That was a Second Close Shave
Review of Remington R 950 by
ray52
Advantages: Shaves close. Easy to Grip. Titanium Blades.
Disadvantages: None for me.
...Following on from my previous review of a Remington shaver (see That was a Close Shave 1st June 2002), I needed to buy some new blades for it. I went to the Remington store in the McArthur Glen Outlet Shopping Mall in York (North Yorkshire), where I bought the razor.
When I asked about buying the 3 replacement blades, the very helpful assistant pointed out to me that for about £6 GBP extra I could purchase a brand new shaver.
This I did and bought the Remington Fasttrack Titanium Rotary Shaver Model R-950. Alright, the sales assistant got a better sale, but the pop-up trimmer on my old razor had stopped working. So, in the end, I think I got a great deal. The cost of the Remington Fasttrack Titanium Rotary Shaver Model R-950 was £47.99BGP which is £12.00GBP cheaper than the normal recommended price.
My personal choices of the main...

Remington R320 Titanium - excellent value
Review of Remington R 320 R3 Titanium by
christopherwalsh26
Advantages: Close shave, good looks, and cheap
Disadvantages: Takes a while to re-charge
...Having used a 6 year old Phillips equivalent, I was impressed by the smotthness of the shave. The re-charging facility is slow, but that is a minor problem, and alternative speedier models are available. I purchased the product from Amazon, for around £25, which I feel is excellent value for money.
I like the look of the product too, and it compares well with far more expensive shavers on the market.
I did have to return the product, since the metal prongs, which connect to the charger broke, and this appears to be a known, but rare fault. The product was returned to Remington via Freepost, and I am pleased to say that a replacement, brand new R320 was supplied to me in under a week.
I'm pleased to confirm that not only is there a smooth shave, but I have experienced no cuts, and my 5 o'clock shadow now appears closer to about 7...

Keep The Receipt - Lose Your Hair.
Review of Remington HC 310 Titanium by
samcabal
Advantages: Does The Job - For A Few Weeks.
Disadvantages: Stops Working.
....
This was no surprise to me, as my previous trimmer, had also done exactly the same thing, I do not recall what model it was but it was of a very similar design - and had the word is Remington, embossed on it.
It is difficult to comment positively about this product, but I will say. it was, or so I thought, of a sturdy design and has a good collection of accessories. Perhaps, if I had kept the receipt and been in touch with Remington they may have been able to help.
The product, at the time, was easily available. in such stores as Argos and Boots and wavered around the £30 price bracket. It now seems to be available at around £20.
I do find it funny but one of its selling points is" Titanium coated blade stays sharper longer" and usually comes with a two-year guarantee - this may have been a one-off glitch but then I remind myself of the previous...

Remington R320 R3 Titanium Series
Review of Remington R 320 R3 Titanium by
DuwDuw
Advantages: A close shave and good quality shaver with Titanium blades
Disadvantages: No charge indicator
...Remington R320 R3 Titanium Series Rotary Shaver - Designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA
I quote
"Now this product will shave you closer than a blade or your money back" wasn't that the claim of Victor Kyam in the 80's well he must have been talking about this shaver. Now having been a wet shave fan for the past twenty five years and after having had some bad experiances with a variety of dry shavers, I thought that the wet razor Gillette Mach 3 was the best thing since sliced bread. NOW ALL THAT'S CHANGED.......
Oh look a birthday present from my mother and its a new shaver and considering I have had many a row with my mother when I lived with her over the mess with shaving foam on the mirror she should have known I used a wet shave. Anyway enough of my mothers problems and back to this shaver, I decided that at least I should...

Remington R5 Diamond.
Review of Remington R 530 R5 Diamond by
mattyboy4
Advantages: Very easy with many functions.
Disadvantages: None
.... The cheapest price (£39.99) is very reasonable for what is actually included in the razor, as it glides comfortably across the skin with no irritation, and this is what most men look for in a razor. The product is available quite easily from amazon, but is also sold in other shops like john lewis. There are 7 basic rotart shavers available from remington, from the steel series, to the titanium series, then to the diamond series, the R7 diamond series being the most advanced and therefore expensive, and the R1 steel series being the cheapest but therefore also havin the the least to offer. Information of all of these products are available on the remington-europe home page.
Hope this has helped....
