carpets and hard floors.
Disadvantages: Heavy to carry upstairs as a complete unit.

...The Bissell Lift Off is easy to use.Power switch & brush switch easily located at the base of the handle.The brush switch turns the rotating brush on/off.ON for normal carpet cleaning.OFF for bare floor cleaning or other delicate surfaces.There is also a power hight adjustment setting for bare floors,short & medium pile carpets & plush pile carpets.The adjustment knob is at the base of the cleaner.The tools are stored at the back of the cleaner (except for one attachment?).The tools can be used with the vacuum in the upright position or with the detachable cylinder. I find the Bissell Lift Off to be a great purchase.Glides over wooden floors & carpets with plenty of suction.If your like me with wooden floors & carpets it's just a flick of a switch as you go from room to room.
