Advantages: Good for a slow sunday afternoon
Disadvantages: spoils the real predator/Alien movies

...After enjoying the first 2 predator films, unusually finding the second more entertaining than the first, and jumping my way through the Alien films, i was under the impression that Predator Vs Alien would be the beast of all films, how wrong can a person be? After showing the Alien creatures skull on the predators space craft in Predator 2 this stated that the Alien creature were weaker than the Predators, but to actually make this into a film was always going to be a difficult task for the writers. The film was slow to start and it desperately tried to explain the reason why both alien species came to meet. The three types of creatures fighting for survival in the dark depths of planet Earth, only for the strongest and smartest species to survive, but who would come out of the pits of hell. ...Predator I saw an opinion on organic gardening and was inspired to write my bit about organic gardens. Predators are used to control pests in a garden or greenhouse situation. There are many of them and can be bought for a price or you could catch a few ladybirds and they will help to control mealy bugs. The white fly predator is called Encarsia Formosa. Encarsa Formosa is a tiny wasp, which lays its eggs in half grown white `scales` developing whitefly on the underside of leaves. The eggs hatch into minute grubs, which eat the young whitefly and kill it. The grubs then pupate, the scales turning from white to black at this stage. About 14 days later the adult waste emerges to start the life cycle again. Adult wasps live for about a fortnight and only attack one particular size of scale so to cover a complete generation... Advantages: great action

...there is no doubt that this is an action adventure movie as it is packed full of great fighting scenes and steakouts. Although you dont actually see the predator until half way through the film the action still builds at a phenominal rate. It is obvious arnold schwarzenegger was not put in the lead role of this play because of his acting talent alone but he plays the part very well. Considering the time the film was made the special effects in the explosions and predator himself are excellent. Compared to other films in this era predator is up there as a classic and would do its self justice in anyones dvd collection. I think if you are thinking of buying this its a very good choice especially if you like action movies such as rambo platoon even apocolypse now... Read review

...What the films about The movie predator is about Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and a bunch of his commandos are hired by the CIA to go into to a central America and rescue people from the guerrilla fighters. But while they are there they encounter something more deadly than that, the fearsome Predator. The Predator is built for fighting it can not be killed by any man-made object such as guns knifes. And he is invisable which makes him the perfect Predator. The sound The sound is really clear and crisp which is great for an old film and it is on Dolby 5.1. Sound effects great like all the weapons the Predator uses. Its really well done Whats good about the film? The way that it is made. Arnies acting skills are quality and make the movie even better. Since the movie was made in the 80's it hasn't really dated and its become a all time... Read review

...Hello i am new and this is my review on Aliens V's Predator Requiem After i watched the first of these films i was looking forward to this one hoping there would be more melee style combat than in the first outing. So in this film the initial Exenomorph {alien} is mixed with the DNA of the predator species creating one bad ass alien possibly more dangerous than the Queens as seen in other Aliens films. After killing the predators on board the ship, this alien crash lands back on earth on the outskirts of a town. Face huggers get loosee killing a boy and his dad hunting and all aliens choose to keeps themselves in the sewer system. On the predator homeworld a lone predator discovers these rogue aliens back on earth and knows he must kick the skittles out of them before humaity is over run. Advantages: two DVD's of killing and blood
Disadvantages: bit expensive but its ok

...The original movie Predator, featuring Arnold Schwarzinnigger, was an action movie that relied on suspense and horror to hold the audience. In Predator 2, we find Danny Glover (of Lethal Weapon) playing Mike Harringan investigating mysterious forces that are killing drung dealers. The movie attempts to instill a little thought into the concept of Alien Predators, to keep the viewer intrigued with all the little plots and sub-plots. Predator 2 is very gory in parts, and some of the scenes where there are drug dealers hanging from the ceiling are very gory indeed. The movie was mildy stimulating, the mix of action and adventure, with intrigue and suspense not quite working out. Danny Glover does his best to hold together the weak plot with some great acting, but the movie falls down in many areas. Firstly, I do not really understand why... Read review

...Ok so I brought the boxset of the two avp films - and it did cost me near on £40 at the time because avp requiem had only just been released - hopefully the price will be slightly better for you now. As a fan of both alien and predator I had high hopes on going to watch the first avp at cinema and was a little dissapointed - Avp - From director Paul WS Anderson's comes an inspired melt of two sci-fi horrors alien and predator. An expedition heads for Antarctica after billionaire Lance Henriksen discovers a pyramid under the ice. They trigger the pyramid which then reconfigures every ten minutes and with aliens trying to eat them and predator trying to kill alien it is all very much a messy blood battle as the humans try to escape. The characters and most of the acting is appaling - but then that is not what this film is about... Read review
